I think he has had some serious abdominal etching. The shape of them is pretty consistent throughout the years, they just got way more defined.
LMAO Right! If he was Natty maybe, but claiming natty doesn't help lipids, only being natty does.
Doucette can be annoying but I believe him way more than either of those two. I love how Mike O'hearn is bigger and leaner than in his "Prime" on American Gladiators yet he is natural. Barf! Oh well he is the Barry Bonds of the fitness industry except he hasn't ever done anything truly great. I still wish I had his body! LOL

Mike has just rode the natty train so hard for so many years that if he gave up now he would loose everything. The whole you can look like me thing is definitely rediculous tho. Steroids or not, the guy is a fukin genetic marvel. Perfect skin, perfect hair, he's probably half vampire because he hasn't gotten any older looking in the last 20 years.

There's genetics for symmetry, genetics for mass, genetics for strength, genetics for health and not getting side effects.

Most of us are lucky if we have good genetics for one of the above

Weird workout today, I wasn't feeling it at first but it came together mid workout and I felt like I finished strong.

Workouts are about 1hr and 40min long, but there's a 10min warm up and I take another 10-20 to kinda wind down at the end, usually peddling on a bike or some kind of fluff work I don't track.

So the meat and potatoes of the workout is about an hour to an hour and 15min

Nothing Important to say, I've just kinda been going through the motions with diet and boxing.

Today was

Chicken, eggs and rice

Spiral ham and cheddar cheese on a bagel, Greek yogurt cup and a apple

Chicken and rice

Collision course and eaas

Last of the leftovers from Thanksgiving, turkey, mash, onions, carrots and a little Mac and cheese.

Still weighing 202, no "real" cardio in the past 5 days, just some steady state on the bike post workout
 
I got some peptides and carderine on hand that I think I'm gonna use next month, just to give me the false sense of being on a cycle. I'd like to hop back on cycle now but it's only been 5-6 weeks off and I cant get bloods till January without paying out of pocket so I'm just using that excuse as a reason to cruise/trt longer before going back on cycle.

I've been trying to do 50mg of test e every other day but I've been lazy with injection frequency the past month. Most of that time I've only been jabbing 50mg 2-3x week but I've felt completely fine so I'm not too concerned. I do imagine my test is sitting lower then my typical 900's but again, not seeing any problem. I may just go back to pinning 1x week for a while out of convenience.

Possible plan for December
150mg test every Sunday

Carderine 10mg before bed and a additional 10 pre boxing workouts?

Maybe some cjc dac and ipamorelin

Any ideas for something to preserve mass that's non steroidal or dosent mess with bloods too much if at all.

Haven't taken creatine since October 15th so I should probably pick some up

True atleast Doucette is open and honest about his gear and to his credit he does seem knowledgeable especially more on the sarms department

I know your said you weren't feeling it but your bench numbers are still legit bro. I find I get that same feeling during the week. I'll start out going through the motions and then all if a sudden a certain song will come on or I'll look at myself at a certain angle and then all of a sudden bam! And I get into it. It's like where was this in the beginning on my big lifts? And it's not the PWO kicking in because I wait atleast 30-40 minutes before training

I know but I know my last workout on bench I did 325x3 and then 245 for 3 sets of 10, knowing my current strength and the way numbers have been progressing I feel like this week everything felt heavy 335x2 felt like a max lift, I barely got that seccond rep, and muscle endurance went downhill fast on the volume sets all the way up to those High incline dumbbell presses. Now if I did those dumbbell presses first in my workout I can bang those out for sets of 20 or more no problem and I know that after a few sets my strength goes down but I should have easily got four sets of 12 on those and I just couldn't do it. Then for some reason obviously side laterals are an easy exercise but when I switched over from chest to shoulders everything got better so maybe it just wasn't a good day for chest for me. I don't think there's anything wrong with the numbers I put up it's just not what I was hoping to achieve that day? So in general I felt like my strength was down.

I've also been kind of riding a wave of constant progression since I finished that bench competition things have just gotten better and I've kind of felt like I was on peak blast cycle mg's even though I pretty much dropped everything 6 weeks ago, maybe all those hormones like the EQ and the higher test levels just kind of finally bottomed out and put me back in my place?

I'm going to back off the heavy bench stuff for a while, I'm still going to work my way up to 3:15 before doing my back off sets for volume but I'm not going to keep trying to press these 320 330 340 and so on for sets of 2-3.

Instead I'll just try to add a rep at 3:15 or maintain my strength at 3:15 I don't know.

Might just be a reality check that you can't make steady progress every workout but like I said it was only chest that felt s*****, shoulders felt great everything felt too light on shoulders.
 
All true..that's also why I don't trip on steady progress from session to session because so many things can affect it did you miss a meal yesterday, stress at work, home, etc..good point on the bottoming out idea especially with the eq scince it has been 6 weeks( already btw? That comp seems like it was just last weekend getting older sucks bro (

Ya, comp was October 15th and I stopped the EQ and test on the 8th or 9th, I stopped orals on the 15th and then started pinning test again about 2 or 3 weeks later to the best of my knowledge.

I also trained later then planned yesterday and had a mid day nap right before the gym. There's variables, it's not really a big deal. It's more so I just wanted to make a note that my strength fell down a bit.

Technically I shouldn't be going heavy on the weekends to begin with. The way training is set up, or supposed to be set up is to do all my moderate weight volume sets on the weekends and some low rep heavy stuff during the week.

Ego always takes over when I get on the bench tho. I might actually eliminate bench on volume day and do incline smith bench in it's place
 
My bench has definitely started to drop off last few weeks. Especially intentionally dropping some weight post blast, there was no hope of maintaining that zenith.

I am mentally ready to blast again after 8 weeks of true cruising, but instead I get elbow surgery in 9 days and who knows how much of a setback that will be!

No I’m excited for it, last 2 years or more I’ve been losing flexion - MRI shows there’s actually bone on the inside of my elbow and on the back under the tricep that’s physically preventing the ROM now. Could be some growth, could be fragment that broke off from somewhere else during strength training and lodged in those spots.

It’s an arthroscopic cleanup, so he’s saying I can start lifting with it immediately but it will hurt for 3-4 months while I do PT. Bone often regrows just from doing this cleanup, so it’s no guarantee it won’t come back worse later on. But hopefully I can get back to closegrip, incline, overhead pressing and doing curls.

Yeah my front delts historically have been fairly strong compared to my pecs, but I have basically had to abandon overhead & incline work. Closegrip has to be done to something like a 2-boardpress.

Curling definitely has gone out the window.

Yeah for like the last two years they wanted to go in and clean up my feet but my job is the reason why I don't do it. I'll have full insurance in January in the first time I get a layoff I'm doing everything

🤣 which one? I went to Mohegan sun once and Foxwoods one time as well. My wife took me to the hard Rock in there for dinner back in the day when she took me back to CT to show me where she grew up

Mohegan, I go there like 90% of the time. Foxwoods does have better events and shows normally. They also have a big mall inside

Nick trigili's video was the first one I saw yesterday morning and by the time I got home from work everyone had chimed in...Doucette, Lobliner, big Paul put a good one out this morning...I can't believe vigorous Steve was liver kings coach well I can because if I had the money that's who I'd hire

Clarified butter, you slow boil it to cook out any of the left over dairy byproducts do it doesn't burn or smoke so easily. It increases the smoke point for higher temperature cooking.

Paul made a good point about low estrogen and the possibility of that stopping him from getting a higher igf score.

Also you would think liver nuts would be smart enough to know you can't stack natty boosters with exogenous.

Make sense, Steve talks about his clients all the time but never reveals anyone's name and regularly says he has quote unquote natural guys on cycles. But he's very good about his clients privacy, something that mpmd should have thought about. Anyone with half a brain now knows that Derek has no confidentiality for his clients or potential clients after this.

Sorry I didn't have time to do as much food prep as I thought last night, I like to spend time putting some presentation into my food even for my own personal enjoyment but I just was too exhausted last night it was almost 9:00 p.m. by the time I ate.

But I ended up making a big salad I lately pan fried some chicken breasts and finish them off in the oven, I made a chicken vegetable fried rice and like a steamed version of fried rice and then some venison burgers with Munster cheese. Everyone was busy around normal dinner time so we all eat late and went to bed.

I'm hitting everything like a bodybuilder over the weekend and getting a few touch up strength exercises in during the week and I was making progress at first, well, actually by the log book I'm still making progress, but visible progress is coming to a halt now with the cycle being long over and the lack of sleep ect.

I hate these in-between phazes. I always loose motivation and this time of year dosent really help.

Option 1. Maintenance mode/ slight deficit and struggle through it till January, get bloodwork and hop on a cutting diet/cycle.

Option 2. Cut hard now while not on cycle and really struggle through it

Option 3. Make Dr. Appointment for ASAP, pay out of pocket and see if I can start a cycle early.

Option 4. Just say **** it for the next 4-5 weeks, get through the holidays and start fresh next year "January".

Food looks good….If you think Christmas would throw too many curve balls, you’re probably better off waiting another month on your cycle. But if you feel like you could get through without many issues, getting blood work now and starting early, if all is well, will give you that 4 week head start.
 
I feel like you haven’t been cruising that long if memory serves. I think your blast ended after mine and I’m still not blasting.

I mean if you had a time-sensitive goal that really would benefit from blasting sooner, then I would endorse it. BUT to me it sounds like you are just in a cruise limbo made worse by the work/season/contest availability scenario, so you just kind of want to take some drugs and make some gains, because we’re anabaholics and that’s fun to use.

I absolutely know I feel that way after every single blast. 4-8 weeks post blast, I am always running through random ideas for what I could take, with various potential justifications for why I should be experimenting with X combo suddenly, when the reality is it all comes back to this subconscious “get f*cking huge” mentality.

But then logic kicks in and I realize the best way to accomplish my goals isn’t just to start haphazardly taking a bunch of fast-acting hard hitting ****. I need to have a bigger plan, then figure out what best next moves me towards that, and then build cycle rough draft and diet around that.

The answer is Option 1, IMHO.
 
If the end goal is to get back down to fighting weight, I say push through with the cut, focus on cardio, and don't add any weight before the fight. The yoyo effect is going to be hard on your body anyway so the longer you maintain a lower body weight before the fight the better off you will be for the fight. The more you waiver on the goals of getting 100% for the fight the less important it actually seems to you from the outside looking in. We all know you can cut the weight with drastic measures but then you won't be 100. So I would say stay the course with the fight specific training until the fight which to me would mean no cycling to grow, just work on speed, training explosively and endurance. No need for cycling right now. You are already going to have to lose muscle to fight at 178 anyway. You have a lot of competing goals right now which have you spinning your wheels when you could be spending more time on specificity toward the main goal of being the fighter in the better condition incase it goes many rounds. You will be pissed at yourself if you get gassed and lose knowing you could have focused more on getting close to weight early pushing endurance and speed work.

That or say F the fight, get your bloods done and blast yourself into a big strong beast if that is what you really want to do. Either way I think picking one goal instead of trying to juggle so many of them with such limited time will help give you a sense of direction and the increased progress you will see training with specificity will be rewarding enough to remove some of the funk you are in and motivate you.
 
If you want to fight, commit to the process of downsizing. If you are willing to abandon that forever, then move onto bodybuilding.

Fight didn't happen. Trained for months, went from 208 to 181 , was supposed to go to 178 but I stopped because the guy backed out he cracked a wisdom tooth or something in a sparring session. So I've kind of just been hanging tight since then.

I am dying to fight but I need to make sure I'm in shape for it because it's literally been 17 years since my last official fight. Unless you count a couple of bar scraps in my twenties LOL
 
If you want to fight, commit to the process of downsizing. If you are willing to abandon that forever, then move onto bodybuilding.
