Well my idea is heaps cooler. Same concept but....
...Gather up a household full of the skinniest geeks you can find, and make them put on muscle! Have weekly weigh-in's and BF tests - most lean mass gain in 16 weeks wins something.
Pumping iron, downing food, pumping iron, crying for mummy - getting the test levels up, butting heads etc etc.
