Week off, Keep eating??

Hi,

I am 8 weeks into a 12/16 week clean-ish bulk.

I just had the worst chest/tri day I can remember, sore shoulders, tired, generally unmotivated and crappy feeling. :dunno:

I am going to take a week off and hopefully give my body a chance to catch up (maybe I'm fighting some illness off, dunno really)

The question is, should I carry on eating lots during my week off (I guess ill put on a bit of fat cos im not working out, but I worry if I cut down my food I will be starving my body of something it needs to recover as i'm just not on form!!!:damnit1:

Any comments / ideas?

Cut calories back by what you would normally burn in a workout - a few hundred per hour for the avg guy.

If you are not counting calories or measuring portions then it probably doesn't matter...

Cheers Guys.

Your comments made lot of sense, I've dropped my afternoon (pre w/o) shake as I'm not working out but gonna keep the rest of my food the same.

I try to keep a count of my cals and macros but my scales are out of batteries so I'm playing it by ear a bit anyway......

If I feel more perky tomorrow might do some cardio, I hate sitting around on my ass doing nothing!

Shoulders don't hurt today so hopefully will be back in the game next week :)

You could eat a little less than what you normally do since you're not exercising, but I wouldn't cut it down too much. Keep your protein high!

Its good to take a break every so often, but sometimes its just a lousy day. If your adamant on taking a week off, keep your calories up and just throw in a little cardio if you feel like your'e putting on fat

yea same thing is happening to me ive been feeling very tired lately and dont feel like working out so i might take a week of too but i dont want to loose weight.... should i keep drinking weight gainer too??? i usually drink it twice a day

I will also have a week off here soon. So, i will cut back in calories a bit, since i have been bulking for a while. Should i do an even cut? Cut carbs only? Ect...
