Sldl in the rack up to 335x3 then stepped over the bar into a hack squat kinda pull for 335x5,5,5
Pull down
Cable row
DB curls
Machine preacher curls.

I wrote it all down on a piece of paper so I don't have a screenshot to post I don't think anyone really cares too much about the numbers anyways.

Has anyone heard the John Hanson interview on think Big body building. For those of you who don't know John was the natural Mr universe or something like that. And he talks about how he used steroids for the 12 weeks leading up to a show and he did that several times and it wasn't enough to compete with the enhanced guys so he stopped using here all together after that and then won the naturals. Basically he said naturally he got up to about 230 lb at 5 ft 8 but that was a off season puffy look and then he would run a cycle for 12 weeks while cutting down to about 200 lb to compete. He actually talks a lot about steroid cycles that were being used in that time I just thought it was interesting to hear the guy who was the natural Mr universe or whatever talking about steroids

I just saw that one this week while I was doing cardio. It's weird how back I'm the day the guys stayed away from test and now if someone runs a cycle without a test base we crush them for it

Things to make note of. I feel just as strong as whin I was on cycle which ended about 8 weeks ago. But only strong like that on low rep compound movements. I noticed my strength has dipped a bit on more isolation type moves and my ability to keep up my strength set after sat is fading as well. I'm not going to weight myself till next week on Sunday and will weight in every Sunday. Can do updates weekly for progress pictures. Although those won't look like progress after a while. Knowing how this has gone in the past, il keep looking better and better till I hit about 190 and then I will start looking flatter and smaller week by week

Ppl didn't run test before because they didn't know better, they also didn't have anti estrogens and serms back then so if they ran test and had side effects they were screwed. If you got gyno in the 60's or 70's your career was pretty much over or you just had to compete with the gyno tits for the rest of your career.

But I'm not against cycles without testosterone. Down the road at some point il probably experiment with some of them. But I know a few guys who do deca only or deca/anadrol, deca/dbol, masteron or primo/dbol, EQ only and so on. Most of them are older guys. I even know a guy who runs tren only, he was at the gym today actually and on tren only at the moment.

I'm not about constantly running cycles without testosterone but I have no issues toying around.

You might find out that 1000mg EQ only cycles is your bread and butter. You won't know till you try it.

We just know as a whole that the large majority of people will do better with testosterone as the main component of the cycle

Today the common approach is run as much test as you can handle without a ai, add mast or primo and see how much higher you can push it up and then add a 3rd compound if necessary.

Or some guys also like to find the minimum effective doses for lots of different things and stack them. Like 300 test, 300 primo, 300npp

I'm inthe school of taking the test as high as yiu can without an a.i. and then bring in the mast and/or primo but a few cycles down the road I want to do one that the base us a gram of test a week. I just want to see what that feels like. 1 gram test/ 600 eq/ with some mast or primo. I want to see how it feels to be a Nordic God in the gym lol

Sooooooo...... Holy ****, I just watched a bunch of high def footage and pictures from the Olympia.

Ramy was the worst he been in years, abs were washed out, triceps were small, back looks atrophied like you had some muscle loss, just off all around, didn't even deserve 5th.

Derrick Lunsford could have arguably won the Olympia but him or hadi was a acceptable winner. Seems like they were favoring the shorter guys in general this year for some reason.

I also thought Andrew Jacked should have placed much higher.

O well that's that.

Collision course 30min pre

Aminos+ pull workout

Shake with milk

Turkey and rice

Pork tenderloin with rice

Sausage and pepper on a chabata roll

Ice cream made from a protein shake and frozen bananas in a blender.

212 protein 3020 calories.

I went a little over today. I'm gonna add in a extra 20-30min at the boxing gym tomorrow or il subtract 200 cal from tomorrow's food.

Derek abd hadi were in superior condition which I think is what the judges want to get back to. I saw some of Derek's training videos the last few weeks and he looked insane!! I think it's hilarious that Chad Nicholls and Dennis James said Ramy was gonna rival 2003 Ronnie Coleman lol

I think they knew he was off and we're just trying to keep the hype train running as long as possible

I think we're entering a new era of BBers for open, Ramy is sort of the last of the old guard. Nick, Hadi, Derek, all probably going to be threats for a while now.

I was surprised how Bonac showed up (or didn't I should say).

It doesn't really make sense tho. Yes there's new era of up-and-coming guys but there's always new upping coming guys in big groups but usually when there's a new era they're going for a new look and it doesn't appear that they're going for a new look because Nick Walker hadi and Derek all have mass like Ramy, it's just on a shorter frame so they're going for that same look of being absolutely maxed out on muscle mass. Now if they wend with a very aesthetic guy who was pure symmetry and not overly muscled then I'd say we're going to a new era, but hadi and Derrick have had there pro cards for 5-6 years.

If anything, Ramy was the beginning of the new era, maxed out muscle mass. As much muscle as possible. Nick, Derrick and hadi are mass monsters on shorter frames

By the way, hadi is maxed out on size, Nick is probably close to maxed out but Derrick seems to still have room to grow somehow.

I also wouldn't be surprised if Nick has another year or 2 before he burns out. The guys who come up slowly seem to last but the guys who grow rapidly for extended periods seem to max out and go stale quicker.

And it looks like I'm going to the gym today to do legs again? Got a text at 7am. Come train legs with us. Wants me to do some mobility stuff for legs and shoulders and some light leg training and then when they really get into there workout I'm gonna finish off with 30min on cardio equipment?

Idk whatever lol il just go and see what's up

Well, we did some mobility stuff and then light legs and shoulders all superset with almost no rest and some abs and 30min cardio on machines. Basically he tricked me into do a hour of cardio disguised as weight training lol

Sounds like he has your number. LOL I am sure the mobility stuff will help with getting you squatting again though.

I texted him last night to say I went over 220 cal on the day and I'd cut back some calories tomorrow. Seems like his solution was to do this and eat normal.

I'm burning through my fridge meat which is higher fat and calories stuff. Once this is gone il be back to mostly chicken breast and that will knock off a significant amount of calories for me

That interview with Hanson was good. No big surprises there, but an enjoyable listen for sure.
I'm listening to it right now, I only got halfway through yesterday and I'm listening to the rest now while I'm sitting at a poker tournament lol.

Packed a bag with grilled chicken wraps and a protein shake in case it takes a long time 😂😆😂

Getting ready for my second workout (boxing) I wasn't paying attention and ate meal 3 at 3:00 and boxing is at 4 so hopefully I won't puke it up. As far as I know I'm not sparring or anything, just cardio via drills and heavy bag work

Hopefully the session is going well and you aren't barfing in a trash can right now. :)

Dude I've been living with my parents scince my wife died and I'm gonna be out by March and the one thing I'm looking forward to is nit opening the fridge and being tempted and slipping up, I mean my step mom eats really clean for the most part but she is one of those people that can have sweets or whatever in the fridge for a month and just eat one every once in a while. That's not me so it'll be nice being in my own place so when I do another contest prep next year there won't be any temptations anywhere

Went really good, I did 3 rounds of shadow boxing, 2 rounds on the heavy bag at about a 50% pace then 3 rounds of half ass sparing and 2 or 3 more rounds on the bag. Nothing was super intense but it was pretty steady from start to finish. Enough to sweat through my shirt but not soaked to my drawers. Eventually il be doing 2 hours at whatever my max effort ability is. Still a long way to go and I'm not looking forward to it.

Honestly, I know I haven't been putting in the effort like I was in the spring/summer but it just seems harder this time around. I really just hate cardio I guess and the drive isint there as much as before. "I'm specifically talking about the boxing and cardio needed for it".

I'm gonna ride out this 8 week cut regardless, but if the boxing dosent start getting more enjoyable Il probably finish the cut and go straight into a bulking phase

Definitely finish the 8 weeks bro with your work ethic, knowledge, and genetics you'll completely transform yourself which will only motivate you more I know it. There's gonna be good and bad days I don't have to tell you that but I know you'll come out looking like a warrior and then you can decide the next plan of action then

I just wish I was on cycle doing this😭 but I think gear would be counter productive because I need to "slim" down too much.

Trial week day 4, almost finished with all the fatty meats. Today is my first rest day so it's perfect, il eat fatty meats and veggies all day, carbs are supposed to be >100 today and calories 2800.

Notes, despite the cut in volume I'm sore. Probably because I was working harder on my sets knowing I'm being watched.

Leg is starting to feel better but my feet have been particularly fucked lately. They just hurt all the time regardless of what I'm doing. I actually fell down my stairs (only the last 3 steps) yesterday because I was limping down the stairs in a untied pair of boots like a dumbass and I got a sharp pain and rolled my left ankle just enough to fall. No injuries tho. Just chronic foot pain. I actually took my shoes off yesterday and finished the last 2 rounds hitting the bags that hang over wrestling mats because my soles on the hard floors were too much.

Strength is good, endurance is mediocre, no injuries but lots of foot pain.

Appetite is good, probably too good lol
Been slacking on fluid intake lately, I'm still getting at least 3/4gallon a day but I'm usually double that

Hope the foot pain lets up a bit for you. Sounds like it could get unmanageable once you really have to pound on them more so hopefully it doesn't go that way. Either way you should look really solid after a nice cut and will be in a perfect place to blow up from.

I give you so much respect not cycling while cutting. I for the life if me couldn't do it. I would be too paranoid about losing all the hard gained muscle I put on beforehand

I understand, but part of my goals are to loose muscle. I physically cannot get to 178 without being 0.5% bf which would=death lol.

I need to loose about 10lbs of muscle in this process or it won't work. Even Being bodybuilding lean %4-5 in the ring would be a disaster. I need to be more like 7- 8% to be healthy at that weight and have the energy to perform

On the bright side, I know for a fact I'm gonna have a 30-40lb rebound/bulk.

Bigger picture is to come out of the bulk and get up to 220+ with my current level of leanness. I definitely think it's a possibility. If you think about muscle memory, fuel storage and then maybe adding 5-6 new lbs of muscle I should come out the other side significantly better then where my last bulk ended at 212ish.

Over the years my set point has changed several times. Currently it's around that 208-212 mark where my body says ok, let's stay here.

I want a new set pot of 215-220 next time around

What would motivate me tho is the rebound and the subsequent cycle are going to be epic!!!

Ahh I should've scrolled down and read this before I posted lol

Back to work today, and by work I mean the gym and the poker room lol. Push workout at 845/9am and boxing/cardio at 4pm

Still having issues with my feet but I can tollerate it. I been telling this guy all the same things in telling you guys and he's trying to help come up with a solution too. Obviously we're not gonna fix my feet but we need my legs to get right, I need strength and muscular endurance so he's working on it. Think we're gonna alter the workouts to chest and triceps, back and biceps, legs and shoulders but with legs and shoulders being like we did 2 days ago. High rep, short rest cardio/endurance style.

Maybe start off squatting best my feet can handle and move on to isolation type stuff where my feet don't have to be planted and finish on the stairs. Some abs and shoulders mixed in to make supersets so I get the cardio aspect of it. For now il let him figure it out.

It's nice to be able to say, hey, I got this and that wrong so fix it for me lol.

Today's plan is simple

We beat these numbers and add a shoulder press at the end for high repsInvalid Link Removed

Not sure why it didn't crop, but anyway, those are the numbers to beat.

I don't have a spot today so instead of doing 3:35 or heavier for reps I'm just going to do more reps at 315 l or 320 where I feel comfortable. So probably a couple sets of 5

Or you could ask someone to spot you and explain what you want them to do, or set safety pins in a rack….

Any time I ask for a spot it comes with instruction on exactly how I want them to do it. The first is don't take it unless I say take it. Second, if you give me a lift off make sure I have control of the bar before you let go, third, have your hands "around" the barbell but not touching it, and finally be close enough all you have to do is a slight upright row, if I need a spot, I don't want you trying to swoop in and curl 275+ if I hit failure. Of course right now most people can curl what I am benching. LMAO

Or you could ask someone to spot you and explain what you want them to do, or set safety pins in a rack….
Ya that's common sense, but No rack, no safety pins and usually old ppl and females when I go at that time of the morning. It's a bare bones gym, 1 squat rack, 2 flat benches 1 incline, 1 Smith machine and a bunch of random dumbbells and machines from the 70's lol

Workout 1
Invalid Link Removed I actually used a plate under the bench to make a slight incline.

And workout 2 was a quick warm up, 3 rounds on the mits, 3 rounds heavy bag and close grip bench 135x83 reps.

Not straight, 5-10sec tests but it went 26, 22, 17,15,and then on the 3rd rep of the next series everything started cramping up, both triceps and my right pec all started spasming and contracting and it was super painful and I had to stop and start stretching everything.

Diet was weird today but I'm still on track for calories.

Shake, chicken and rice, shake, steamed chicken and vegetables from a Chinese restaurant and I snacked on fruit and a protein bar while I was playing cards. I got 600calories left for the day

Oh and I consumed close to 1000mg of caffeine today. Not really intentionally I just wasn't paying attention and I used collision course but then I added 3 scoops of this intra workout stuff that I have that has 90 mg of caffeine per scoop. Then workout 2 I did the same I intra.

Combine all that with a large Dunkin coffee and it's about 1000 I think.
250,270,270,300 ok it's over 1000 lol

And I smoked the poker game Invalid Link Removed

I'm still turned up to level 10 so I need a chill pill right now or something. Not good being turned up like this all day, especially post workout

Dude wtf!?! Primo and growth for everyone!!!!

@Hyde

What's it called that you wanna shut it down after a workout. Kill the music, no Stims. Parasympathetic?

Bingo.

Congrats on a hot game day of poker.

I will have women spot me if there are no men. They only need to be able to curl like 40lbs, unless there’s a concern of blacking out, tearing something, or something freak that would leave you helpless. Most people who get pinned can re-press it with a fairly small amount of assistance.

I always feel awkward asking a female. I feel like it's gonna look like I'm making a crappy attempt to flirt or show off a ego lift. I know that's not what I'm Doing, but I can't help but feel like that's how it's going to look to them unless it's someone who sees me there all the time.
