ViSalus.....just venting here

I have a few friends who work for ViSalus....they dont know really anything about supplements, just workout. For those who dont know, its like meal replacement shakes...etc and the owner claimed to gain 20 pounds of PURE muscle in 3 months off his stuff and my friend is taking the challenge and claims to be up 7 pounds and 3 weeks..... i know, i was LOL when he said it is possible. what do you guys think? have any of you heard of it?

I don't see what you are venting about...?

well i really cant speak my mind because I am a rep....ill put it nicely....

im frustrated that my really good friend who doesnt know crap about anything thinks he can drink a shake and gain 20 pounds of pure muscle in three months when i explain everything to him and he doesnt believe me and everybody from ViSalus is the same way

just makes me mad that they make these claims and probably have company reps say they gain all that weight just so they sell the stuff.

Never heard of it... Details, who makes and sales it?

How much is it?

I see what you're saying you're venting w/o actually venting.

hahahah

i was j/w if any of you have heard of it and can link me to studies to prove to him he cant put on 20 pounds of muscle in three weeks.

I would use up your mass or MHP macrobolic MRPs first...

Protein Blend of (Soy Protein Isolate, Whey Protein Hydrolysate, and Whey Protein Concentrate), Digestive Resistant Maltodextrin (Fibersol™), High Oleic Sunflower Oil, Natural and Artificial Flavor, MCT Oil, Maltodextrin, Gum Acacia, Xanthan, Sodium Caseinate, Lecithin, Aminogen™, Mono & Diglycerides, DiPotassium Phosphate, Sucralose

Extremely unimpressive. Those "healthy fats" are present at 1g per scoop FYI.

coop, i agree 100%. and he wont believe me when i said its hard to gain 1 pound of PURE muscle without any fat or water wait a week, better yet 20 pounds of that in 3 months.

they just make me mad cause they get "paid to party" and if they reach their sales goals, they get a BMW or something like that. sounds super sketchy to me and the fact that people actually buy into it.

Like I was saying its a pyramid scheme, they get you to sell it to your friends, then invite your friends to get in on it and sell it to their friends....all the while promising you a mercedes or to be regional manager etc....same crap as the cosmetic deal the women do, arbonne....Some women I know tried to get me to sell that crap LMFAO...I was like yeah right.

Multi level marketing for the win! Unfortunately I feel like that is a great deal of what business is, though: those who know better marketing to people who know hardly anything and profiting. In other words, taking advantage.I am more surprised by the fact that so many people keep gobbling up these miracle weight loss ideas and in this case 20 pounds of lean muscle (with no fat gain, LOL!) in 3 months. It's sad that they are being taken advantage of but people should know better by now.

Herbalife 2.0

20lbs in 3 months. I guess everyone will quit using steroids then, haha.
I know a local juice head that is selling it. He is big and ripped and now claims it is from this magic potion he is selling and everyone that buys it will look like him. I dont fault anyone for wantng to make money, and if it taste good I might drink it, but more than likely its all hype

Like someone already said, its just taking advantage of people that don't know better. It's the American way!

the owner has brainwashed his employees, its insane. they actually believe the stuff he tells them, and the owner is scrawny as crap. just go on the website and look at the video he has of putting 20 pounds of muscle in three months.

and exactly, juice wont even do that. you will get some fat and water weight...smh

does he really?

He does, stupid pyramid scheme. My wife's friends are into it, it's ridiculous, always asking her to come over and try this amazing shake, how they have lost fat, best things ever...etc. The reps are super pushy and the supp profile is not impressive at all.

i know thats for sure. they are pushy. "i get paid to party" blah blah blah shut up already. we know more than they do they just listen to the owner.

any links to studies on you cant put on 20 pounds of LBM in three months?

Look into the limiting steps/rates of protein synthesis. Unless you're coming off a severe depletion, 20lbs of LBM in 3 months is impossible.

he said the owner has done it as well as many others who will speak for him. he claims he has gained 7 pounds in 3 weeks. i said show me progress pics and blood work when its all done

My high school classmate is working for visalus and I can't stand the **** he post Facebook, this guys doesn't know crap about diet supplements or even training routines,
He used to be a audio visual type of guy who makes web pages and commercials but he's into marketing
He seems to convince people here in Hawaii that his is the best thing out, hands down the best supplement/ meal replacement you can get and it's a load of crap, he's trying to get me to join because I got the connections he wants to get his "free" BMW which is all a rouse to get you in.
Just like any company if you don't put up numbers you won't get ur BMW or even keep it, it's crazy watching him jump from product to product dragging people along for the ride.

Sorry had to vent also hahahahaha

yes!! there stupid facebook crap!!!! ugh they are seriously so gay. i would love to have a face to face convo with the owner.

I hear what you all are saying and agree to a point. I am both a customer and distributor of Visalus and I am here to tell you the stuff works. My first 90 days I lost 30 lbs and now at the end of my second 90 days I am proud to say i have added 12 pounds of muscle and my body fat has gone down 6%. I am not saying that you can put on 20 pounds in 90 days but you can add mass to a body that has not done the work for some time. The shakes can be used for a variety of things and you can also use more than just two a day. Oh and the BMW yes it is real and ours is paid for and ours (2 of them) to keep forever, so in short before you bash a product do your homework.

Oh for the love of GOD! I have NEVER seen ANYBODY associated with these schemes actually receive a BMW or Mercedes. Oh, I have heard over and over that they "will be getting one".....funny enough I never saw one though. That is total BS. Unless you sold your ass off selling this stuff and saved up 30 grand to buy the BMW yourself. If so then you are one helluva a salesman, but nobody "gave it to you"......

I can gain 20 pounds in three months easy. Its not going to be muscle though!

This- Invalid Link Removed would work just as well or better than some retarded shake.

That guy is HUGE. He must be using Visalus!.

Just looked at the Youtube page. Good waste of time there. Dumb asses- UNITE!

Let me guess? It's like a cult and they are all brainwashed? I don't want to view the video's for fear of becoming one of them.....this damn DAA might have weakened my brain or something and caused me to be susceptible to their voodoo!

Just a-typical infomercial crap you see on late night television.

Do you have any proof to back that claim about your shakes? because losing 30lbs and adding 12 in muscle sounds good to me.

so what your saying is that just because of your shake you lost 30lbs and you gained 12 in muscle? no excersize no meal plan just shakes??
ive done so much homework on this product, and all it is a stupid pyramid program to take advantage of people that dont know any better.

some people can barely add 15lbs of muslce while taking roids in 3 months

And about that bmw that you have to finance under your own name and "IF" you can meet a a certain number ever month they will pay you up to $600 but if you dont, you pay it yourself.

I will say that the old Metrx "take three of these and make sure you hit your caloric marker/protein requirement for the day" does actually work for the weight loss part. If you force people to take 3 packets of something that contains like 40-50 grams of protein and 300 some odd calories, then limit them to X amount of additional calories from whatever they want (just don't go above 1800 or 2000 or whatever your formula tells you at your bodyweight)....they ARE gonna lose weight. You'll probably put on some muscle as well, with workouts, especially if you were inactive previously....but nothing like these schemes advertise. And there are better ways to go about it, using ANY protein powder/MRP....not some supposed magic powder.

dude, all it is a shake. steroids wont even do that. and a blend of protein, not 100% whey. whats so special about soy protein regarding muscle gains?

my friend who works for them who is doing the 90 day challenge....i told him to post progress pics and he has yet to do so. again, ALL IT IS A SHAKE. you get people to work for you then pimp the product and get consumers who dont know crap about anything to believe it.

by the way, it sounds like a mix of viagra and cialis.....ViSalus

We on the same page!!! Visalus is a big thumbs down!!

have somebody do that 90 day 20 pounds of muscle challenge with before/after pics as well as before/after hormone panel by the same doctor at the same time during the day....then i will believe it.

as far as the 90 day losing weight challenge, anybody can drink a protein shake in place of a meal and lose weight. whats so special about ViSalus?
