The New Product Release Thread

oh srs? need to get this animal one.

did you ever try ON's salter caramel? how would you rank the 3?

is the animal one thick like quest or normal consistency?

Id put Animal Salted Caramel head and shoulders above Quest, and thats no disrespect to the Quest flavor because I still really like it. Id put ON a distant third.

The Animal SC has a strong caramel flavor though, I wouldn't say its overly sweet, just the right amount, but the salted caramel flavor is strong. I love that about it. They really nailed it with the flavoring on this one.

I make all my shakes in a blender with cashew milk and ice. With that being said Animal's SC is very thick, thicker than quest. It comes out like a Wendy's frosty like consistency.

Brownie Batter is the exact same way in terms of flavoring, and thickness. To me it actually tastes like a Frosty and has hints of actually licking the spoon of brownie batter. Id say its much better than most strait chocolate flavors. I love it and I am not a chocolate protein fan usually. I cannot, however, comment on the similarity of Animal's chocolate chip flavor as some have reported because I have not tried it.

thanks man, appreciate the review.

Quest is pretty damn thick but that could just be the amount of water i mix it in. Now to find somewhere that ships animal to Aus. unfortunately Iherb dont stock the new flavours. May have to resort to *shudder* NP to try a tub.

I've tasted both salted caramel and brownie batter. They are both strongly flavored and are excellent!

No chemical, artificial taste and Animal hit the nail on the head in terms of the flavoring for both. Taste just like the actual products they're named for.

I've liked most of the Animal protein flavors I've tried. Brownie Batter is next up for me.

Went to my local VS picked up 2 Cinnamon Crunch BPI best bars. Either some of you are shilling or they changed the formula. DO NOT BUY. Hard chalky tasteless bars. One of the worst bars tasting/textured bars EVER!! Hopefully I can return the second bar. at 2.99 a bar they are overpriced cr@p. Did not even finish the first bar.

So weird, samples from the Arnold were great. mkretz bought one from VS and thought it wasn't great too.

That is a shame :( I had hoped the cinnamon would be the saving flavor for their lineup

I <3 cinnamon

My local VS has the Oh Yeah One birthday cake bars for something like $2 a bar. I think they're the best tasting protein bars I've ever had. I really like them.

well this sucks to hear. Literally just picked up all of them yest to try. Oh well, at least I got a ONE Almond Bliss bar so hopefully that lives up to expectations.
I like the One almond bar as well. The following is probably my favorite ONE bars in order so far (not sure if the names are technically correct):

Birthday Cake
Lemon Cake
Almond Bliss/Mint Chip (pretty close to me)

^^^ Solid choices there... All 3 of those are epic (Almond Bliss) have not tried the mint. I would suggest those 3 flavors as well for the OH yeah bars.
Literally an almond joy in protein bar form.
Have not tried Choc Bday Cake yet, but will probably love it because I am a chocolate fan.

I ordered the Chocolate BDay cake on eBay as its was $25 shipped, so it was cheaper in the end without tax there. It's like they combined the chocolate brownie with the regular birthday cake bar

Make the samples better for good launch numbers? That wouldn't make sense to me, but who knows.

Maybe it is a QC issue. If they are new with making bars, maybe there is a lot that is bad for one reason or another.

white chocolate Grenade rivals One bars :tongue-tied:

ONE bars are REALLY good. I actually enjoy eating them as snacks, and I'm bulking. I try to limit myself to 2 a day, haha. The birthday cake bars are like candy.

Sort of related, when I was at VS I picked up some Muscle Butter (nut butter) Birthday Cake with sprinkles, since I was in a protein birthday cake mood. It's delicious.

Creamy Chocolate S'mores Fluffbutter is also insanely good, and it's high protein comes from rice and pea protein instead of whey, which is good, since I'd rather not eat TOO much whey every day.

Sorry, they're probably not new supplements, but I had to share. I've been eating the bars and butters all night, haha.

so much this. quest is dead to me.

keen as to try almond bliss, choc mint and choc birthday cake.
LLN has almond bliss as his favorite, and if you enjoy almond joy candy bars. You will soon follow that statement.

Try a grenade bar, you'll soon change your mind.
Tried a fit crunch birthday cake and that was lovely, still prefer cookies and peanut.
How do one bars stack up against their low carb bar?

Grenade is downright amazing. The Chocolate Cream is a milkyway in protein bar form. Caramel Chaos is similar but with krispies coated on top. Flavoring is top notch. These do not destroy my stomach like quest bars do. Instantly after I eat a quest bar my stomach bloats in seconds. Grenade and OH Yeah settle very easy.

disappointed to hear...I got one yesterday at my local VS. Soft as fawk with crunchy graham cracker bits inside. thanks for feedback though :/

This is why bars are such a pain. When they're fresh, they're all amazing. When they get 6 months out, they turn into turds. Bars will do well as long as they're fresh. Once they aren't, massive market retraction.

Firstly it does look like Alpha Pro has gone with the usual amount of protein per serving with 25g. We also know that there are 54 servings in each tub of the product, although that is only based on the tub in the picture which could be the brand’s only size or one of many. The last little detail we have is that Alpha Pro Whey promotes the highlight “6 grass-fed sources”, suggesting that it has six different grass-fed sources of whey protein.

Not had their protein or anything but been using their Vex pre workout between 1,3 and AMP cit pre's haha it is a pretty good very high stim pre workout.

My thoughts on the rest tho

This idea of "Grass Fed" whey tho is bs marketing it is not superior it does not get the same benefits or differences as Grass-Fed Finished Meats in meat form like a Steak for example there won't be any differences in the Grass Fed Whey vs any other since it is a processed product and all the bad **** is simply removed in the process of forming the whey.

I largely feel companies are trying to scare people and than market to that fearful segment with a premium price tag of course

BPI, shilling. These two terms should generally go in the same sentence as opposed to two.

Performax Labs has just passed on a few more details for its all new version of HyperMax XT, which was confirmed a week or so ago in a shot of the entire Performax line up. We haven’t unfortunately been given a full label for the reformulated pre-workout, however the description released does highlight a lot of its changes. By the sounds of things we are in for quite a different supplement as the serving size alone is more than 50% heavier.

In the words of Performax, the new HyperMax XT is only carrying over some of its predecessor’s ingredients. While that doesn’t give us an exact number we feel “some” suggests around half, which would mean it’s kept somewhere in the area of six features. The brand has also said that eria jarensis extract is one of those consistent ingredients that is still the main stimulant in the pre-workout, but has had its dose almost doubled.
The last few details we have are that Performax has added a trademarked ingredient to HyperMax XT, although it hasn’t given any hints as to what it could be. Also as mentioned earlier the product’s serving size has been increased by quite a bit with its exact weight being 14g, a whole 5.8g heavier than the current HyperMax XT’s 8.2g.

While we are still missing a lot of information for Performax Labs’ new HyperMax XT, it doesn’t look like we’re going to be waiting too much longer for the rest. The brand is in fact planning on dropping everything you need to know about the reformulated pre-workout in one to two weeks time.

Yohimbe free would be nice.

I'm too new to post links or images.

New supplement company, GHOST nutrition. Launching 6-1-16

Making a little buzz

Curious to see what they bring to the table.

I'm sure we will have sample packs at some point. If you don't want to wait for those to be produced, I'm sure one of us could send you a sample in baggie lol.

My wife cracks up when I get sample baggies in the mail. Of course the Columbian return address doesn't help :D

Do people buy fat burners any more? If so, what are people buying? I haven't looked at this category in forever.

Grass fed whey isn't being sold as being better per se, but an emotional buy for those that want to support that type of farming. Yes, some will consider it "better", but it's more a passion buy. BTW, in raw form, tastes TOTALLY different. It's also considerably more expensive.

AFAIK, fat burners are a huge market.
There are endless threads here about them.

They are used for energy, appetite supression, increase metabolism, attack stubborn areas etc.
They may have adrenergic antagonists to stimulate lipolysis, AMPK activators to regulate metabolic function, BAT activators to stimulate thermogenesis, may target the thyroid hormone to increase energy expenditure and burn fat and activate PPARs which may stimulate your metabolism and inhibit adipogenesis.

The most commented here, IMO, are the PES stuff (Alphamine, Norcodrene, Shift), Evomuse (Brite, Epitome, Ammo, Abliterated, Eviscerate), Olympus Labs (Ignit3) and Performax (Oxymax XT). High Tech also has some good stuff (I'm using Lipodrene and it rocks pretty hard).

One ingredient I'm quite fond of is Alpha-Y for the loss of fat in stubborn areas, specially in high dose. I always add 3-6mg (Target-A2) on top of any fat burner, even if it contains it.
