And I'm toast. What sucks now is I gotta work today. Be out walking the woods taking samples oh joy!!

Well on your way to those goals you posted! Nice job!

Huge PRs Brian. Nice work.

Wow man! Great PR. I think I am at your starting set :)

Sheesh!! STRONG work Brian!!!

Got in a little chest workout today. Body is still fried from yesterday's session(and working all day and mowing the grass when I got home). CNS was just shot...

Incline bench press
135 x 10
135 x 10
135 x 10
185 x 10
185 x 10
205 x 10
205 x 10
225 x 8
225 x 8

And I just quit there. Chest felt fine but my back, legs, neck, we're just shot. My leg session yesterday just really zapped me. Hope I have a chest day like it soon!

Killer leg sesh then a strong bench?!? Awesome job, Turff!

What's the hs stand for

Hammer Strength.

OHPing a car and shrugging a house! Beast! SMHS

Woah! Crazy ohp numbers! Great job!

Great workouts, you are killing it in here.

Been awol a few days. Had to drive up and see my mom. At least she looks content and isn't any pain.she seemed perked up too! By the time her breaks heal not sure she will be able to walk. May not even remember how to walk. I'm content knowing she's in good medical hands and that's all Ivan ask for.

So, haven't worked out since Wednesday due to travels, work, and spending time at the nursing home. Back at it tomorrow and then have to spend all week in Florida for work.

That's good your Mom is in good spirits and good hands! Glad you were able to go see her too!

This!

What part of Florida?

Heading to Bradenton tomorrow. Have an inspection in Bradenton and North Lakeland on Tuesday, then 2 locations in Sarasota on Wednesday, and then 2 locations in Tampa on Thursday. Drive back home Friday.

Pfft. Nowhere close.

Got a chest workout in after work today. Work consisted of carrying these for about 100 yards:Invalid Link Removed
Each weighs about 70lbs. I told the guys I'd carry them and they put the fence up. Had 22 of them so I made 11 trips doing a farmers walk lol.

Then chest when I got home:

Incline DB press
60 x 20
60 x 20
70 x 20
80 x 12
80 x 12
80 x 11
80 x 10
80 x 10
80 x 10

And thought I'd try doing 100 skull crushers and I got them but broke them up into 4 sets with minimal rest. They really hurt
70 x 25
70 x 25
70 x 25
70 x 25
Rest between sets was 30, 60, 60, and 90
Chest and tri's are fried though. My conditioning seems to have taken a hit, or I'm just getting older...lol

Nice work man. Great on the farmers, too.

Functional strength FTW.

Very impressive farmers!! Surprised your arms weren't shot after that!!

An 11hr drive today(counting pit stops) drank a large volume of BCAA's today(2 gallons). Made the trip so much easier, relaxing, and never even yawned. Hotel room workout in the morning!!! lol

Got my "hotel" workout in. Not a whole lot but something anyway.
Went something like this:

Push-ups
BW x 50
(40 second rest)
BW x 50
(45 second rest)
BW x 43
(55 second rest)
BW x 40
(60 second rest)
BW x 36
(60 second rest)
BW x 30 body completely shaking on last rep...

Crunches
50
40
50
40
20
45 second rest between each set

30 minutes on the bike

All honesty I surprised myself. Hadn't done push-ups in forever! Good change of pace workout...

Nice job on the Pu's. They're different, for sure.

BCAAs keep you awake?

I wouldn't say they keep me awake but they do help keep me focused and satisfied on such a long haul.
On the push-ups, don't think I've done that many since I got out of the military, 20 years ago...lol

That's a lot of push ups!! Great job!!

Good to hear about your Mother!

Awesome work on those push ups!!!! Not only is that a ton but the work density was huge with those short rest periods. My push ups drop off fast after my first set to failure. Although I am assuming 50 was not failure on your first set either. Yet i think my 2nd set would have dropped to about 30-35 in the short rest period you had. VERY IMPRESSIVE!

Got home last night at 11pm. Dang that's a long drive! Up and at the gym at 6am. Granted, I wasn't feeling too strong this morning.

Back day:
Medium grip pull downs
100 x 15
120 x 10
130 x 10
150 x 10
170 x 10
190 x 10

HS ISO lateral rows outer grip
200 x 10 x 2
250 x 10 x 2
290 x 10 x 2
340 x 10 - inner grip

One arm DB rows
80 x 10
100 x 10
120 x 10
130 x 10

Shrugs
200 x 10
290 x 10
380 x 10

Called it a day. Now to get my eating back on the right track and schedule.

My push-ups incorporate a lot of triceps. Plus the key to a good push-up is keeping the core muscles tight. No, 50 on first set wasn't failure. I'm probably good for about 75-80 on a first set if I do a couple sets x 10 to warm up. The latter sets were to failure. That last set was past failure where every muscle is incorporated to get one more rep. I also remembered why I don't do push-ups very often, my left elbow always feels it for a few days...

Yeah, it is always my left elbow too. I am thinking of trying Tumeric as an anti inflammatory. It sucks not having the option for NSAIDS. I wouldn't be hurting at all if I could control some inflammation. Once I get my blood work I may do a week of 2400mg ibuprofen if still acting up. Plus I have intentions of hitting some peptides and maybe even low dose nandrolone to give some relief.
