The Unofficial Ice Cream thread

The maple one is next on my list, only 100cals

Definitely let me know how that is!

I grabbed their Butterfinger too, 150 cals iirc but great, better than Breyer's candy themes up here easily.

Washington Apple pie (100 cals) is in my freezer waiting for a refeed

The Breyers were not worth it, IMO.

Had to run to Wal-Mart, so I looked and saw Pecan Sticky Buns, so I picked it up. Funny thing is, for the first 2 or 3 bites something about it made me think it may be better than Cheese Crown. But once I started working through, it was clear that it wasn't lol. Still really good, but not elite.

Good comparison there.
It has more uniqueness to the base but it missed on delivery.

Cheese Crown is a level up

Graeter's one of the best you can buy in the grocery store.
How F'in good is that base? legit like a cheesecake.
Those cinnamon sugar pastry pieces and fondant icing flakes
Just hngggggggggg

But again.. Nothing tops the buckeye :)

GNO have you hit any of these?

May give Ontario's Ice cream a shot and hit a couple of them this spring/summer

Nope but the one's in Hamilton and Brantford are easy hits for me :)

Tried the new ample hills last night.... Base didn't taste much like honey but the matzo crack mix ins are incredible and plentiful. This alone is what give is my B rating... With some honey or a stronger honey flavored vase this is an easy A or A plus

Any good caramel cashew (or pecan) I will grab, thanks for the heads up!

I was eyeing up their cookie doughs... If it really is a lot of mix-ins I could pack it into 3 pints and fit them in 2-3 times a week lol

Dieting tactics are coming into play... I also grabbed a proper ice cream spoon so it takes me longer to finish now lol

The butter tart tub had a good amount of mix-ins so I'd try more for sure after I get through all my premium US brands lol

Lol no, meaning I got a dessert spoon designed for ice cream

It's 1/2 the size of the one I was using lol

haha i love using baby sized utelsils... actually slows me down. though 90% of the time I end up eating with my hands like a child anyways haha

Sounds about right

I still smash a pint before Jana scrapes off her top 1/3

Handel's S'mores

Overall a great pint. For those who really love a graham cracker base this will be a pint not to pass on. Compared to the other S'mores on the market the marshmallow inclusion is near identical to Gelato Fiasco with the torched marshmallow. The chocolate chunks could have been better, but beggars cannot be choosers. If you are a fan of swirls 7/11 takes the cake with ease. For those who love a rich marshmallow base Wegmans will be your go to S'mores. I would have to say 7/11 and Handel's takes the cake over Gelato Fiasco (due to how rich the cinnamon is). I would not hesitate to pick this one up again.

Grade: B+

Get 1 scoop cheesecrown, 1 scoop buckeye with whip cream, nuts, cherry, syrup, and sprinkles

= Winning.

Buckeye Sundae's are dope too.

Nice. I'm not big on cities in general, but we liked Cincy when we were up there. Been a few years. Great ballpark and riverfront area and nice zoo, too.

I'm not a city guy at all either. The area here is pretty nice tho. Similar actually to where I live in atl

^^ I don't get it? What iss different about the flavor?

They are "Flipping" or interchanging aspects of the flavor for something else. A small way to twist the flavor
in other words.. Marketing.. It won't be much better or worse.

For instance:
Totally
Flipped from Half Baked

Totally Flipped: Chocolate and Vanilla Ice Creams with Fudge Brownies and Chocolate Chip Cookies.
Half Baked: Chocolate & Vanilla Ice Creams with Fudge Brownies & Gobs of Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
