The epic food porn thread

I am not really into fudge but this may be the best thing I've ever tasted.

Pumpkin praline pecan fudge

when pumpkin is involved, the product itself is irrelevant ha

That a boy GNO. Going hard like a champ. All about that moderation!
Hitting columbus soon. You know what that means..... Paulie Gee's pizza and Graeter's :)

both are awesome, highly recommend. The "keep caramel and cookie on" might have just tied cinnamon buns for my favorite flavor...still waiting to try "blondie ambition" though, everyone has been sold out.

That is the worst B&J Flavor ever made.
Nothing tops PB World , Chubby Hubs, CInnamon buns, And Milk & Cookies.. GOAT of B&J

Little G's Magic Bar
Grade: B-

"coconut ice cream with butterscotch chips, graham cracker crumbs, mini chocolate chips and magic bar chunks."

Invalid Link Removed

Little G's nails the coconut flavoring in her base. For anyone who truly enjoys coconut you will want to make sure this base does not get changed in the future because its stellar. The sheer amount of coconut flavoring is not overpowering, but it is just right to help let the mix-ins still shine and provide their part of the picture when you grade all aspects of the pint.

The mini chocolate chips as featured in go bananas, cookie butter crunch, and a few other flavors are self explanatory. These are mini milk chocolate chips that help enhance the magic bar feature. The same can be said about the butterscotch chips to give this a dual flavored candy vibe. The graham cracker chunks were crunchy and were small chunks consistent from top to bottom in my experience. The magic bar chunks were virtually a combo of everything provided in this pint, but much larger in size. I got some chunks that were the size of Graeter's signature chocolate chips up to 1/2" in size.

Blondie ambition is terrible. Epic disappointment

Think you combined cinnamon buns and pb world ha^

Both great tho and should be on the list ;)

Wow thanks for the heads up I won't waste time. Yeah, Cinnamon Buns is my definite all time fav but this new Keep Caramel and Cookie On are easily up in number 2 and brownie cheesecake rounding out my top 3.

I thought Urban Bourbon was gross and that was the disappointment for me and pretty much any flavor that is mostly chocolate. Though I did like PB World. If anyone ever grew up with a "Friendly's" restaurant chain, they had the best resees PB cub ice cream version I've ever had, but I think they may have gone out of business.

I personally still think for the most part B & J are still the best brand if buying in a grocery store (not like a cold stone type or ice cream shop).

Bold = Gross. was not a fan of cheesecake at all.
The problem with B&J is their best flavors are in the graveyard (Oatmeal Cookie Chunk, PB & J, Dublin Mudslide, PB Half Baked, PB Brownie Sundae, and Candy Bar Pie) Coconut 7 layer bar can only be found in scoop shops which is a very good flavor
Graeter's > B&J For grocery IMO.
Talenti has some decent flavors (only a select few)
If you love swirls Turkey Hill is very good.
Wegmans has 3 solid picks (Nutter Batter, S'mores, and Banana Peel N)

coconut 7 layer is in the dairy-free section... not gone.

Your talking about the dairy free.
I am talking the REGULAR coconut 7 layer (Scoop shop only)
Major difference.
B&J has a select amount of flavors only available if you visit a scoop shop, they will never reach grocery stores.

if you havent had the dairy-free, its just as good.

I personally found a difference in texture (as all vegan ice creams will be denser) and quality from a vegan ice cream to a regular ice cream especially with the removing of the dairy.
But it is their best vegan ice cream they offer.

Unfortunately not many of those brands in Cali, we do have Graeters, but pumpkin pie only.

Beleive it or not there is a Walgreens brand Cookie Butter Ice Cream that is awesome, and better than the Tj's version. My favorite is straight cake batter flavor from Cold Stone with a bunch of white cake mix ins, im a simple basic b lol

Hagen Daaz had a pralines and cream that used be unreal but I haven't seen it anywhere in like 2 years.

you got a guess?

Im guessing Egg Nog or maybe another Pie flavor. Maybe Nutella?

I'm thinking it wouldn't be seasonal since they'd wanna capitalize on people who actually want those types.

Prob something real random like banana or something

HD Pralines and cream is the biggest sleeper on their line. Too bad they DC'd PB Pie which was their best flavor.
TJ's Cookie butter ice cream sucks, so that doesn't surprise me. Steve's tried to do a cookie butter and that was weak as well.

If you like Pumpkin ... Coldstone's pumpkin is one of the best you can get on the ice cream market. Handel's still tops it, Clementines will be dropping their pumpkin this weekend so I hope to be picking some up to compare to my list of pumpkin ice creams.

Also do not get Graeter's pumpkin it is their worst flavor.

How far are you from a Salt & Straw scoop shop? Your in cali you better get your ass there!!!

Basically Fruit Crisp Center with a chocolate shell. Literally IDENTICAL cream filling of fruity crisp.

Yup, but they should be available at almost all stores.
Literally the same filling as fruity crisp. The golden shell worked much better with that filling, (a graham would of been interesting), chocolate is just not the best choice

the salted caramel thins (just tried for 1st time)1 are my new favorite...second always to OG double stuff of course.

Salt & Straw Petunia’s Peach Crumble Bars

We chop up freshly baked peach crumble bars filled with jammy stone fruit goodness and stir them by the handful into an impossibly delicious lightly spiced coconut ice cream streaked with caramel ribbons that’s every bit as indulgent as our signature ice cream recipe"

Vegan flavors are very dense in nature, but yet somehow Salt & Straw finds a way to keep the ice cream creamy and very rich in taste. These vegan flavors will need an extra 5-10 minutes minimum to temper then a usual S&S Flavor. With that said the quality and amount of flavor does not disappoint. Being a guy that does not enjoy a strong coconut flavor the amount is subtle and manageable

From first bite the sides were laced with caramel swirl, and bars were present on the surface of the ice cream. The swirl blisters your taste buds with a strong caramel flavor that packs a luscious aftertaste. The overall richness, sweetness, and taste is one of the best caramel's I have ever had. It almost made me think of 2nd Street's Copper Kettle Caramel which was one of my all time favorites. the crumble bars were scattered throughout the pint, and were massive in size. Some bars were around 1/2" thick in size and have a soft, chewy, and moist texture to them. The jam filled bars give you a nice surprise as the outside melts in your mouth and the filling is like icing on the cake.

I forgot how solid the Pumpkin Spice Fudge Stripes are. They don't change the world, but they might be my favorite seasonal cookies. I swear I can taste the nutmeg and ginger in there. Nothing artificial and it works with the white chocolate icing. I haven't tried any of the other Fudge Stripes except the original so I can't speak to them, but don't sleep on the Pumpkin Spice.

I also got the Mystery Oreos. These things are BOLD. The Fruity Pebbles flavor and the chocolate slam into each other, but the collision is kind of wonderful. I admit I've never had something like them. They are so fruity and so chocolate-y at the same time. I probably couldn't eat more than two or three in one sitting, but they're worth getting IMO. That being said, the golden cookie would undoubtedly work better. I never had the Fruity Crisp limited edition Oreos, but I imagine it had to be very similar to this, minus the chocolate.

Fruity Crisp were better. the Golden shell worked much better with the center. Chocolate was not the right choice. I mean Chocolate Fruity Pebbles // Trix just is off. Not the best combination. I am just a sucker for that cream filling cause of my sweet tooth

Plus the little fruity pebble pieces were GOAT

I wonder why they didn't even put the fruity crisps in the cream. If they were going for the "mystery" thing, they should have made it all white. So then you'd be like "What is this all white cookie? Wait, is that chocolate... And Fruity cereal?"

Those Pumpkin Spice Salted Caramels! Woo!

So far I've tried the pepita cookies (very good, nice and thin/crispy/buttery) and the actual seeds (much better than last year when they were just dusted with spice, this years are actually a toffee like coating)

Bob what did you think of these when they came out? Invalid Link Removed

1) Fruity Crisp 2) PB Cup and 3) Cinnamon Roll are my top tier flavors.
Oreo doesn't have plans of re-releasing them as they are gonna market for Chocolate Hazelnut, and the Hot & Spicy Cinnamon flavors + 3 others in early 2018.
