USP Modern Protein

Yep. I definitely like it better than Pes Select.

Agreed. The oxyelite ran circles around Select taste wise. I also might be the only one not wild about how select tastes. The chocolate is very sub par IMO and C&C is very average as well. The new blondie was pretty good though I did enjoy that a good bit

Chocolate for PES is like Hershey chocolate the USP was like Devils food cake both were different and both were very good

This.

I have 3 chocolates right now that all taste extremely different. Good in their own ways

Maybe I'm the only one. I thought select chocolate was pretty lacking compared to most. I wasn't thrulled the oxyelite chocolate either but the vanilla, banana, and strawberry were out of this world

I like the Chocolate select the best. However, Select is too expensive for just a little bit of protein. With OxyElite protein you get just as good or better protein and you get more of it for your money.

leucine peptides account for a lot In the protein

Id take 1 scoop select to be equivalent to 1.5-2 scoops any protein based on leucine content alone

^^^ That... Select is the real deal and also goes over its protein content when 3rd party tested. Your getting the exact amount of protein per scoop as stated on the label. bdcc, LiveToLift, kbayne, breezy11 may be able to explain it to a better degree
Select is no way selling you a "Little" bit of protein.

OxyElite Protein is just as good for less money. As for the bold part above, the same goes for OxyElite Protein.

^ I love both

But before this turns into any kind of brand war lets remember this is a USP thread :)

I am excited to see how these new ones taste, and if the old flavours will return

Thats because Oxy elite right now is on DC hence the cheaper price
Select was had for 20$ a tub, just like oxy Elite when it was released
same price.

You won't see USPLabs Modern Protein at the price OxyElite is at.

Like Bob said above, it's been that price because they're trying to get rid of stock as its being reformulated/going through new name change.

But I do enjoy the OxyElite flavors as well, so don't get it twisted lol.

I see OEP and Select as being similar but different. Both are top notch blends. Select is really just a lean protein with high leucine content. It is probably the lowest calorie blend you will find with quality protein and no fat or carbs really.

OEP is also a top notch protein, with added MCTs, Fiber, and (thus) calories. For what you get, the calorie profile is good, but not as "tight" as Select.

I have tried a 55 serving can of Select C&C and loved it. It might be a little sweet for some, but I mix it in water most of the time and it was great flavor and texture-wise. I just got OEP Strawberry Cheesecake (my first try at OEP) and it is good, with a slightly similar texture and good flavor. Again, both of these are in water for me, and they taste really good...but even if they tasted bad I would probably still use them.

I'm cutting and I liked Select for this reason - it is low calorie/gram of protein. On the other hand, MCTs have a leaning effect and fiber can help make you feel more full on a strict diet. So both proteins can be used for the same goal - they just attack the problem from a slightly different angle.

Again, both are high quality products and I would use either.

For me, price has been the real factor over what I buy. I buy what's on sale. I got a ton of the VPX whey on sale a few months ago, and I'm finishing that up. I bought a tub of the Strawberry OEP for a change and then saw the Banana on sale for $15/can - so I bought 5 cans of that. Select is a little pricey, but if you get the 55 serving container under $50 it is only $10 more than 4 pounds of OEP ....so it's not a huge difference on the price.

Hit4ME, Anyone ever tell you that you're long-winded?

LMAO, you know it's a funny story....if you have a minute I'll tell you about it....

This was on a photo of Modern Protein touting "no amino spiking," Why I don't want even attempt to argue with people on Facebook...

Modern Prozac ;) lol

Think we may have rushed to judgement on that one-

The genuine OEP has not been manufactured since October 2013. OEP has always been labeled with a three year expiration date. The last lot manufactured had an expiration date of 10/16. The counterfeit product expiration date of 04/17 is therefore obviously fraudulent.

The genuine OEP, made in capsules, uniformly had lot numbers beginning with the numeral "4". The counterfeit product lot number of 216732 is therefore obviously fraudulent. The Company has verified that no OEP product (or other Company product) has ever had the lot number of 216732.

Chocolate has changed. Strawberry is better. These are my beliefs. Banana is down the road.

Never did try the Chocolate. The Banana and Strawberry Cheesecake were very good though!

OxyElite protein- Vanilla- the best vanilla you will ever taste, Banana second best, and chocolate third best. Never tried the Strawberry or Cookies & Cream.

Not a banana fan so I never ran it. Definitely agree the vanilla is/was the best out there. Chocolate was very solid as well.

ETA on release?

How was the CnC?

Good
had a nice bunch of chocolate cookie pieces in it.
Banana/Strawberry were the best IMO (possibly 2 of the best fruit flavors on the market)
then chocolate (Devil's Food Cake resemblance)
then CnC/Vanilla

I've never had a strawberry that I've really liked so may search for a place that still has it and can ship I CAN for a reasonable price.

Where you been the last few months? It was for 19.99 for quite sometime before it sold out at nutra.

saw it but would cost like $24 to ship to Canada + the crappy dollar conversion would be pushing $50 for a tub...

Oh, gotcha.

There are a couple good options for Canadians to but it last I checked, but mot at Nutra's blowout price

I grabbed 3 tubs of the old banana yesterday - 6lbs for $45 is a great deal

I did the same this morning. Too good a deal to pass up.

Actually I arrived today. I apparently ordered 4 not 3.....I guess what happens when you get online after taking ambien. Ha

lol.

I am the opposite, I often make impulse purchases from my phone within 2 hours of my pre workout dosage. Everything seems like such a good idea at the time lol.

All this talk of banana had me tempted. I have never tried a banana I really liked. I didn't even realise OEP had a banana flavour.

So, I went to a handful of UK retailers and none of them carried it lol. It was chocolate or vanilla only.

Hey, I'd rather find out later that I order too many tubs than not enough!

lol.

My favorite was always chocolate but of the banana protein powders that I have had, OxyELITE Protein was easily the best. Nailed it with a strong banana flavor yet not gross.

I just got my order of OEP Banana yesterday too. I bought my first tub of Strawberry about 2 weeks ago and I'm on a PSMF so I've been mixing with water. The Strawberry was good, not great - I suspect it would be REALLY delicious in milk though. I tried the banana yesterday and even in water it was REALLY good. Strong banana taste, but almost tastes like banana chips to me. It reminded me of Mega Mass 2000 banana that I got a 10 pound bag of in high school 20 years ago - which is impressive because it obviously doesn't have the carbs/fat that Mega Mass had and it was still better tasting.
