i have my GP app't in 4 weeks, just got a letter for the urologist for AUGUST 14!!!!!!!! i really dont want to keep doin this...

so im thinking when i go for my blood test tomorrow, and see my GP in 4 weeks.....push nicely for androgel 5%, so when i go see the urologist, he will have....

1... my baseline levels with no intervention

2... my levels 10 weeks into androgel, which could prove helpful and time saving.....A: if its working i stay on it, B: if not responding he can, either up dose or switch to Injectable

do you think thats a bad idea, i think it will save everybody time??

If you did not used any testosterone before it would be a bad idea to start it now, before you know your blood tests levels.
You may not need any testosterone.
If you add it blindly now you will never find out what your actual problem is.

i have my blood test levels... im going tomorrow for the others

ESTRONE
ESTRADIOL
SHBG
LH
FSH
ECT.ECT

THEREFORE..... i will have baseline levels (already have total test and bio-t)

so i would have, baseline (b4 androgel) and i could possible be 10 weeks into androgel, with lab results, THUS the urologist could evaluate how the gel is working....

does that make anymore sense?

Total Testosterone
FreeTestosterone
BioavailableTestosterone
SHBG
Albumin
have to be done as one blood draw and one test.
They are inter-dependent.
-------------
I just got some of my results from Quest and I have different numbers for the same items but done as different process.
Say, from my one blood draw I have on report
Albumin=4.3 and 4.6
Testosterone Total= 456 and 510
--------------------
It is enough problems with one blood draw, it will be much harder if you will try to combine results from diferent dates.

oh really?? will it be THAT BIG of an issue?? its not like my testosterone is gunna spike or anything..

After you start T the first month you will feel a lot better, but then that your body will quite producing its own T and your T levels 6 weeks later could actually be lower than when you started and you could end up feeling worse. Plus Gels can also raise your Estrodial. This is where I am at now. I am feeling worse than when I started, more anxiety, no sex drive, ect. Thats why JanSz is saying to wait until you get all your blood work done before starting anything. You may end up wanting to see a specialis or Dr. John or Dr. Shippin if you can not find any one.
