Undershirts too short

Alright, I'm sure other people have run into the same problem. No matter what brand I buy it seems that the only way undershirts shrink is freaking up. So they get shorter and shorter. Well here is the deal. I need to find undershirts that will fit my chest size, but also be long enough to wear under dress shirts without riding up. Because the ones I currently have come up above my belt line after an hour or two. And the next size up is too baggy and will bulge around my stomach making me look like I have a gut, when I have none at all. Anyone find a solution to this problem yet?

Yes, when I wear undershirts that fit snugly, they tend to ride up, especially when im bulking and have a few lbs on me.

I've found a partial solution: A-shirts (or wifebeaters). They tend to be VERY long. The only problem is that when you have a big chest, if you wear one that is sort of snug, it can cut into your pecs a bit. But these shirts tend to be stretchy and even larger ones seem to fit form-fittingly. I also don't care for how they look when you have a outer shirt that is somewhat see-through.

Look for shirts that are XL-T for tall. Some places have them. Either that or DONT DRY your shirts. Let them hang, or lay flat to dry. Everything I own is shrunk down to where I cant scratch my chin without my shirt riding up. XXL are too...Pirates of Penzance, so I go with XL (no dry) or XL-T if I can find them.

I agree with what he said, the only luck I've had is letting them air dry even if they say that they are pre-shrunk. This really sucks in the winter when I can't hang stuff outside and have to hang clothes I don't want to shrink on chairs and furniture. It's a nice "trailer park: post tornado" look.

I can only buy single tshirts for like 6 bucks each. They are always dried, yet they remain long enough. I stay away from the packaged ones. They suck. And always 1 size bigger.

Yeah, jmh80 my new job is design work in an office and occasional trips to customer sites. A little different than my previous job in a manufacturing facility. So I'm forced to wear dress shirts and slacks. Go figure.

Dr P, I'm gonna search for undershirts with the add -T on them and see what I can find. But I think come spring/summer I'll switch to beaters like Animal suggested.

Thanks guys.
