How to maintain lean mass?
consistently working out with moderate intensity? as oppose to go hard or go home
What about diet? eating to cut or just around maintenance
what supplements could help in preserving muscle mass?

Basically just keep working out normally as you would, eat to maintain your weight, supplements would be as simple as creatine, protein, and others but it is mostly just working out and dieting that maintains your muscle mass.

supplement with bcaas. The l-leucine in there will switch on the mTor pathways in your body which will hence switch on an increase in protein synthesis. by this, leucine will work to help preserve muscle mass as you eat at a deficit

As other's said, keep your protein high and supplement with BCAA's. Wouldn't say any other supplements would help you out all that much to retain muscle.

For diet carb cycling works really well. For supplements as already said l-leucine, creatine, whey, could even throw in Intimidate. Helps with sleep and sleep seems to be a big thing people dont pay attention to when it comes to muscle building and fat loss.

how about this forgotten tactic... "consistency"
being consistent with your diet training and supplementation will be the biggest factor to your ability to maintain mass.

I agree with you CJ. Normal workout is necessary and will help to gain body muscles. Healthy diet is also necessary for it.
