Yes, you could. It depends on what training you were doing, and whether or not you were training appropriately for your goals and needs, as well as having your nutrition sorted for them. Remember that more is not always better when it comes to training, and I have seen gains doing resistance training only 2-3 times a week, as well as doing it 4-5 times a week - depends on the phase you are in and what you are trying to achieve, as well as what other training you are doing as well.
I personally am lucky to hit every body part once every 6-7 days. I usually train only 4 days a week and I am actually seeing greater gains doing this. This is my current split and easily the best move I've made in a while concerning my physique:
Day 1: Chest/tris
Day 2: off
Day 3: Back/shoulders/bis
Day 4: off
Day 5: Arms
Day 6: Legs/calves
Day 7: off
- I only do 1 exercise of bis or tris following back or chest and only back/shoulders day runs over an hour. I once met a really decent sized 40 year old that only lifted 1-2 days a week only on the weekend!
