The New Product Release Thread

Tried this last night. Picked up a box of 5 at target for 5.99. Not sure of their "normal price" but these were on sale so they came out at just over a dollar a bar, but could be more if not on sale.

I was actually really effin surprised this was as good as it was.

Nice sized bar with a pleasant texture. Satiety was great.

Great taste, and despite being a common flavor combo, had a unique taste. Resembled more of a candy bar than a protein bar. Hints of a Reese Fast break but much less peanut butter dominate and more even balance of choc and peanut butter.

I would def recommend giving them a try, especially since apparently they can be had for pretty cheap if Target is running similar sales.

Was not able to try any of the other flavors yet.

anyone else try these things?

DISGUSTING....esp that flavor, honestly one of the worst I've ever had, literally tastes like your chewing chemicals and that aftertaste....rancid. That being said...Cinnamon Roll was out of this world, such a drastic difference taste wise, etc.
Cellucor nailed that flavor...that CPB flavor though shouldn't be fed to inmates its that bad.

Grabbed a couple of the 6-bar boxes of Pure Protein bars from Walmart to have on hand for night class when I went, yesterday. Tried out the salted caramel and chocolate peanut caramel today -- both definitely an improvement on texture and taste from what I remember like 8 years ago. I can't figure out how there are 20g protein in that tiny little bar though lol. They didn't have S'mores. The only others they had were dark chocolate coconut, chewy chocolate chip, chocolate peanut butter and greek yogurt strawberry (that was only singles; the other 3 had boxes). Didn't want to roll the dice on the first purchase with how bad they used to be, but based on just those 2, I'm willing to try.

So I'd definitely recommend them for a cheap bar for anyone needing them (came to about $1.15/bar in the 6 pack box -- not shabby for 20g protein and 200 calories).

Those have collagen in them? If so, that might explain the "protein" content. It's a cheap and incomplete protein.

Just did a quick search and pulled this:

edit: just finished reading and saw "hydrolyzed collagen" listed before "protein blend"

these are the bars that have been out for awhile now. They just came out with a quest competitor as well, but I have yet to try

Yeah -- my bad on them not being new. I believe it was mkretz who mentioned them a ways back, but I had been turned off by them from whenever I used to eat them back in college (they weren't bad, but definitely not enjoyable at all). So I had written them off as I'm an adult and not a college student anymore lol. I'll shell out a little extra money to enjoy what I eat.

But I decided to grab them based on his recommendation and have to say I was impressed with the taste (especially for the low cost/bar).

I used to go ham on these as well... but they WRECKED my stomach with the sugar alcohols and then I wised up about the protein source/carb sources. Oh the good old days...

Pure Protein released these not too long ago

Think that's what they were referring to above. I've tried the CNC, Apple Pie, and CCCD. All were just average in every way. None bad, but none especially good either. Apple was probably the most interesting as it had a fairly good tart taste to it. Still not anyhting special tho

Apple pie is hard to nail, the OG quest bars were good and Simply Whey's Apple Cinnamon is as well but the macros aren't as comparable.

John Meadows Best Ever Apple Pie doe ;) them real food bars

Also I like Quests the current ones IMO are superior to all past versions including the Apple Pie

Lol might as well eat a slice of apple pie for 330 calories.

It's supposed to be a meal replacement bar tho ( on the go in emergency/rush ) apple pie won't have as much protein and would have far more sugar but I would eat both :P Who doesn't love apple pie!

Why I didn't buy them...haha

How many serving 2 scoop so 30 serving?

we would suggest 2 scoops (4g of Peak02) which the study was done on for Xtend Perform. Correct.
This is great for people who do not want to buy Xtend perform, but want the benefits of Peak02 in their peri-workout nutrition.

We have done a few studies, no need to go over 4g per day, won't improve results. Lower dosing still works but sweet spot is 4

Not that I'm aware of. I try to take it everyday. With my travel schedule (150k-180k miles a year), I use it for immune benefits. I haven't been sick in quite a while. At one point, over a 4 week period, I traveled 35k miles and was on 4 continents. Never had as much as a sniffle. First meal back in the USA, food poisoning lol.

The Solution...got the blast email on BHB Salts...this is something similar to Evo's KetoInduce correct? Very interested :)

he most popular way would be mixing two or more of the BHB+ products together. This would allow you to maximize your electrolytes with the BHB. 10g of BHB is the suggested dose. Reason being, 10g usually equals 1.0 on a Ketone Meter.

And here it is for those who asked for bulk Peak O2

Not specifically this because I've seen those same extracts available in bulk elsewhere but I'm intrigued by new releases from NP but I'm skeptical of anybody who can offer bulks that nobody else offers.

I've been funding ketone research for 5 years and I did the research on peak02 lol. :)

You've seen bulk PeakO2 elsewhere? I've seen other Cordyceps Militaris extracts, but not PeakO2, which is a blend that includes Cordyceps. On a side note, I've seen times where one company/seller has an agreement to be the only one selling a particular extract in bulk.

Any chance you do a larger tub at a cheaper price? Would love to see a 500g tub.

I understand the value of the research but I am just very particular for lack of a better word about raw ingredients, especially something like BHB

I've seen all those mushroom extracts offered individually with a supplier who has partnered with Nammex to make sure they are certified.

New nitrotech bars are great.....the birthday cake tastes like frosting wit crispies...better than the one bar, didn't think it was possible

Whoa. That's a bold statement. I've snuggled with a One bday cake bar on a cold lonely night.

Contact sales directly and I promise you'll get a better price on bulk.

In regards to BHB being new, it has been around for decades, just not scaled to large commercial application.

So have I, they have some quality extracts, but I like being able to just buy PeakO2, since it simplifies mixing them and also figuring out the dose, even if most of the benefits of PeakO2 comes from Cordyceps Militaris.

"Synergy" I suppose, my comment was partially addressed at quality skepticism.
