The PR Thread

Standing OHP- 185x1

Front squats- 285 x 5, up from 285 x 2 on Dec 17th.

Almost pooped my pants when I came home and checked my log book.

Is this raw or geared?
raw. Unfortunately those numbers I have to take his word on and the word of other gym memebers who have witnessed it but I personally have seen him hit 405 on incline and 225 for 50 on decline along side 150lb DBS for reps and he's now in his early to mid 50s and had two shoulder surgeries and a hernia surgery so I can definitely see him hitting those numbers in his mid 40s

Not my current PR or bodyweight by any means, but the best weight:BW ratio I ever had was when I deadlifted 405 at 130 pounds. I was 17.

Did 315x3 on bench pretty easy and I'm 195 and I was born with Erbs palsy. This just shows with the right training program and diet anything is possible.

yes sir! I'm at 285x3 and I am 175.

I guess I'll keep going cuz the last 8 weeks I've had some good PRs. Finally hit a 500# deadlift something that I've worked for for alittle over a year. And I'm 6-1 195.

You DID make those look easy. Nicely done.

OHP 185x2. Not a new personal PR but a PR since college. No leg drive either which was nice. 225 should happen by fall.

I know nobody really cares about rack pulls but I got a PR today. I did it just for fun. 585x1. I could've got 2 but I felt my calluses ripping.

Nice work, and rack pulls are just the hack squats of deadlifts ;)

135 on bench today! Finally after all this time!!!

Thanks guys! I was beyond excited!

God gives and takes away and today he gave. 365 3x3 on incline @ 213 bw. I'm hoping the three lb gain in bw is because I trained at the end of the day today as opposed to fasted in the morning like usual.

Slightly off topic. But I'm interested in the largest weight u can jump from warm up to warm up whether it be for a 1RM or just working sets. I've experimented between 40-70 pound jumps but I'm interested in the biggest jump u can make safely.

I make it less about the lbs jumped and more about the reps I do in warm ups and lower working sets. If I'm shooting at a PR, I will stick with all of the same weights I have been using in that particular cycle, but just do less reps as to not gas out.
What weights you jump, IMO, should be kept conservative. 40-70lbs sounds decent to me.
Hope that helps

Pulled a 400 pound deadlift for 3 reps tonight. My goal was to pull 400 by the end of February but i've really been feeling it the past couple weeks. I was stoked to lock it out the first rep and amazed myself when I locked it out twice more. Then I went total beast mode the rest of my workout riding the high.

I had my girlfriend at the ready in case I passed out. LOL

150 DBs for 5 reps on flat. Previous best was 140s for 3 on incline but the ROM was much better today. Still weighing in at 210 can't seem to loose weight but strength is going up steadily
