Stupid warmup, almost a whole workout in itself: 5 min jump rope, renegade rows, pull ups, farmers walks and suitcase carries.
Bench day:
Banded bench, thick 1.25" band
Bar+band 2x10
95+band 3x10
". 4x5
No band, 2ct pause bench
135 2x10
135 3x5
155 4x5

Circuit: 10 ring dips,10 55lb DB pullovers,10 chin ups
1st and 3rd sets BW
2nd set 15lb weight on dips/chins
4th set 25lb dips/chins

Felt good, spiced things up a bit.... Good day

What's a suitcase carry? Sounds a lot like a farmers walk...
 
Ring dips crush my pecs. I have s hard time holding my fat ass up and keeping the handles in close.
 
I'll try to remember to vid it next time. The chili was the cats azz!!!

After another pretty intense warmup:
Sumo deads.
135 2x10 (speed sets)
185 2x10
245 2x10
All DOH to that point, switched to OU
275 2x5
315 2x5
385 3x3
Form and speed felt great! No pausing, no hitching, pretty happy... Then, just no mas! It was so weird that I kinda laughed. I tried to jump to 435 since I felt really good, no dice! Figured I just got a tad overzealous, so tried to drop back down, and just nothing was moving. No biggy, still happy with how everything felt.

Did a while buttload of strict presses at 95&115 lbs after that. Ran outta time so called it a day.

Wife wanted to hit the gym today, wasn't in my plans, but I'll take whatever I can get. She's been doing this dvd program at home, so she was pretty pumped to hit some weights. Had her do a 6 set, front squat x back squat combo, then a bunch of other crap after. As for me:
Back squats:
135 2x5
185 2x5
225 2x5
255 2x3
275 2x2
292 2x1
305 1x2
Wanted to go a tad higher, 305 felt nice, but I think I wanna hit it for 5 before I go higher again. Plus I wanna do 3 wrapless as well.

After squats we did a farmers walk/ suitcase carry medley from hell. She used 35lb KB, I used 70.
Finished up with goblet step ups for about 100 reps or so. She used a 26lb KB, I used a 53lb

So, the guy from American Ninja Warrior called me yesterday, and my wife forgot to tell me!!! He was interested in my video I sent him. Left a message today... Fingers crossed

I think so. I got some decent ups for a short old white dude
Falling on the steps is actually my biggest fear. Some of the obstacles seem pretty tough for guys under 5'9", so that's gonna be tough too

What's it called?! The salmon ladder? That one seems difficult, and the rings, and the one that you have to walk through using your hands, feet, and core. I think you'll do great, Wade! Remember that it's all about techniques when you're running up the wall. I think people get too freaked out about the first step / obstacle and fcuk up.

I got that salmon ladder all day!! I've watched a lot of people on the wall too, it's all about lean back and big leg drive. Honestly I'm just worried about slipping and falling, or something odd like that. I need to start training more body weight stuff again if I get picked to be on the show tho

I'd worry about the same thing. Lol, don't fall while you're running on that spinning thing. Nooooow, that's freaking funny!

yeah it's a pretty crazy course. IF I make it on I'll be sure to post when it's on... Gotta have a strong following to watch me make myself look silly on TV.
 
What wraps do you use? I never used to wrap but starting to get up there and feel my knees taking a large beating.
I have a cheap/light set I got from dicks that I use for the most part. I also have Inzer Grippers that are legit as hell!
