I got a discount due to my last order and a shipping problem on S&S's end. So it was about what you paid for AH if you bought a 5 pack.
Until you try S&S you can't knock it or their quality. mkretz has had some experience with them and has enjoyed each pint. From the feedback from a vast majority on social media it seems to be the king. I will pay a bit extra if the quality is really that good.

I never knocked their quality and I trust you and mkretz in saying that they are great. However, no pint is worth $20+ ...$15US ea is really pushing it for me and is only once in a while thing

While you like to buy your fast food pizza and local chain pizza or Chinese I invest mine towards some ice cream. Personal preference mate.

And I can get 2-3 pizzas or Chinese MEALS for that price, not just a single serving. In your words, apples to oranges.

150 a serving is pretty darn macro friendly bro lol.
its fiber one. It is not going to be a ben n jerrys at 250-300 kcals a serving.
Same with the Sams Choice pints they are around 250 a pop.
Haagen Dazs is around 250-300 a pop
Talenti can range from 200-250 depending on flavor.
 
If it tastes good, cool. Otherwise I'll rock another Kroger Butterfinger for 150 or rescoop the Breyers waffle cone for 140

And I did expect lower actually, other low cal brands are 100-120

I'm through my Edy's now and man that's the best 110 cals/serving I've ever had

the best kcals a serving you ever had is some pootang pie, and that is Much lower in kcal content :)
my favorite low kcal is Gelato Fiasco Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel.
Absolute FIRE for no mix-ins and just a solid base.

The overall way the pint sets up the cookies, dense base, and complimenting flavoring makes this a reason its a top flavor on the line next to Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip and Buckeye Blitz. Those are hands down 3 of my favorite flavors off this line, and will always be safe bets when trying the Graeter's brand. Seasonal flavors may come and go (Cheese Crown, Salted Caramel Brownie Truffle), but this one is a classic. A dense vanilla base packed with quality flavor, and englufed by chunks of oreo's. For a cookies and cream fan you need this in your life.

I had Pb for prez yesterday. Base is unique and creamy, lots of the butter cake pieces.... I still think I would put the crack Carmel above it, but it is quality for sure
 
Salt & Straw Rant

After an hour on the phone with UPS they said my package has not even arrived in Pennsylvania. So therefore it is not even close to its destination. For some reason this is what they said was probably the case last time as well. Hence why my shipment came in 3 days air instead of 2 day air. I ordered Wednesday, and it says on tracking it should be delivered today. But yet its not even in PA

I can't order Salt & Straw if I cannot be promised 2 days shipping and my ice cream not coming as it should be. Many people who order on the east coast (my buddies in Florida, Georiga, Buffalo) have never had a single problem with your shipping.

Not only does UPS not ship on Saturday, that means my ice cream will come Monday. Which Wednesday to Monday is 5 business days, 99.9% chance that will be melted.

UPS called Salt & Straw and the lady that picked up immediately hanged up the phone. The UPS rep tried again and was again hung up on within seconds when she notified this was UPS.

I then called UPS back to figure out what is going on. UPS is sending me an absolution letter, confirming it is an error on their end. So yes its not Salt & Straw but S&S only ships UPS. So therefore my future shipments or orders would be a problem.

The unique blend of a cheesecake base, cinnamon pastry pieces, and an icing flake makes this different on the Graeter's line. Not many ice creams offer a cheesecake base, or can provide the richness Graeter's does in their ice cream. Take a new york style cheesecake, add a vanilla icing (icing flakes), and a strong blend of cinnamon sugar pieces like a graham cracker crust. Graeter's is known for the signature chocolate chips, but after trying this. They need to invest in more Cheesecake Bases with sweet complimentary mix-ins. Hands down a top 3 flavor next to Buckeye & Cookies and Cream. Black Raspberry may be in a tie for the #3 overall flavor next to this one.

sure it is... you paid s&s to ship it didn't you? If they chose to get a crap shipment co. then yes, that's their fault. for that amount of money, you'd think they could afford a reliable shipper.

UPS does more than just ship salt and straw.
I have had UPS ship me from a lot of other ice cream companies with 0 problems.
UPS Ships for almost all major corporations. It happens, not every shipment you get will be 100% on time, and things can get mixed up.
I am sure you have fell victim to supplement shipments coming in from UPS not on time, possibly hole in the box, or an item missing.
Same can apply to shipping ice cream, perishable goods, or anything else. I just happened to have bad luck on my situation.
Life happens and things move on. I am sure they will take care of me for the inconvenience.

I did find the Sticky Pecan Buns today @ Walmart... I know Driven2lift already scooped it.

Normally, I would agree, but when its 2 for 2... thats a trend... and something they obviously need to address with UPS themselves.

Found sticky pecan buns today myself too! (and they still had cake my day there as well ha)

I have all 3 in my walmart. Usually they wait until the older exclusives are gone before rolling out the new ones.
But hey ill take it :)

I was surprised at the one I found it at as they hardly have any pints of anything and even more rarely get much if any of the exclusives/specialties.

Prob gonna crack it next weekend just to try.
 
I still can't find pecan sticky buns :-( scooped salt and straw almond butter slated ganache and , sump town coffie andnconpartes live buts this weekend both were incredible. Justified the price IMO. Also had ample hills butter pecan brittle. 10x better than I remember. Loaded with delicious toffee and brittle so good

The almond brittle and salted ganache has a 1" Chunk sitting on the top of my pint. That flavor is straight banana's. That and cupcake were the 2 best from the March order IMO. The quality of the ice cream base is a step above other brands which gives it the edge.
 
Celebrated hitting 223 lbs this morning with pizza for dinner and had my pint of Kroger Jammed Butterfinger for dessert -- such a good amount of Mix-ins for the cal total.

one of my favorites... I couldn't beleive how packed it was for the cals. and its like $1 a pint too ha. BEST DEAL EVER

I don't know about you, but when I pay a company to ship me something, I expect to get what I paid for. Including the shipping.

You paid them, they hired ups. Their fault. Should've gone with someone else. Both times.
