Tuna Patties

Moyer

board observer
1 can Tuna
1/2 cup Oats
2 Egg Whites

Mix it up with your hands, form into patties, put 'em on a Forman grill or nonstick skillet. Add some spices if you want, low fat cheese, mayo, ketchup, whatever. I like to eat them with 1/2 cup baked beans and some green veggies, which combines to make a good meal: 450/50/50/5. If you want more fat you can add a little olive oil to the mix before cooking. I usually make double batches because they're just as good reheated.

Good recipe, Moyer. I used to do something like this, but I used bread crumbs. Oatmeal should be healthier.

Yeah, my mom used to make these when I was little but she used crackers. Oats work surprisingly well. Tuna patties are rediculously cheap too, so they've become a new staple for me.

Take out the eggs, put some worchestshire (sp?) and ff mayo in it and they stay alot longer, you can make a bunch and they keep in the fridge for a week or so.

I am DEFINITELY going to give that a try sounds good.

I used to do just an egg, tuna and relish. It 'hardens' up suprisingly well and tastes great if you like relish :)

Going to try this one tonight thanks for the recipe. Always looking for a better way to choke down the tuna.

Yeah going to try the onion thing and other stuff for flavor. Didn't use much spices and it was bland as hell. But will keep eating them like this thanks Moyer

This sounds delicious and healthy...usually two words that don't correlate very well, lol.

Then again i have an abnormal obsession with tuna.

I'll have to try this this week...thanks bro

I might try this recipe with Salmon because I love me some Salmon Patties. I'm not really one for canned tuna. I like tuna steaks, but can't bring myself to eat canned tuna. Canned Salmon on the other hand. :burger::food:
