You didn’t enjoy the gym since the comp because you went off blast
That's definitely part of it. Even tho I don't feel differently on just trt, I know progression will freeze or go backwards after peaking like that.

If only it could stay linear 🤤
Would be amazing, it's hard to think about benching 380 or 400 right now when I know that I couldn't hit 360 at the moment. I'd bet 335 is a stretch right now

This morning I was looking for heavy bench videos just to watch how everyone executes form and unfortunately I landed on this

I'm still wrapping my head around it.

Yeah I am in a similar boat currently. I think I could do 340 right now, at 230lbs. I took a 330lb Floorpress last Wednesday. It seems a little wild that I benched 50 more lbs 5 months ago.

When I worked up to 315 the other day I had gone to the gym thinking 6 reps but I knew it wasn't possible so I changed my mind and I kept telling myself you're gonna get 3, you're gonna get 3, you're gonna get 3.

I did one and I almost didn't attempt the second but I did it. I held it at the top and I said no way I'm getting 3 and I racked it. Maybe I could have but highly unlikely

Question for you guys...so i have 100 units of gh..yo think it's better to do 2iu/day which I just started Saturday morning OR do 4iu 5on 2 off ( Mon-Fri, sat and sun off) that would last 1 month, that means I would do 1 kit per month which I kind of planned on but obviously doing 2iu ED would last 50 days which would be quite a bit cheaper when you map out a whole year( I don't plan on coming off)

Why not start low and work up. Even 2-3iu gh, 5 on 2 0ff is going to be significantly more then your producing natural. The 5/2, daily or even a bolus dose 3 to 4 x week all seem to work depending on who you ask.
But I do know the majority of ppl i talk to suggest daily or even multiple times daily. And then the go to 2iu 5 on 2 off on cruise or whatever.

Sorry, I know I rambled a lot without giving a clear answer lol

Yeah 2iu to 3iu let’s your body adjust to the rise in IGF-1 and GH and allows you to ease into not only the positive effects but also adjust to the possible rise in blood sugar. And I do the 5 on 2 off with GH and even MK 677 as well when I use them.

I don't know if it was vigorous Steve or Dave Crossland who was saying yiu could run mk or cjc on the 2 "off" days if you are doing the 5 on 2 off schedule. The one downside is depending on hiw much yiu need the cost could almost be the same as just staying on the gh all 7 days

Yep, I’ve never ran it over 3iu. And I understand why guys competing run the high doses, but I never could justify the cost or possible health risks that high doses bring.

I thought about doing an experiment with GH and MK. It would be GH 3iu on Mon, Wed, Fri and MK 25 mg on Tue and Thu. I may get blood work and try it later this year and just see the effects. I’ve ran both MK and GH at those doses, so I have a pretty good handle on being able to compare. Even though they both act a little differently from each other, I know how both affect my IGF-1 levels individually, and could compare how they affect it stacked. Somebody may have already done this, but I haven’t heard of it, so we’ll see. I don’t mind being a Guinea Pig when I understand and know what I’m taking.

@Smont Have you watched the new podcast with big Paul Justin Harris ( i forget the other guy) dude it's really good, towards the end they talk about t4 for a little bit. Looking forward to getting into that bottle I got from mike. Maybe around may when $hit starts getting real, we'll plan it later see when we want to add it depending on where my progress is at. BTW the dream coach question we talked about a while back, I'm switching mine to JustinHarris. Dude is a genius. Just the way he explains things it makes total sense to me. If that guy told me to eat alpo dog food outta the can and I'd be 265 and ripped I'd probably believe him and do it lol

I’ve listened to a lot of podcasts with Justin over the years, since many years ago after he helped Dave Tate of EliteFTS get in shape.

He’s a very intelligent guy, and because of that & all his experience trying different things with people he’ll basically say it comes down to genetics and then people doing the prerequisites.

One of the things I really loved him saying was that as much as he loves hard, brutal training, that’s just not what makes the difference. And neither is there some exotic drug combo secret, or magic diet. As long as someone will train reasonably hard (which almost everyone serious enjoys doing), and takes enough gear (real bodybuilding isn’t going to be sissy doses), it comes down to genetics and how much meat & rice you can get them built up to process. Take your gear, do your training, and after that it’s all ridiculous quantities of meat & rice. That’s it.

I agree that destroy yourself is probably nonetheless key to getting big in the gym. But I do look around an a regular basis and see ppl training so "easy?" The opposite of training hard. I don't think I train very hard, I definitely have my moments but overall during my lifting sessions I only break a light sweat. Maybe 1 or 2 sets per workout I'm really in the zone talking to myself saying 1 more or your gonna get 6, or whatever I need to push it to a new comfort zone, but that's kinda rare for me. I'd say I'm middle of the road training vs. Training "hard".

Bit man, I see ppl don't sets of 10 with 5 to 10 reps in the tank all the time, like the second a rep doesn't go perfect or there's the slightest struggle they rack it. I've even done It.
Sometimes while I'm working up the volume and adding 5lbs a workout IL e doing sets of 10 and be like ok, this is easy today. Let's see what I can do, and IL get 23 on the last set. This tells me maybe jump 10 lbs or whatever. But IL see guys do those sets, stop at 10 and them next week there usingvthe same weight again.

Man, now that’s impressive.
Crazy strength. I've done some decent fairly heavy sets for reps. 225x28 and 245×16 but I also weighed 223 at the time, I had 70lbs on thst kid.

There was a kid at the meet I did that was 160 something lbs and he just missed 405, but he had one of those super wide grips with the high chest and I'm talking about maybe 4inchrs was the ROM. I know it's a technique but I can't help but shake my head when I see some of these ROM that are acceptable. I need to learn how to shorten mine a bit but I wanna impress myself when I set a pr, I wanna feel good and I would not without a decent ROM. There's a satisfaction I get from the struggle and a bigger satisfaction watching the replays.

I think most people you see at commercial gyms don’t train hard - that is normal. Even at strength and bodybuilding gyms plenty of people phone it in.

I would say based on what you’re saying I probably train harder than that on everything but my final isolation movements - those are just icing on the cake to me and serve as much as conditioning and bloodflow for recovery. I mean if I’m feeling it I will push to utter exhaustion, seeing stars & mega burn finisher work, but usually by the very end there’s nothing dramatic left. But I always try to leave spent.

You have to realize that Justin is someone who squat like 500 or 550 for a set of 20 & trained under Dante. So for him training hard is second nature; he’s a real one.

in another group yesterday someone posted that you don't need to break a sweat. I didn't bother replying cause I had nothing nice to say. If I am going anywhere other than home after the gym I pack extra briefs, socks, deodorant, everything... I have a history of going TOO hard, but I still even in my pulled back version train as hard as I conceivably can (which I'm still trying to push harder).

I am learning that doing sets of 5 at 95% of 1rm is not going to last, so I'm pulling it back some of course. But even if I train at 80% I'm working it, and when I get into my accessories I'm working it still. I tend to go basically as hard as I can until I feel any pump start to fade away. Muscle soreness and soaked gym shirts are just a way of life I guess. haven't **** my self in the squat rack yet, but I've left plenty of dna on the mirror.

Looking back on the past 20 years, yes genetics probably play some roll but I think the biggest detriments, the things that really limited my upper strength numbers is far too much volume and not enough food.

I definitely work hard in the gym. However, I don't really sweat all that much unless I am out in the heat, or in the sauna. Even doing my cardio where I burn 500-600 calories I am often not sweating that bad at the end. I would need to layer up to do really break a sweat like that. It is weird because I used to sweat a lot more, and soak my clothing but now I will barely sweat enough to change the color of my shirt even on leg day. At least in the gym, if in the garage and it is remotely warm I definitely get pretty sweaty, but not shirt soaked all the way type of thing like before.

@Hyde What's your opinion of broderick Chavez complete genius or absolutely insane?
I would say neither, or both, depending on your perspective lol. Some people say things like “He uses big words to sound like a genius.” He is not a genius or selling himself to be; those people are just genuinely stupid.

My opinion is he makes a lot of sense, has good arguments/reasoning for why he does things even if I disagree, and his approach is generally sensible. Look at the big picture, pick the right tools for your specific needs, only use what you need and don’t push things until necessary. He understands the critical importance of diet, sleep, cardio, the big picture, and so the drugs get tailored around that.

For a guy who loves performance enhancement, he won’t try to oversell you on the idea of just pushing more gear. That way works obviously, but you can reach those results with less risk and side effects if you are willing to do the work & can make educated choices.

I don’t think how much someone is sweating is really a sign of how hard they’re working, just one way to tell. In general, you can always tell if someone is working hard. Even if they make no noises or grunts, no sweat, no form slip, not gasping - you can still see it in their face/eyes if nothing else. You’ll see that break down as the intensity peaks.

He doesn't use big words to sound smart, he's educated, he's just overly proud of himself is how I view it. But I will say this, from a psychological standpoint. When your a very educated person you should know the crowd your speaking to and adjust accordingly. He tries to present all of his information the same regardless of crowd and its counterproductive. It does him or me or whoever is teaching no good to over articulate and use words that I know some or most of my audience does not understand. If I'm using words you don't understand you can't take as much away from my lecture. Elon musk actually talks about this. When his people are presenting him ideas and they start using unnecessary big words or Disguising simple words with clever words that mean the same thing he tells them to stop it. Your wasting my time with unnecessary words get to the point in the simplest way possible so we can hurry up and get to work.

Damn it, it cut off some of my first post. @Dustin07 what I was getting at is I don't think yiu necessarily need to be sweating all the time, but you need to be challenging yourself. I think I have a similar view as you. I think most ppl do less and advocate less because there scared to over train when there actually severally undertraining and leaving like 8 reps in the tank on every set. Or there just lazy. If I do a workout that's all sets of 3 to 5 with 3min rest I won't sweat. But il still be working hard

I went to the gym earlier and forgot my phone and headphones so I went and got 4 small sirloin steak tacos and put some Greek yogurt on then instead of sour cream. The guy said theres 2oz sirloin on each small one so the totals should be about 50p, 50c, 10f for all 4.
Not I gotta let this digest and muster up the energy to go try again later. I've noticed I can't hit the gym a hour after a steak meal or tacos or any pasta with red sauce type thin like I can with chicken and rice or IL get nauseous and acid reflux.

Nap time I guess, I took the day off anyway so I mine as well relax a little and IL hit the gym after or tonight instead

I would agree; if you want to reach the widest audience you have to present at the lowest level. You have to be able to explain it to a child. In Broderick’s case, I have seen him do so - he understands at that level, he just doesn’t give a **** & like you said has an ego.

I’m not really commenting whether I like him as a personality - I’m just saying he’s a good source of information. Like I didn’t really understand how test impacts blood thickness so significantly until listening to him. Now I know that if I do push test high, I better understand why I’m seeing what I have on my bloodwork.

I'm not sure on his Personality either, but I do listen when I come across his stuff
