The Power of Corosolic Acid!

Interesting:

Corosolic acid, in an oil based soft gelatin capsule, was given to each group of people at the dose of 16, 32 or 48 mg per day for two weeks. The average blood glucose level dropped 4.9% at 16 mg, while the decrease was 10.7% at 32 mg , and a drop of 31.9% was noted at 48 mg per day of corosolic acid.

How much c.acid is found in each p-slin tab? About 30mg right?

"In another study using normal rabbits, a baseline analysis of initial blood sugar in 24 hour-fasted rabbits was conducted. Following administration of corosolic acid, blood glucose was analyzed at one, two, three, four and five hours. The results indicated that a large oral dose of corosolic acid produced blood sugar reductions similar to the effects of two units of insulin."

Corosolic acid also delivers a strong antioxidant activity to scavenge free radicals and to prevent cell membrane lipid peroxidation. In addition, corosolic acid helps maintain low blood pressure and normal kidney function, by controlling blood sugar, and thus preventing damage to blood vessels and kidneys.

P-Slin has approximately 30mg Corosolic Acid in it, total. We feel we have used a proper standardization in our products; currently, other companies are utilizing a 1% extract, which would deliver approximately 1mg of Corosolic Acid. As shown by the study, at least 30mg should be used for perceptible results!

You mean 30mg total per tab/serving? or in the whole p-slin box?
How much Corosolic acid (in mg) is in every AP serving/tab?
You think it's stupid or not to use say p-slin 2-3 times /day? Or is Anabolic Pump the way to go? Whatabout increasing AP to 6 caps a day (double amount)?

Per serving. The second question, my friend, is intellectual property! ;)

Have you dosed either previously?

I agree with you...most companies that have tried to use this compound severely underdose it.

Glad to see a proper amount in a supp.

About dosage:

I ran the p-slin/Ap stack in jan-march this year, like this:

1 AP before breakfast (min. 50g carbs)
1 p-slin PreWO (with creatine+Xtend+100g Swedish real VITARGO :woohoo:)
1 AP PostWO (50g Vitargo+creatine+Xtend)
1 AP before dinner.

Its a recommended usage, but the thing is maybe i can improve the "results" of increasing the dosage?
I am very carb-sensetive.

Now, ftm i'm stocking 1 tab NOW Gymnema Sylvestre with 1g YG before every meal and workout drink. But i cant compare it with AP and pslin, not even close. AP rocks!!!!
But since i am from Sweden (the land of the Vitargo) :) its takes a while to get them...

bump on the question about double dosing AP.

I'd like to know too. While I have experienced some lovely things from AP, I feel that I could be getting more out of this product, maybe a higher dose is the answer!

Most definitely. Most of the research is done using a 1% extract name Glucosol; this same research reflects that such a low standardization has no effect on fasting blood glucose in normal patients. A 1% dosage is an extremely poor choice.
