That's awsome things are going back to normal. Has anyone noticed that since getting the varicocele they're colder than usual? In the fingers and toes especially.

Has anyone who has had the treatment noticed a coldness in the scrotum and also the penis?
I was diagnosed with a stage II the other day. My left nut is slightly smaller than my right. Sometimes it feels full and large when my sack is tight, but othertimes I have some major BAT WING and its softer and smaller than my full/hard right one.
My testosterone level is 400's and I'm only 20. I did come off of a very short superdrol cycle 40 days ago that only lasted 8 days, therefore I believe these low test levels are in relation to my stage II.
I have NO pain and my sex drive is fine.
I do however believe I will precede with a surgery because I dont want this bothering me later in life and causing any more shrinkage.
Is it necessary to have clomid/hcg after surgery to return the testicle or will it come back normally?
I'm getting for the 3 reasons you listed... I want to get with different women and I feel the need to explain why my ball sack looks like it has down syndrome to them, which is realllyyyyyyy annoying... My sex drive is pretty low and I don't gain much muscle, also I have shrinkage and my veins have tangled a few times/ often cause discomfort/ pain... So surgery is a pretty apparent option >.<..
Different people get the surgery for different reasons, most get it for sperm quality cause they're infertile. I personally could care less about having a kid. It will solve your problem fixing the left one for the shrinkage on both testicles if your varicocele problem is only associated with the left-side, to my knowledge. Getting the veins removed/ ligated will remove all the future problems and any symptoms if it's done correctly.
Hey monster,
400's for T level is not low at all. It's not necessary to have clomid for testicle size to slightly enlarge.. Clomid from what I've read on this thread so far is more for the guys in their 30's. Luckily for us we're still young enough to where our testicle should gain some size back. Since your Varicocele is only a stage II surgery won't really help with much (for gaining) but is definitely a GREAT idea for preventing further damage down the road and possible infertility.. As a new comer to weight-lifting, how long you been lifting >.<? You're pretty big
, I'm assuming you played football?

Did any of you that had surgery noticed that the varicocel veins are harder (stiff) and a have a little pain when touching/squeezing them?
wat do u mean "It will solve your problem fixing the left one for the shrinkage on both testicles if your varicocele problem is only associated with the left-side, to my knowledge. "??
ur saying fixing a left varicocele will fix BOTH of my testes shrinking? the doctors told me its not possible a left varicocele can cause both shrinking and the hardening...
im not trying to get a varcicocele surgery, then realize after that the hardness is still there...i just have to pray my testes dont get smaller and smaller ... for some reason I dont like it when my nuts hang low cuz it looks smaller than when its tight...kinda funny
Well my delima is I'm trying to decide if my test is only 400 because I haven't recovered from the cycle which was a while back or is it because my varicocele is preventing me from having a normal test level for my age.
Im leaning towards the varicocele because I believe this 400 level is my baseline considering I feel the same as before the cycle.
400 is very low for 20 years old. 20 year old males should be around 700-800. My father is 58 and was prescribed trt for 466 total test levels.
I've been working out for about two years. I was actually in the marching band not the football team haha...but everyone assumes I played football now haha.
So what is the difference between a stage 1, 2, and 3. I mean mine doesn't bring any pain, its not very noticeable, but you can feel it for sure. My left testicle is softer/smaller than my right but I don't know if its shrunk or if its always been this size. I never paid attention until learning about varicocele. Can a stage 2 induce lower testosterone levels or does it require pain/swelling of a stage 3 to accompany lower test levels.

I had varicocele surgery 3 months ago. I wish I had it done a long time ago. There was lots of pre surgery testing, (blood tests, semen analysis, ultra sound), but the actual surgery went very smooth & professional. I was sore for awhile after the surgery but I barely even needed the percosets the doc gave me. I found the whole hospital experience kinda cool & interesting, and the nurses really pampered me as I was recovering.
Anyone who has a variocele should have it removed, and if your urologist tells you "dont worry about it" find another doc. Variocele will cause progressive damage to the testicle over time. My T levels are in the normal range, but my sperm counts are very low, I'm hoping this will fix it. But I waited too many years before addressing this issue and I hope I don't regret it.
Also, now that I have healed, the soreness & pain in my testicle that I used to have caused by the varicocele (presurgery) is no longer, even though my doc said he couldn't guarantee it would go away.

Congrats on the major success.. How old are you? How long ago did you have the surgery done? Did you have ED issues before the surgery? How was your libido pre/post surgery? andddd How bad was your Varicocele (stage)?
Thanks in advance and thanks for the story :]

another few questions adding to the previous guy
was it painful before the surgery, and if so what kind of pain was it?
also where did you get it done and if you know how much it cost?
The problem with a varicocele is that it somehow throws off more than just testosterone. It seems to throw other hormones out of wack as well. I have been having a hell of a time trying to get my hormones dialed-in.
I think there is a misconception about testosterone levels. The sweet spot is not the same for all people. The sweet spot is the range that is in "perfect balance" with the other hormones. Higher testosterone doesn't necessarily mean higher libido and stronger erections. In fact, sometimes higher testosterone can result is the opposite. It all depends on the individual.
My varicocele problem has really screwed me up sexually. I have had ED on and off since I was 18 and I am 35 now. I am not sure what to do at this point. I am so sick of living this way. HRT does not necessarily solve this issue. There seems to be more to it than just low testosterone.
Has anyone on this board ever overcome ED related to a varicocele? I would give anything to be normal again.
fathom777,
varicoceles is not related to libido, erection etc., i have bilateral varicoceles and testicles have shrunk. But My erections are rock hard and have good libido.
Try pranic healing if you have libido problems or softer erections.
Ever wonder how those pornstars grab their balls in their fists and shove them in some bitches mouth? this is impossible with varicocele. you'll kill yourself!
but if you stand on your head, you'll be able to do it momentarily when you stand up, rofl. my life is now complete.
I don't understand why I got a varicocele. it doesn't make any sense. if it affects T in any way, i'm gonna be raging pissed. i wont get surgury for it though as I feel it's unnatural. it came from natural causes so i shouldn't get rid of it, especially since there are no natural remedies

ok well why your at it don't get your wisdom teeth removed and let them f*ck up your entire mouth if they grown forward and impacted.
I'm definitely getting surgery if my next testosterone check comes back below 500. I also have no pain, and my varicocele isn't very noticable. However the the doc said it was a stage II. I know I'm not going to live my life out the next 60+ years worrying about my testosterone being lowering than its potential.
Funny that you mentioned it. I was getting my teeth checked, and they said my wisdom teeth are coming. They assumed I wanted them out. They didn't even ask me if I wanted them out. They rushed me through and scheduled an appointment.
Now I'm thinking to myself that it's all a marketing scheme. After all, they didn't even ASK if I wanted them removed. They didn't even TELL ME what would happen if I didn't. It was like clockwork for them. They suddenly turned from dentists into salesmen. "This guy has wisdom teeth, lets charge him $600."
Imagine how much money dentists make from wisdom teeth.
Maybe I'm wrong, but did God (or whatever made us if using this word makes you mad) create us so we HAD to rip out our own teeth? If I had the choice to be uncircumcised, I would. But I have the choice with my teeth and I'm happy.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I prefer to think for myself! "It's a bug-eat-bug world out there!"
As far as I can tell, the varicocele comes naturally, so I want a natural solution to the problem. I don't want them cutting into my nuts unless it's life threatening. Being naturally thin, I had low testosterone levels. Now that I'm bigger I have higher testosterone levels. I fixed that problem through natural treatment (food, exercise, and sleep) and was hoping there would be a natural treatment for varicocele, IF IT AFFECTS T.
Otherwise, I'll let nature take its course. Some of us are meant to have lower testosterone I guess. Life isn't fair.
My varicocele is pretty big imo, and it only sometimes causes a little discomfort on the left side of my stomach. When I'm driving I kinda need to have one hand bracing my stomach as it feels like I have a little blue balls. But it only gives me discomfort while I think about it. I asked a doctor friend if it affects testosterone and he said he's not sure. He asked me if it gives me discomfort, and I told him "it only gives me discomfort when I worry that it's lowering my testosterone!"
Also, how can you be sure that the varicocele is causing low testosterone and not something else? I think I have high testosterone (just by energy and frequent erections), but when I heard about varicocele I was thinking if I could have EVEN HIGHER test. Ever since I was the little holocaust-survivor looking kid I have been obsessed with upping and upping my T :burnout:

Yeah a Varicocele definitely does not increase testosterone levels.. Also T level doesnt help the holocaust-survivor look unless you're pumping some iron and eating a lot.. haha
Higher energy levels and stronger ewrections -> Does it mean high testosterone?
It can mean you have an adequite amount of testosterone.. doesn't necessarily mean it's a high level -_-.. You can still have the two you mentioned with lower testosterone >.<.. depends on the individual. Not sure how this correlates with what you quoted me on for the reply =o?
If high energy levels and strong erections = low testosterone or high testosterone
then
what are the symptoms of low testosterone

But you mentioned that
You can still have the two you mentioned with lower testosterone
the two - high energy levels and strong erections.
If we have these two then a person cannot have low testosterone.Right?
Confusion - I thought a varicocele was a "mass"/Bag of Worms. Meaning multiple veins? I just feel each spermatic chord and one just seems alot longer and more bunched up.
