Anyone do squats and deads on the same day? I need to play with my split and am thinking of doing deads on leg day

I used too. I liked it. I always seemed to work harder on those days. I set some of my personal prs on those days.

Every friday - squats and 3 kinds of dedz. 5x5 each usually. But I stay light as I'm really rehabbing - don't go over 315. I also usually throw in some bent rows and shrugs. I then take 2 days off from working out - sat/sun is just cardio for me.
 
If they are doing HST its likely.

My current split is 6 days: chest-arms/legs/back/repeat/off.... I do abs eod... I stopped working my shoulders cause ive got chronic issues but after taking MK677 for 3 months it's feeling great. I need to start adding shoulders to my workout. The more mass I put on my chest and traps the more my small ass shoulders are bugging me... I'm considering going

Monday and Thurs: Chest and upper back (Rows and pdowns)

Tues and Fri: Arms and shoulders

Wednesday and Sat: Legs and lower back (deads and back extensions)

I don't know if that's too much to do deads and squats same day twice a week.. think it would fry my cns? I'm worried one of the lifts would suffer.

I've made great progress on my deads the last few months and went from 315 1RM to 405... now I'm repping 315 for 6-8... I'm chasing a 500lb deadlift which my goal is to get by summer/fall.

Idk any suggestions on good splits? I've been interested in HST: Studhorse had sold me on it but I have limited gym equipment and am worried about aggravating old injuries among other things. Thoughts?
 
Jacked up my back this morning doing squats. Had 365 on and when I went down part of the bar hit the safety and bounced the left side up sending my body to the right. I stopped it, got my rep and then did 405. Freaking lower back is so inflamed right now. It's killing. Plus I'm have a sh!££y day.

That sucks.. messing up your back is the worst.. if it just feels like its muscular.. pick up one of those thermocare heat wraps .. you can keep it on for like 8 hours or someting and it really helps loosen the muscle up

that does make for a Sh it day. hope its just a little strain.
 
I know it's just a strain but Geeze it's killing me. Getting up, sitting, everything hurts. And what's worse is I can't rub it. I can't put pressure on my wrist at that angle. So I keep stopping at the doors when I walk by and use the door knob for pressure. Lol

I'm pretty sure Brandinooooo does this same thing with doorknobs, except a little lower on his body, and without any pants on

You would have to see if you could lay out an HST with the equipment you have access to.

Got to head out of work. Got to get home and hit the GYM! love Fridays hardly anyone in there! I can screw, Sing and cuss and I dont have to worry about hurting anyones feelings!

As a matter of fact, yes. I have a beer hat with two straws, so I can still lift with both hands while enjoying my icy cold PBR. That's one of the reasons I can't have abs.

I have extremely limited space and equipment. I also have injuries that prevent certain exercises (like anything overhead). So due to those constraints I end up taking whatever HST routine I find and go through and find replacements for some of the exercises. I use the BB exercise database to find alternatives. But it is definitely possible. I hope that helps!
