Eh yes and no. Its laxative effect is definitely real but I also believe it is drastically exaggerated too. Also at that dose I highly doubt anyone would have a laxative effect from it.isn't magnesium oxide a laxative?
i understand it is cheap, but there are much better forms of magnesium than oxide, imo....but if you are selling to the masses i guess they figure most will just see magnesiumEh yes and no. not exactly a stellar formula-eh?I mean, if you’re gonna pick on the mag oxide, might as well call out the subpar forms of B6, B12, Choline, etc
But yeah at that dosage, I personally wouldn’t be concerned with a laxative effect.

Arjuna is really the gold standard for heart health, 1500mg water extract (500mg 3x daily) has by far the most impressive heart health profile I've seen in any natural product. It has a few studies showing recovery from heart attacks greater than propranolol, improves lipids with slightly less efficiency than statins, one of the only things I've seen solid data reversing cardiomegaly, solid heart rate regulation, lowers a1c, just as effective as verapamil for treating angina, and doesnt promote weight gain like beta blockers or alpha modulators. Seriously I barely found the studies on this stuff, but it is the closest to a holy grail supplement I've seen. This is an incredibly solid profile

Only thing to note is its actions are completely prevented by propranolol, so good indicator not to use if on any beta blockers.

Ah now this bugs me out because we all know what happens...add a TON of fat.. lots of fiber/sugar alcohols and call it "keto"![]()
Which most use fiber that's NOT really fiber and considered a carb. They use isomalto-oligosaccharides:Usually 15g+ net carbs still![]()
But we will see. I am just going off the keto snack bars I have seen at the health food store.

They also use Maltitol which is also horrible and the worst and cheapest sugar alcohol. Was popular in the early 90s. Maltitol is still considered a carbohydrate and contains 2.1 calories per gram. Maltitol has 6g net carbs per 10 grams
ONE bars does this as do MANY others. One bars are not 10 net carbs, they are more like 20 to 23 net.
Avoid any bar (if you care about accuracy of carb and caloric intake of what you eat) that uses these 2 ingredients.
Take your blood glucose after a quest bar
Then tell me if the net carbs are accurate
You would be surprised
Unless the bar is all allulose, I don't trust many.in your experience these are pretty good for not raising blood sugar? Or way worse than expected based on label and carb content?
Not keto but it’s been my favorite bar for 6 years, super curious

I like the sour taste of the magnesium citrate drinks hahahaha
