The epic food porn thread

I knew I shouldn't have read this forum right now. I am so tempted to go in the kitchen and make some of those pancakes. I've never made them with protein powder before

Go look at my or Bob's Instagram and you won't resist the urge to bake with protein

I've seen Bob's. He makes some great things. You're doing well yourself. Wait, let me try something, "hunny, get out of bed and make me some scope style pancakes. Please." Hmmm...no response:)

Oh, I shouldn't have done that either. You have some good looking stuff there Driven

Bob is much better at presentation, lol. And I work with a lot less carbs typically, but I am addicted

Went for some Greek yogurt and G8. The G8 to make me go to sleep and not think about food anymore

I'm going to make some of those pancakes today. They are stuck on my brain

Just remember, different powders will need more or less wet.

Casein needs a lot more than whey and a blend is somewhere in the middle.

Casein should not be used for rising agents, more cheesecake, binding, puddings etc.. Casein is the last thing you want for a pancake, waffle, or like a muffin.

Not saying flour doesn't help but its not needed either.

It helps as far as rising and making a better finished product with moisture/texture compared to a non-flour product. Without it may come out very dry if proper wet/dry is not used. (Flourless) which is usually the major mistake people make using those 3 ingredients and dont realize the wet/dry ratio and how important it is.

Yeah my mix is wetter than normal so I'm able to make a lighter/fluffier no flour pancake. To thick and they come out dense and dry. Still good but not what I'd want all the time.

My first attempt at protein pancakes

This one is good. Tried it last weekend. Mix with Blondie or chocolate protein powder and yogurt for a damn good combo. Going to try mixing it with Snickerdoodle tomorrow.

My GF got me a old school cast iron waffle maker some I'm going to get that seasoned before tomorrow night.
It's going to make some nice thinish crunchy waffles perfect for using as bread/buns.

Love my huge Belgian waffles, but using protein waffles as buns has looked good in pictures here

My waffle maker makes those.
Been craving this style for a while now.

I'm thinking it'll work well with the no flour pancakes.

You need to try Puffins if you want to buy organic cereal.

Money will agree.
Not after organic it's just what Costco carries that's also GF other than the few regular cereals they carry. Gluten cereal really seems to mess up my gut.
Money isn't an issue when you shop at Costco. Double bag box for the same or less as a single bag box at a regular store.

PB choc are good
A little dry
I want to say Costco has a cinnamon puffins and maybe an orginal.
I look at the cinnamon one every week but I've been bummed out a few times with cleaner cereals especially ones I'm hopeing will taste like Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

A guy came into work today and brought in this Reaper Hot Sauce he got from Canada
asked me if i would like to try it because i told him it looked interested
i said sure ill give it a shot, ill put it in a cup and give it a shot
guy then asked me "if you can handle a shot of reaper hot sauce i would bet you 5$ you wont be able to handle it"
Took him on the offer, sat there and did not even flinch 5 minutes after i took it

guy walked out just shaking his head like wtf?
Said he got it up in Canada and is like 15$ for the bottle (Crazy expensive)

hot sauce fans may like this.. taste was very good and packed a punch

@ Scope
It wont taste like CTC being organic, your comparing apples to oranges, may as well just buy the GOAT in CTC

Really???? Lol

I know this and I'm just HOPEING (key word) it'll taste something like CTC.

CTC rips up my gut. Yeah I still eat it just not that often.

Might just need to figure out a way to door up some other cereal to taste more like CTC.

Buy the real stuff and suck it up!

Did you not read that I still eat it??
A little discomfort is worth the taste.

Nothing to do with sucking it up its holding SH!T back. Lol

I did read it, thats why i said gonna have to "suck it up" so you can handle it because do eat it, even though you do not tolerate it well.
