Quest Nutrition Mocha Chocolate Chip Protein Bar Review

Taste

Mocha Chocolate Chip

If you have tried double chocolate chunk from quest, imagine eating that bar dunked in coffee. From opening the wrapper the aroma of coffee is very strong. The first bite was nothing short of heaven for those who are love coffee or mocha flavored products. The amount of chocolate chips I got in my bar was pretty typical. You get a good 3-4 large chunks and several smaller pieces throughout the bar. Granted some bars I have had have been 50% chocolate chips and 50% protein bar. Overall I would rank this up towards the top, and easily into my top 5 flavors. If you are not a huge coffee fan this may not be a top priority to run out and try and get (since it is new to quest labs). Personally I do not go a day without coffee, get me a coffee protein bar and I am sold. Not to mention the flavoring is on point. Think about a New Orleans light roasted cold brew flavored double chocolate chunk bar. That is exactly what this new flavor tastes like.

Texture

Out of the wrapper you can notice the bar has the usual quest bar texture with the added flakiness from the chocolate chips included inside and outside of the bar. Since quest moved back to the OG Formulation the bar is much softer then the previous corn syrup model. Not to mention these digest much easier and are not hard as rocks.

Formula

6g Fat
24g Carbs
20g Protein
14g Fiber

Quest has recently went back to the old formula which settles much easier and produces a softer bar. Not only has this pleased a large portion of the quest community, but the general supplement consumer as a whole. It makes them digest easier (for myself) and many others. This is also an all-natural bar from Quest Nutrition which may appeal to a larger portion of fans out there.

Cost

Quest retails for about 24$ making it right around 2$ a bar. If you were to buy a single bar off the main quest website it would be around 2.39$ per bar. Buying in bulk saves you around 40 cents a bar, but all in all if on sale its pretty cost effective for 12 bars for around 20$. When you factor in flavor, and factor in good calories for less than 200 calories a bar it's a pretty nice convenient investment.

Quest Rankings

1. Blueberry Muffin
2. Cookies & Cream
3. Mocha Chocolate Chip
4. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
5. Apple Pie
6. Double Chocolate Chunk
7. Chocolate Brownie
8. S’mores
9. Chocolate PB
10. Cinnamon Roll

Still need to try Blueberry muffin but ur review has convinced me I need to give this a go as well

I wouldn't buy a laxo product to specifically to use ever, I do not see the value in it at all.

Even PA was lulz Laxo.. useless just sayin

Ditto. I don't go out of my way to the 3 letter store in town and we have no VS here, so I look at WalMart since they sell single bars, but nada.

Lockout just added the box of 12, and normally I like to sample a bar before going all in, but I may just do it based on all the reviews.

I went to the ol G to pick one up... With all the hype I expected a letdown, or at best an "eh" but holy hell these are so far and away the best they've ever made. Like not even close. if the next best flavor (IMO smores or cnc is an 8/10, these are a 12+). whole blueberries throughout, chunks of cobbler... just unreal.

Just got 1 bar each of Oatmeal Choc Chip and Blueberry Muffin. Still too skeptical to commit to a whole box of Quest bars but we'll see if these can change my opinion

Okay, I'm going to go ahead and roll with a box of 12 then. I've heard enough positive reviews that I want to go all in.

Plus, I've eaten some pretty terrible bars in my time, so even if I for some reason have different taste buds than all of you, I'll curse your names while I eat them lol ;)

I've never ordered a box of 12 of one flavour, of any bar.

It's variety packs or I'll buy singles for me. I don't eat enough to buy them in bulk

The blueberry is worth it
It's on point same with the mocha if you are a Coffee lover

I'm just gonna take a minute to mention the Quest Cookie Dough bar: phenomenal but doesn't seem to get mentioned much.

The brownie ones are not very good, though...

I really like Quest bars if you heat them up a bit. You can't alway do that when you're on the go, but it's a nice treat when you can IMO.

I agree. It has to be ran at a high dose and even though, the only thing I noticed was an increase in recovery. Not enough to justify the cost either. There are plenty of products that work better, IMO, and are at a better price point. If stacked, I think it could be a decent addition, but I would probably look elsewhere.

lol people think they can just add it to anything and that it'll magically fix any issues an ingredient has

Bioperine is in everything these days.....it's sort of sad because honestly, half the stuff that has Bioperine added to it I truly believe it does nothing (for certain compounds)

I have to disagree here. I have personally done a lot of background research into Laxogenin. There may be a lot of company's trying to cash in on the potential and do not produce an effective product. However, I have used one with a absorption enhancer (not bioperine) that was effective. I know of several others who share that experience.

Can you PM me the product name? I would like to give it another go, but my first two experiences have been par. I just don't want to start a Laxo brand war, which is why I'm requesting a PM

*40g of carbs 6g of fiber for every double scoop.

i actually like the look of that profile hey, i mean i doubt ill buy it, but still it looks quiet nice.

Said it before but apparently folks haven't taken me up on it. Nuke Quest bars for longer...45 seconds or so...

You'll think that you've f*****d up, but if you let it cool down and harden for like 2-3 minutes after the result is harder chewy cookie. My favorite way to consume these things.

this is how I eat them 99% of the time... 30s, smash it into a big flat cookie, another 15-20sec, freezer for a minute... its a giant cookie.

Or you can make the second session a bit longer (30s or so) and itll get hard and cruchy... makes an unreal ice cream topping

What background research? Other than logs there isn't anything recent that I know of that shows it's worth much.

You cant be ceral? He is talking about OLs str3ngth.

I could be wrong but it makes since for a few reasons. 1 its one of two laxo products that use absorption enhancer that isnt bioprine(that i know of). 2 and he is an OL rep.

Now hime being a rep should not discredit what he said though.

The person who can send me a study where Laxogenin boost MPS 200% (as advertised), I will personaly send some cash with paypal.

The main problem with laxogenin is the false claims and marketing.

I've only ever bought a box of fitcrunch but that's bc my Gf was running through them like there was no tomorrow. I don't really eat many protein bars these days though

I know who I would not want to be today, the supplement company hit with a 130 MILLION dollar lawsuit last week :O

Glad to hear someone else is #aware as well. Only way I eat these bars...the chewy cookie consistency not only improves texture but actually makes the experience of eating them last more than 5 seconds.

Big bullies in the industry sometimes

But we do need someone pushing

I went looking but couldn't find anything except for this Invalid Link Removedhopefully this means more nitrates in upcoming products
