The horror
At the beginning of your HCG theraphy, your testis were totally atropied due to long time on test alone.
Describe timeline of size of your testicles after you started HCG.
I would guess, the size comes back relatively quickly, but for actual production, well, you waited 4 months.
In retrospect, when you have started HCG, you shoud have stayed on it without interuptions.
Also, I think you should not have dropped testosterone shots for another about 3 months, and then tapper it down within month or two.
Plus those huge HCG doses were (probably) redundant, 3000-4000iu/week would have done about same job, time is required to heal/revive testis.
Have you ever asked doc about, how typical is your response?
.
I felt OK within the first 10 days on HCG and my testicle size started to come back. My doctor had not seen or tested me yet. He wanted me to reestablish baseline levels before our first draw and exam. The test results took about two weeks, so I had been off of everything for a while when I saw him. I couldn't believe that my TT was only 97. I told him that I had been thinking about and having sex regularly. He explained that hormones in the brain accounted for that. He went into more detail, but it's difficult for me to recount - my cognitive function was extremely low.
He was not sure if I would be a responder to HCG, and had expected much more from the labs. I was asked if I would give it another try, and administered a testosterone shot because I felt so poorly. He explained that I had osteopedia, and that my blood profile put me at a high cardiac risk. I was told that if HCG didn't work for me he would need to add testosterone. He also offered me test boosters if at any time I felt the need. I started therapy and never looked back. Within two weeks my testicles were fuller and my brain was sharp. My libido returned to a place I had forgotten many years ago. My lifts in the gym were crazy - I gained a lot of size in my chest and arms.
The plan was to reduce the dose sooner than we did. He kept moving the goal posts, and by the time we started to lower the dose 10 months had passed. I had been reading and responding to Dr. John posts. I was very worried about the condition of my leydig cells and decided to stop therapy completely and pursue a more natural path. My doctor wasn't happy with my decision, or my lack of faith in his judgment but acquiesced nevertheless. He asked me to limit the trial to one year. We had completely reversed osteopedia, and I have serious precondition in my back. I made this promise: If I couldn't achieve and maintain a free test level of 150 within a year I would go back on HCG. At one point I was able to achieve FT of 131 - it never went higher, nor was I able to maintain it.
