couple questions for you guys.
I did a 4gm conversion. came out light gold (very pretty). there is no cloudiness but there is a swirling effect in the bottle. Is that the BA moving through the oil?
also, although the kit uses BA and pharm. grade oil, the whole process seemed less than aseptic. Should I do any aditional filtering or heating to sterilize my product?

You say the process seemed less than aseptic what do you mean.

You just crush the pellets
Put them in the BA/BB
Filter with coffee filter
Combine with oil
Run through a syringe filter
Done


'scientists' and med students say that you do need to heat and just as many say no you do not need to.
 
he was trying to say sterile but aseptic techniques are what are used in a lab to keep the samples from being contaminated

Thats exactly what I was trying to say. I worked in a microbio lab for a few months and this process just made me a bit nervous. my freind was just treated for an abcess as well which added to my paranoia.
So, the BA and the whatman keep the product sterile...?

I knew what he meant but I wanted to know what part of the process he thought was less than sterile.
