Nice session!
I've heard from several people that train with BTT affiliates that Palhares does not have a lot of people willing to train with him. They all say that he goes way too hard and tries to hurt people in training.

Same with Mighty Mo. He tries to KO his sparring partners and not incidentally, he just goes full bore at all times, so no one likes to spar with him.
He's so fluid and made Askren look like a white belt.Marcelo is so good. His facial expression while he's rolling is like he's having tea & biscuits, but then he explodes into some sick sweep and submission.
Not if you want to have a career in combat sports. That's the only way to go.

Lol, was that for real? That James Brown bit was hilarious. Were they training at 10th Planet? Cause Eddie Bravo teaches stoned all the time, so it'd be weird for Joe Rogan to get confronted at such a weed friendly gym.

Not sure what was going on, but he did his hesearch on Joe Hogan.
Rashad Evans really, really wanted to fight Jon Jones in December.
Rumors began surfacing on Wednesday that the UFC were trying to put together a December fight at UFC 140 between light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and challenger Rashad Evans, but UFC President Dana White quickly threw water on the story stating that Evans still had pins in his hand from a hand injury suffered in his fight with Tito Ortiz.
Sources speaking to MMAWeekly.com verified that Evans actually had the pins removed from his hand on Wednesday, but the former light heavyweight champion will have to undergo about 3 weeks of physical therapy before he’s allowed to return to full training.
Evans is scheduled to appear at this weekend’s UFC Fan Expo in Houston, and would not begin his treatment until next week.
By the time the treatment ended, Evans would only be about four weeks out from his scheduled bout with Jon Jones, also not knowing if physical therapy would go well and he wouldn’t suffer any setbacks during that time period.
According to sources, Evans was chomping at the bit to accept a fight with Jones in December, but the hand injury and his doctor’s advice simply outweighed his desire.
For now however, Evans will rehab his hand and wait for the call from the UFC to book his fight with Jon Jones.
It just won’t be on Dec 10 at UFC 140.

I'm not one to believe in curses, but my gawd, Rashad's road back to the LHW belt has been the most obstructed path ever. Who's next in line, Lyoto? But Lyoto is on Dana's unfriended list since his last "I want Anderson Silva money" fiasco, so I wonder. Phil Davis???
I had another unscheduled surprise today. Yesterday, my normal workout partner Dusty didn't make it to delts day, so I ended up doing all O-lifts. Today, I was planning on doing legs, but when I got to the gym, I ran into this dude who's been wanting to lift with me forever. I guess last week he'd been coming in around 4:30pm, which is my normal lifting time, to try and catch me and jump in on a workout. He came up to me when I walked in and asked what I was going to lift today, I said legs and he said he was doing back, but I know he's been wanting to lift with me for awhile now, so I said eff it, get your wraps and lets hit some back. I had to pick up the intensity even higher then normal today, because I obviously didn't want to let the guy down after wanting to lift together for so long, so I put him (and myself) through the effing ringer.

I wore him out pretty good and I feel pretty alright. We moved in & out real fast, I was drenched with sweat, but the other poor guy was wearing a black sweater or thermal. Good news, is I had a good workout, but I'm going to be hitting back again Friday, with normal workout partner. I should be fine though. I'm liking this stack. I'm already planning to run it again after an 8 weeks break. Also, I should weigh myself again in the morning. I'm starting to get that thing where people who I thought looked really big compared to myself aren't looking as big, which is usually indicative that I'm gettig bigger myself. I'm still seeing a surprising amount of vascularity in my bi's & forearms when do pulling movements, which for my thick, pork rine having skin is pretty good.

I think the Shogun/Hendo winner has next shot.
Great workout, poor guy must have been dead by the end of the workout training with you lol
Damn nice workout lol!!
Sick rack deads man! And nice finisher on the shrugs. Must have been a back breaking episode. Hopefully your buddy can move tomorrow lol.
Not sure if the world is ready for a Shogun/JBJ II yet, but Hendo would be interesting. I buy that the Shogun that arrived on fight night against JBJ was far from a 100% Shogun, but still. Tap out by strikes takes some time to live down.
Poor Rashad is never going to get his shot:

I don't mind this fight, should be interesting style wise. I want to see Hendo fight Jones.
I want to see Hendo fight Jones, too, but I see Hendo having trouble with JBJ's reach. Hendo, like Rampage, has dynamite in his fists, but it's a matter of getting close enough to JBJ to plant that bomb clean on the jaw. Hendo has a TD threat that Rampage didn't, but Hendo isn't really a double leg shooter and I just don't see JBJ letting someone like Hendo close enough to get wrapped up. I'd love to be wrong, because I'd be rooting for Hendo all the way if/when that fight goes down, but I see Hendo facing the same challanges as Rampage, perhaps Hendo won't be paralyzed to the same extent as Rampage, but still. What are anyone elses speculations on a JBJ/Hendo?
I agree with you 100%, the first fight I think of is Rich Franklin vs Hendo, even tho hendo won(imo he didn't), he had a very hard time dealing with Franklin's style of switching up all the time with punches and kicks, I think JBJ will most likely **** him up real good with kicks, but would be a fun match up to watch.
Now is it just me or is anyone else waiting for the day to see JBJ break someones leg with that front kick to the knee? same with Anderson Silva, man those look painful!
I'm feeling a little beat. I'm not sure if it's because I'm overworked or underslept, but I'm feeling a bit deflated today. I finally got to hit legs today, but I'm thinking I should have rested today. Usually, after a strong workout I feel invigorated, but I'm feeling pretty lethargic right now.
Sumo Deads
*I didn't really give these a real go. It was more of a feel out for the movement because I wanted to switch from Conventional Deads to Sumo's, because Sumo's are a bit more lumbar sparing. I really want to like these, but I just don't. Naturally, Conventional Deads feel the most natural because I have years of practice with them and the Sumo's just feel funky. I may give them more chances to see if I acclimate to them, but I don't know, I just don't like them.*

I didn't feel mentally there in my workout today. It was one of those obligatory workouts, instead of a passionate one. My head just wasn't in it. Hopefully I get some good rest and it makes a difference tomorrow. As of right now, I still intend to workout tomorrow and Saturday, but I'll see how I feel tomorrow.
Goddamn those are some NICE front squats. I kinda want to add those in to my workouts. Dang though I really need to get the damn bar holding down.. it just hurts soo much lol.. Feels like i'm pinching a vein.... my whole outer forearm goes numb... I've been thinking I should just do high pulls but for front squats... Zerchers can only be done so heavy because I like the skin and blood flowing in my arms...
“I was at a birthday party last night and I heard I’d be fighting Jon Jones. I accepted immediately, I couldn’t announce it at the time, though. Ed and Joinha told me to hold the information and it was complicated, I had to stop talking at all (laughs). In the morning I want to give a class and, when I came back, the contract was there for me to sign it. It was a reason for me to be happy, because that’s why we enter these battles for. It’ll be a strategic bout, he’s a guy who studies his opponents and so do I. Our team is a lot focused and anything can happen.”
“It’s hard, he’s is much versatile and knows a lot of techniques, but we play a similar game. He kicks, I kick, he punches and goes to the ground, I can defend myself and take him down too. Stamina and game plan are things that could define this bout’s outcome. Nobody is invincible. We’re training for the best, looking for enlarging our body and mind and that’s what I’m gonna do.”
“I’m already 100%. I used to go to the United States for a different training camp, but I’ve canceled it all with the fight announcement. I’ll focus my camp here and I’ll look for sparring who can come here and will be tough as Jon Jones.”

Like I needed another reason to hate Anderson Silva.
Do you think the winner of Stann/Sonnen gets the next shot?
I agree that Sonnen gets it with a W, but, if Stann wins, I have no clue who comes next. MW is so ridiculously thin.
Invalid Link RemovedIf Chael Sonnen didn't make your cerebellum implode in your head on a weekly basis, then he would be letting the entire MMA world down -- and let's face it, no one wants that. Here's a question for the uninitiated: What do Republican gangsters from West Linn, Oregon do when they're hungry? Easy. They pat their competitor's wife on the butt and tell her to make a medium-rare steak. Well, at least future competitor.
This week on Mauro Ranallo's 'The MMA Show,' Chael Sonnen made yet another legendary appearance and just before hanging up the phone with Mauro, he wanted Ranallo to relay a message to Anderson Silva regarding his wife.
"You tell Anderson Silva I'm coming over and I'm kicking down his backdoor and patting his little lady on the ass and I'm telling her to make me a steak, medium-rare just how I like it."
If you listen closely, you can hear Anderson Silva's speed-dialing his phone in Curitba, Brazil, asking Dana White for a rematch to a fight he already won.
Say what you want about Chael, but if he didn't run his mouth (and back it up) prior to the Andy fight, barely anyone would have bought it. Coming off of the Abu Dhabi debacle, which solidified my hatred of him, Andy's stock was so low that there was talk about letting him headline another PPV.

It's not as exciting as AnaBeta+Erase+Titanium XL+Division 1... but I am running D1 at 7-8 caps per day lol
The two start to shuffle and Anderson actually looks more fluid then the kid.
