The epic food porn thread

They're 99 cents each, and there is 14g protein in it

I wouldn't say its a cost issue as more of an access issue for some like me.
I think there is more carbs than a plain fat free so would rather get it from fresh fruit.

My problem wthe TJ's grk yog is simply that its plain GY with PB and Jelly added... Just a big calorie bomb for extra $. YOu could make it yourself for cheap, or make it yourself with less cals AND cheaper... just a poor concept.

I find flavoured yougurts a waste when you could make a pretty good version with plain Greek yogurt + PB lean/protein powder + fruit and/or cereal

^^^ Great minds...
If i visit a TJ's ill grab one, but the reviews have not been great from impulsive buy or others i know (a guy who works there did not enjoy it much) or other food bloggers.

I like the Dannon Light and Fit Greek Yogurts. I only go through 2 a week and buy them when they are on sale and when I have a coupon. They come out to be about 40 cents each in that situation. Otherwise, I pass.

Hot rocks steak. Comes out totally raw on a 750deg stone slab and you cook it as you want. It was amazing.

Thats because you did not take my suggestion on the S'mores Cheesecake at Cheesecake factory where they torch the marshmallow right at your table with a blow torch. :)

The regular lemon oreos (they are made with golden oreos and available year round here in Ohio) aren't bad. But I don't know about the lemon/chocolate. I'm with Bob though...s'mores can't drop soon enough

Actually I did :) got the kobe beef and the s'mores cheesecake and I posted a pic on AM.

Forgot about that in my post above, but it was the best! They didn't torch the marshmallow at my table though :(

Must of been someone else then (i think bb.com) Where the guy got a snickers or reese one which are still good but the S"mores is damn good.
They probably torched behind the counter then. i watched them do it

Went to an awesome Belgian restaurant tonight that had some cool stuff. I had a sub machine gun sub on a toasted baguette- had prime rib, Swiss, French fries lettuce and tomatoes with a truffle sauce. My wife got the truffle burger made from ground filet mignon with truffle mayo.

Best of all was the dessert sampler- an assortment crafted by the owners mother who makes all of the desserts daily:

Belgian chocolate mousse, Belgian waffles with specaloos cookie ice cream on top, and lastly (my favorite by far) was a specaloos cookie dough tiramisu that was out of this world (imagine a soft baked shortbread cookie with a cookiebutter-ish glaze and filling)

I was glorious. It was actually only $9.50.. That being said the main courses were like $15 so not a base date night

Doesn't look like a big portion, but would def pay $10 for it, love Speculous/cookie butter

Impulsive buy indicated it was found at Fortino's which are around Hamilton. I wish they specified which specific store :(

I can't wait to read your review. I'm interested in these.

If it wasn't already obvious, the concept is two graham flavoured oreo cookies between marshmallow and chocolate cream.
I ate one straight up to get the flavour of all in one bite and a second one I separated to get the flavour of each part on it's own.

The graham cookie flavour is weaker than I hoped it would be and could mistake it for a golden Oreo cookie when eating in one bite. The chocolate crème is no different than regular while the marshmallow s like a creamier vanilla which is the best part! But, together it all works great together. I want to crush this up on a porch vanilla or chocolate ice cream.

Final verdict: 8.5/10 Best Oreo I've tried! However, I've only had the original and golden flavours lol (edit: tried Reese's is a 9/10). I'll probably go back to get more this weekend :)

Then you need to!

Follow-up review....

Reese Oreo's: Strong PB creme taste is hnnngggg! PB Crème is better than vanilla/chocolate crème in s'mores but graham cookie is better than the chocolate imo
Overall slight edge to Reese Oreo's.
