Upper body and shoulders

This may be incorrect and may sound somewhat a stupid question but is there a way to grow the upper body to increase strength any hypertrophy?

I.e. my upper body is smaller than my legs because I have always played a lot of ball sports I.e. soccer and cricket etc but now I'm pushing to try and get a spot in regionals, my legs are much stronger and are better conditioned than my upper body.

How can I make my upper body bigger to increase weight moved above shoulders?

Look at the crossfit guys like froning, khalipa, Olsen and Smith... they all have big upper bodies and are in proportion.

I back squat over 400lbs and deadline over 500lbs but can only over head press 100.

Help? Or am I barking up the wrong tree?
 
Dang thats crazy. I'm kind of the opposite. I'm an upper body guy. it's all on the training. You just might have to say okay to even out everything since my upper body is behind im going to train only lower body once a week or once every two weeks and hit upper body two or even three times a week.
 
Not barking up the wrong tree. What are you doing now to train your overhead?

It's really the same way you'd get your squats and deadlifts up. Progressive overload. Varying intensity and volume. Train your pressers and your upper back. Improve technique.
