Weights up, scales down…

our weather has been a little weird too. we FINALLY started getting some rain this week after about 5 months of drought. but honestly, not that much rain and now next week is supposed to be dry again. craziest fall I can remember.
 
It has been a super wet year here, but turned off super dry August and September. Sunday cold front coming so temps dropping back to upper 60’s. Bring it on

Looks terrible, but I think everyone realizes what a tremendous waste of water it would be for all of us to just artificially keep the lawns going considering now just how dry it’s been but also unseasonably hot. Every day for the last month it’s been mid 80s still, 12-16* over the annual average daily. People (besides myself) are still wearing tank tops everywhere.

you know whats funny about that is my dad was telling me his water is less expensive in the desert in Arizona than in Puget Sound. super bizarre.

I kept about 3/4 of my yard "pretty green" with the small diy sprinkler system doing small daily morning waterings but I didn't fight the areas that I could tell just weren't going to make it. I've gone back and forth over the years and found that a few minutes of watering the yard every morning ends up keeping my grass much greener and uses a lot less water than when I tried to "catch up" on the weekends moving the sprinklers around everywhere or using the nelson tractor sprinkler.

Yeah, but it’s a lot hotter here and just as dry, so nobody is bothering this summer. It’s brown in front of businesses everywhere even. It’s just silly at a certain point.

Getting excited got some pto coming up in 2 weeks going to go see grandparents, do some hunting, me and the wife get out for a date day just us, have not really got away much this summer so looking forward to some time away!

This afternoon taking the kids to a trick or treating deal around the lake about a 1 mile loop and should be a good time!

The library is really cool; easy to get a lot of novelty for them that teaches them and builds imagination too

Trick or treating with kids is great! The costumes are always fun, plus I love seeing the neighbors who just wheel them around in wagons and drink beers on the walk. What were your kids dressed up as?

Pretty simple found a little witch costume for her and him we just did a little Halloween shirt and he rode in the wagon!
 
Yesterday did some weights to just get blood moving and 30 minutes incline treadmill

That's a good session for evening after putting kids to bed! I'd have zero drive to do that afterwards. By the time we can make it downstairs for a little TV time, it's usually around 9:30 and I'm pretty much spent at that point!

Also I guess I didn’t clarify I do 3- 5 minutes warming up and 2-3 cooling down so I’m usually 38-40 minutes. I just count the time I’m on incline.
