Was not worth the trip. I took one for the team on that one. PBI review on the new flavors were pretty spot on. Not worth the $$$. The old Dark Chocolate was forever the best dark chocolate on the market. I know you never got to try their cake. Which was absolutely to die for.

Grabbed a few things to grill out for dinner tonight (gorgeous weather and the wife worked late, so I wanted to have dinner ready for her) and I checked the ice cream aisle quickly before I left.

Peeped some Kroger Deluxe Jammed pints and picked up a Butterfinger and a Baby Ruth. Only 600 cal/pint, so not terrible (I'm cutting). Had the Butterfinger just a few minutes ago. I'll upload photos tomorrow from the computer, but the mixins were plentiful mixins and I really liked it.

Excited to try Baby Ruth.

The butterfinger one is one of my all time favorite pints of any brand. The baby Ruth was a letdown tho compared.

Overall going into this pint I have read some good reviews, but after my experience I was shocked at how good this truly was. This one was stellar. From the first bite the base alone was incredible. If you love honey or very sweet things this has your name all over it. The amount of honeycomb pieces and glaze from the honey was laced throughout this pint. Ample Hills really hit a home run here, and I would highly suggest picking this up in a future order off goldbelly or amplehills.com

Crackd' Stachio - smooth pistachio ice cream with white chocolate hazelnut crack cookies
The 30 - Hazelnut ice cream made with Fra Angelico and pieces of red velvet ooey gooey.

Does anyone have experience with yuengling ice cream? My grocery has a digital coupon this week, which makes it free. If you've had it, what flavors do you enjoy?

My god...

Marry, turtle, and pb sound like the best to me. The cereal ones sound good but I feel like it'd be very hard to get crunchy cereal in there which would take away from it if it's not.
 
Picked up the bday cake Halo top today... Just took a quick scoop and it's bomb. I'll get a pic of the insides (lots of sprinkes) later tonight.

Also saw that arctic zero is coming out with a cake batter and pomegranate flavors... obviously the consistency of these will suck as the other AZ's do but if the falvor is good enough it might make for a nice mixer or something. Either way i'll def try them just to see (as long as they're on sale ha)

Time for you to order some AH And give them a shot. The quality will not let you down.
Munchies, Ooey Gooey Butter cake, Raw Deal, Sweet as Honey, Salted Crack Caramel would be a good 5 pint to start out at and go from there. If they release these limited flavors (like we can vote on) i would pick them up in 2 seconds.
All of the Mix-ins I have had from them were spot on, the consistency from top to bottom is usually on point.

The one you make yourself ha.

It's really weighing what you consider "healthy"... Low cals? Low carbs? Low fat? Regular? There's options for anything but I don't consider one more "healthy" than another.

We can all agree tho that 99.9% of the time the best ice creams are the highest cals. Fat and sugar are the best ha

Graeter's and McConnell's were $3.99/pint at Fresh Market today. Grabbed Buckeye Blitz (never tried)...Jenni's pints were $11.99.

Looks like I'll be venturing out to fresh market tomorrow to see if it's the same down here...

I'm assuming buckeye choc chip and buckeye blitz are the same?

You remember how you advised against Salted crack due to poor reviews? Lol

Sometimes gotta try something for yourself. AH is a top brand in my experience! Just wish they had more flavs in pints and they were sold in stores across the state.

Ample Hills is known for unique and consistent ice cream flavors. This is yet another example of thinking outside the box to make a good flavor. The creamy and fluffy ice cream pairs with a flavorful mix in to provide a killer one two punch. Both ice cream base and mix-inks compliment each other to find a fine balance. While the taste of the base may far different caramel base, its uniqueness may throw some people off. The burnt brown sugar combined with the dark caramel base made for a great offer from Ample Hills.

Make sure you have a change of underwear.
Last time i scooped it I had a chip that was almost 40-50g in weight. Literally
It filled the entire diameter of the pint.

I even emailed that to the owner (bob Graeter) and he said that was one of the larger chips he has seen.
Asked him to consider making something on their webpage about uploading the biggest chocolate chunk consumers got. That would be a neat collage of pictures.
 
So excited!

Gotta set my macros up to fit it in later this week/weekend hopefully. I've been making really good progress with cutting since I've added ~2 miles on the track in between sets of my lifting the past couple weeks (keeps my HR up but allows my muscles to rest to hit it hard the next set). So while something this high cal would have set me back in the past, I should be able to enjoy it without sidetracking myself this time.

Oh, also tried the following Jammed Kroger Deluxe pints after Butterfinger:

Baby Ruth
Cookie Dough

and Rocky Road (though this was not listed as Jammed).

All were good, but Butterfinger was the best. Baby Ruth was better than I anticipated just lacked slightly on mix-ins compared to Butterfinger.

Rocky Road had a lot of good marshmallow in there.

Nice pints for only 600cal total each.

They also have a handful of HaloTop flavors now along with the new AZ's.

But to be hobest, I don't know that I'll go back to them. Would much rather have to run an extra mile and a half to earn the Kroger pint over one of those.
 
If you enjoy Buckeye from Graeters.
Cookies & Cream, Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip are also very good flavors that rank near the top.
If you happen to see the limited flavor CheeseCrown do not think twice and grab it. Absolutely epic. Its a cheesecake in ice cream form with epic mix-ins.

I had that cookie as well. I thought it was ok. The SnickerDoodle one is GOAT IMO
Bacon was not strong enough. The Cookies are very legit tho.

Nabbed a pint of Buckeye along with my Butterfinger Kroger I've cream. Decided to pick up the birthday cake Halo Top for a kick, too. Won't but AZ again and don't expect much from here but wanted to,give it a shot.

Will probably do the Buckeye on Thurs night in the middle of my hypertrophy sessions where I should be able to better utilize it.

I love my phone but HATE its autocorrect. Seriously.

It alters correctly spelled words for random crap. On always changes to in, etc. Ugh.


On a bright note, Halo Top birthday cake is really good! Relatively speaking, obviously, but leagues better than Arctic Zero. Tastes good and has a legit creamy consistency for a 280 cal pint with 24g protein.

Told ya! The lemon cake is even better too. Honestly all the flavors I've tried have been solid for what they are.

Also took a sample of the enlightened hot chocolate and dear god it's as good as the other one I tried. Super chocolatey, dark, decently creamy... Total wow for 90cals/srv.

Enlightened is officially legit.
 
I'm gonna talk to our local Kroger and ask them to get all the Halo Top,flavors and tell them to get rid of AZ lol

Verdict: waste of cals and money. "Lots of cookies" is purely a lie. Small, barely noticeable pieces are throughout, even those are under 1/bite.

I don't know why the cals are higher. IMO the mint is just as good or better at 140 cals.
Base here was ok, but "ok" doesn't carry all the shortcomings.

A red velvet fan (I'm impartial) may like the base enough to say 5 or 6 /10
