The epic food porn thread

Anyone on here live in the dallas/ frisco/ prosper area of TX? I'm headed there tonight. Need to find a legit cheat for tomorrow.

Dount Kraze in Buffalo:

Lemon Honey Chicken & Pork Fried EggRoll:

You got a recipe for that chicken and egg roll? That looks tasty as fuuurk

On vacation in TX stopped in Hutchins bbq today. World famous- might be the best I've had

Ate 8; 1/2lb servings of different meats alone. Not to mention the incredible cobbler

Must get the all you can eat for 18.99
Smoked chicken
Brisket
Chopped brisket
Smoked chicken
Smoked turkey
Pulled pork
Pork ribs
Jalepeno sausage

All amazing

Only got one pic Invalid Link Removed

That was plate one-
Smoked chicken, chopped brisket, and pulled pork

I was hoping for real strawberry. The blueberry ones are 9/10 at worst though...staple cereal worthy.

Picked up a box of the blueberry tonight. Looking forward to devouring it based on what I've read in here

Great comparison. Will be skipping for sure.

Simple, but could be good. I love anything cheesecake, so I'm a little bias.

I just wish they would use honey braided twists instead of regular pretzel sticks. My wife makes this cream cheese chocolate chip dip to eat with honey braided twists and it is amazing

Was hungry today as lunch was approaching and just decided to head over to Wendy's for the hell of it. Got two spicy chicken sandwiches and a fry. It was leg day earlier this morning so I enjoyed that meal.

Did you get them or just reporting?

Reviews have been bad so far.

Reporting, but figured I was late since I haven't been around and couldn't spend a day going through the thread lol.

I think they are only in Southern California now, but had a friend tell me she thought they were decent.

One of the best pints of ice cream I had in a long time...

S&S Delivered on this one

Salt & Straw Salted Caramel Cupcake

There is not too much else to say about this pint but it was epic from start to finish. If you love cupcakes you will be upset you missed out on this experience. The base is good, but its hard to really gauge due to how many mix-ins you really get. The frosting and cupcake chunks really pack a thick buttercream and chocolate flavor to the sweet cream base. Not only do you get mix-ins packed to the brim and your very last bite, you virtually eat a few of them in a pint of ice cream. For someone who has a vicious sweet tooth I was in heaven.

I would call them to pre-order to ensure you get what you want. I would go with...

Chocolate Cookie Butter
Cinnamon Toast Crunch
Elvis Donut
Maple Bacon Fudge
Hershey Chocolate Cinnamon Roll
Peanut Butter Sticky Apple
Girl Scout Tagalong
Oatmeal Cream Pie
Apple Fritter
Blueberry Fritter
Lucky Charms
FlufferButter

I would pass on Reeses and candy bar donuts in general since so many places make them even though I am sure they will be great. Mkretz may know first hand.

No way in hell i am giving up the Cookies Cream Fluff: I absolutely love cookies and cream

I really want to get a fritter, but Buckeye Apple Fritter was kinda meh compared to a gourmet donut.

OK get the cookies lol, just seems basic to me. Although I got one like that from Donut Kraze in Buffalo and was fkn Epic!

But don't dare compare a legit shop to Buckeye - apples and oranges Brah ;)

I had great fritter in Buffalo and Spring, TX (gourmet shop) so you never know. Get one fritter at least I say.

Now that is "Food Porn" at it's best !!

Agreed. I love Coconut so I might get the Mounds too.

You should post the other stuff you got in Chicago :)

Too many pics, so it's a PITA but I'll prob just copy-pasta the stuff from the other board.

Indy Burger Week was strong tho:

Invalid Link Removed

Wagyu Burger: topped with sauteed onion, mushroom, gruyere cheese, Applewood Bacon, Dijon on Brioche Bun.

Have had burgers from Pat Lafrieda and dry aged ones from fairly well known places, but this Wagyu effort was up there. Highly suggest this upgrade to your patty game gents: incredibly juicy and flavorful from the superior marbling.

Invalid Link Removed

Peanut Butter & Jealousy Burger: Topped with peanut butter, jelly, crispy bacon, cole slaw & Sriracha hot sauce on a soft pretzel bun.

PB&J burgers will always be great, but the crunch from the crispy bacon and slaw were a nice texture contrast. Pretzel bun balanced sweetness.

From the same place...even better:

Invalid Link Removed

Jam’n Burger: Topped with bourbon-bacon jam, smoked Gouda cheese, dijon mustard sauce & fried egg on a soft pretzel bun. Tomato, lettuce and onion under the 8 oz patty.

Toppings in the first sentence were a beautiful harmony of flavors and the others didn't get in the way.

Now that is a Burger !!! Looks Amazing !!

This weekend I've finally gotten to try a bunch of the LE stuff others have...

Orange crush pop tarts- not good. Not sweet, awkwardly tangy. Just not a good combo.

Rootbeer pop tarts- exactly what you'd expect. They taste just like a root beer candy/drink/cookie. Decent, but not worth the buy unless you're and root beer fanatic.

Key lime oreos- no upgrade from og. The creme is great, nice and tart, very well done. The graham cookie still tastes like nothing special. Better cookie would make these significantly better. Worth the buy tho even still.

Fruity crisp Oreos-

GOAT. Holy hell. These are incredible. Spot on fruity pebbles and milk/creme. Easily have stolen the #1 spot on my Oreo flavor list. I will be stocking these for the apocalypse.

Told you
Gave these a 10/10 myself.
Legit cereal milk from fruity pebbles as the filling.

pop tarts?? I think you meant oreos, but why don't these exist Lol

I love root beer so may take a chance on those pop tarts. Orange got better reviews though, hmmm.

Honestly wouldn't bother with the orange. I didn't even really like them.

I was thinking about this earlier... Why doesn't pop tarts just copy all the new prep flavors, bwt a lot would be great

As an act of public service, I'll be taking you fellas on a trip through the best hits of a criminally underrated series of establishments known as DiBella's Subs.

Today - for lunch - my staple (14 inch):

Invalid Link Removed

Dagwood: Turkey, ham, corned beef. My cheese of choice, American, spread of choice, Spicy mustard, and selected toppings being tomato, lettuce, roasted red bell peppers, cucumbers. You can order these hot or cold. I go hot so the meats get grilled along with extra peppers and onions (my choice) and the cheese is thrown on top at the end for melting.

Invalid Link Removed

Ingredients are top notch and this is some of the best sub bread you'll ever have. No lie. The cookies? Subway level times 100. Chewy, dense, and full of chocolate (+ walnuts in mine). All comes in at $9.30 and drink + cookie (or chips) are thrown in for free (due to always available coupons).

A good Steak Sub is hard to beat !!

Good review. I have a DiBella's in my town, but on the other side of town. Next time I want a sandwich, I'll have to check it out. This is the first time I hav seen feedback.

This could be one of the best ice creams to be released if Graeter's nailed it.
If you ever seen their signature chocolate chips they are no joke. Their vanilla theme based are also very very good. I hope i get to try this in a few weeks if it is still in stock
