Using All The Whey supps on the Velocity Diet

Alt+F4

Back in the gym after 6 months of being a *****
Soooo...not sure how kosher a question this is, but here goes:

I've long been a customer of ATW. I think they're the best-priced, best-tasting whey protein in the game. However, I also enjoy the articles on T-Nation, even though most read like Biotest ads.

That said, I'm going to do the V-Diet for the second time starting in a few weeks. I'm trying to avoid using Biotest supps, since (a) I don't have $356,325 I'd need for the four-week diet for my wife and I, and (b) I want to continue patronizing a company that has done me well for years (ATW). My struggle tonight is trying to compare the Biotest stuff to something ATW sells.

The primary foodsource on the V-Diet is Invalid Link Removed. Made up of a protein blend (whey-protein isolate (milk), micellar casein (milk), milk-protein concentrate), I don't really see anything on the ATW site that would mimic it.

I do, however, see some of the ingredients. What does AM think about mixing equal parts ATW Opti-Blend (which mimics Drive, except it does not contain any casein) and ATW MPI? Or maybe Calcium Caseinate? I'm just not sure. I can do the math and get to the same macronutrients as Drive, but I want to make sure the protein profiles are similar, as it sounds like the casein leads to a fuller feeling, which is welcome with this diet.

So hopefully this isn't stepping on toes, and thanks for your responses.

What if our Lean and Fit was made with MC added to it? Would that work for the V-diet? In our production meeting I brought up adding MC to our lean and fit after reading this thread.

I suppose it would - seems like the macros are similar between the two products, so replacing a bit of whey with the MC would lead to a slower release time, and perhaps a bit of a fuller feeling between shakes. What was the response you got in the meeting?

I ran the V-diet the first time using ATW supps w/ good success. I just mixed their MC & WPI. But it got to be a pain messing with two tubs for a month & I had to pre-blend all my shakes in the AM. Plus the limited flavors of MC got monotonous.

I've never tried Lean & Fit, but that looks like an excellent product for the V-diet IF casein was added to the protein profile. You definitely need it to keep you satiated.

Its a go we are now adding MC to the Lean and Fit meal replacer. We are in the process of relabeling the L & F.

Aweeeeeeeeesome! I love having a protein blend of whey & casein. Now if you guys would just make it in CinnamonBun...hint hint...

That's fantastic. Can you keep me posted on when that will be available? Are you planning on just posting it on the site when it's done? Any ETA?

Thanks Marcus. :head: ATW!

I actually asked Marc about this yesterday via email...here was his response:

"Yes the Lean and Fit has MC in it now :) The website is not updated yet but the labels on the Jars are updated."
