Little G's Fudge Brownie

"Vanilla Bean ice cream with a chocolate fudge swirl and fudge brownie chunks."

The fudge swirl is a stronger dark chocolate to milk chocolate flavor that pairs very well with the brownie chunks. The swirl is thick, and provides a very bold chocolate flavor that pairs with the soft, and gooey brownies in this pint

The swirl reminded me of how thick Turkey Hill provides them in their quarts. A massive thick and delicious swirl & loaded it with brownies, and you have Fudge Brownie in a nutshell. I personally think the Brownies in Ample Hills pints are better, but these are Damn good.

Oh I remember all those^ and intend to try

I just always wanted to see B&J tackle sandwiches, hoped they would bring some more variety or new flavour ideas to that market

I LOVE ice cream sandwiches

"Vanilla bean ice cream with chocolate chip, double chocolate & sugar cookie dough"

After talking to Grace yesterday I found why these temper faster then some brands (S&S, Graeters etc) She does not use any stabilizers in her base. But the buttermilk fat content is still high at 18%. The Vanilla base is decent but again not top tier like S&S and Graeters which I find superior on the ice cream market.

Most people are use to regular cookie dough chunks or balls in Cookie Dough Flavors. This also includes double chocolate cookie dough and sugar cookie cookie dough. All 3 Cookie doughs are good, but the regular cookie dough dominates the amount of chocolate and sugar cookie dough you get in this experience. While all 3 mix-ins are delicious the vanilla bean base has to be upgraded in future flavors to get an A. The consistency of the mix-ins are plentiful as seen in the pictures. They are in large abundant chunks like Graeter's chocolate chips.

Buy me one next time and store it in your freezer. I trust you on picking out the best one.
Tell GNO to get all his little G's out of your freezer so you have room :)

Just go there yourself and eat it!

I need dat freezer space! Not my fault Little Gs is the nabisco of ice cream companies.

Little G's is good, but I would still put S&S and AH above them. Grace does a good job but needs to improve some of her bases and relies on her mix-ins to do all the talking S&S and AH are more well rounded and very consistent with all aspects of the ice cream.

I have to say...got to appreciate Grace's customer service and how she takes what her consumers wants and literally makes those flavors right away. Pretty spectacular for someone 17 years old.

Still I would prob rank those as my top 3 ice cream companies right now. Graeter's falling right behind at #4

I have not had enough of the Little Gs yet to write them off, but top 5 so far for sure. S&S has been great so far, but one bad pint and you're like $23 bucks for this lol.

AH is in top 3, but Artic Zero #1 by a mile ;)

Little G's is right around
109/6 pack = $18
149/10 pack = $15

*Unless you use the discount codes...*

Still up there... AH Is right around that price point on $15

Glad I skipped on the SB flavors this year from Ample Hills.. Sounded weak and did not look much better based on the review.

The Cookies are the real MVP. Loaded and stuffed from top to bottom. You know I love filling and stuffed cookies so these hit the spot. Crunchy, the filling packed a buttercream flavor, and left a long lasting aftertaste. Tossing in cookie dough which is another personal favorite of mine was icing on the cake.

Invalid Link Removed

Chocolate base is good, but again this is not Jeni's good (Before listeria), or S&S/AH which I deem better. The Mix-Ins stole the show and were extremely consistent as Grace has been in her pints.

Best off her OG Lineup if you place an order for a 6/10 pack be sure to include this one.

So Halo Top is finally in Michigan where I cross to buy US exclusives, can someone aware me of the best few to try?

I grabbed Birthday Cake and Oatmeal Cookie to start.

Also this guy

Was the only Graeters there that I have yet to try, hoping it's a good one for 340 cals/serving

I personally dindt enjoy it much because the chocolate chips are hidden due to the added almonds.
You don't get the huge ones like in buckeye, cookie dough or peanut butter chocolate chip.
Not bad tho... Id rank it average.

Have I had cheese crown?

Many times now lol

Graeters is the best I have access to generally so I grab a couple each time I'm there

Dylan -- my favorites are salted caramel and red velvet. Cookie dough is good, but the chunks are honestly about the size of chocolate chips lol. Still good, though. Choc pb tastes decent too, but I would put it behind the first 2 for sure.

Salted caramel and red velvet are for sure tops. Just outside for me is lemon cake (still) and oatmeal (for how unique it is).

Honestly, any of the new flavors are very good, and even the og's are solid for basic flavors and the cals

Agreed none that I have tried are bad; just like those best. Oatmeal was weird for me -- I would have loved raisins or creme, but the pieces of rolled oat instead of like a granola consistency didn't do it for me (felt like soggy cereal -- all "mouth feel" issue for me and nothing to do with taste).

The choc almond had a strange flavor to me, though. That's the only one I've had I don't think I would want to eat again.

i totally agree on the oatmeal that its odd... def wouldve liked some raisins too, but thats not what the flavor was called either so i can understand it.

pb cup, almond choc, and pistachio were all just ok for me. Nothing special about any of them but def not unenjoyable either.

New mystery flavor from Graeters
I'll be in Columbus when it is revealed so I'll have to eat some at a scoop shop on an 1870 tower !

Salt & Straw Happy Birthday Elvis

"lightly spiced banana custard ice cream that’s ‘all shook up’ with chunks of peanut butter bacon cookie dough & Then we swirl in a ribbon of marionberry jam"

The banana base was hard to pick up a strong banana flavor. It was very light and subtle.
Once you dig in the marionberry swirl starts to take over which is absolutely incredible.

Invalid Link Removed

The chunks of cookie dough are incredibly dense, have a great flavor, but the applewood smoked bacon and peanut butter are mere aftertastes. The elements of the elvis are combined, but they are all not very strong. I would of liked the banana and peanut butter to be stronger in flavor.

Invalid Link Removed

The swirl is the strongest flavor and largest aspect of this pint, then the cookie dough, the bacon, pb, and banana flavor are all subtle to combine to make an elvis sandwich. The bacon was very good, don't get me wrong, but I only had a few specks of it throughout the pint.

100% agree with this....could have been so much better

Yesterday Ben&Jerrys dropped 3 new pints here in Sweden and in some kind of promo they only dropped at one store. My fiancé knows my love for ice cream is strong so she was there at 3pm when it went on sale. Looking forward to trying them tomorrow!

Salt & Straw Foie Gras Oatmeal Raisin Cream Pie
Grade: A-
Invalid Link Removed

"our housemade oatmeal raisin cookie recipe leveled up with rendered foie gras in place of butter. After the cookies are baked, we fill them—whoopie pie-style—with foie gras cream frosting and stir them by the handful into salted vanilla ice cream. Finished with a whirl of candied raisin coulis."

The vanilla is enhanced by the foie gras cream frosting that blends from the oatmeal raisin cookies and gives it a richer buttery aftertaste. This base alone is fire.

Invalid Link Removed

The chunks of the whoopie pie are very soft, chewy, and melt in your mouth with each bite. The frosting or filling of the cookies is hard to detect as it carries into the ice cream base to amplify the buttery richness of the luscious vanilla flavor. The star of the show is hands down the swirl of the candied raisin coulis.

This looks incredible. Oatmeal raisin is maybe my favorite type of cookie to begin with

If you ever got to have Oatmeal Cookie Chunk from ben and jerry's (RIP). This blows it away.
Glad I got 2 pints of this from S&S this year.. the 2nd was just as good as the first.

Grace (from Little G's) may have something like this in the works very shortly as well (Oatmeal Cream Pie flavor). I hope she decides to finalize that flavor.
