The epic food porn thread

Don't know if I would use that on popcorn. Oatmeal, cottage cheese, greek yogurt, protein powder...yes please!
I was def thinking greek yogurt too. Cccd yogurt would be amazing. Oats too. Hell all your suggestions are good ha. I eat cottage chz with protein powder every night ha

Lately I've been doing cottage cheese mixed with whey, raspberries, and cereal. Cottage cheese was on sale so I picked up a few tubs.

As I moved down the pint the Caramel Swirl really picked up, and started to resemble that of a core series from Ben & Jerry's because of how dense it stuck in the middle of the pint instead of being dispersed. Even labeled a caramel sauce it seemed to bind pretty much right around the center, and left a few streaks around the lower levels of the pint. The Caramel which was on the lighter side but had a great salty kind of compliment to it made a good sweet and salty combo that was delicious. The Toffee Chocolate Pieces were all over the place, a bit on the smaller side but provided a good crunch and a nice milk chocolate taste to the mixture of Caramel and Chocolate. Overall this was not a bad selection for 230 calories a serving, it had everything the pint labeled, and provided a great pack of flavor and mix-ins.

Score: B-

You brought up you should never eat 1000 kcals of ice cream. So eating 1500 kcals of a chinese, or 2,000 kcals of a pizza take out would be better? Well duh that would be more satisfying because its far excessive in kcals." . Why not get both and eat them both on your cheat meal then? Since it is moderation and it is one of your meals for the week again your not competing, if you decide to eat both is it going to harm you not at all. There is still no logical reason to avoid full fat or legit ice cream when in essence there are still good sources of micronutrients and vitamins in it.

Craving food or having a dessert does not make it not a "Cheat" that is just your out look on a cheat meal, but if you rather spend 25$ for 5 pints of artic zero comped to 3-4$ for real life ice cream (Same caloric amount) then hey man throw your money down the toilet on stuff that has 40-60% False label claims than it really states .. Thats on you. I would rather pay for the good stuff, stuff that tastes good, then get fake stuff in a pint that has unethical business practice.

The last 14 weeks I have eaten a full pint of ice cream on top of any meal i want or any entree and the difference has been 3 pounds...
it really is killing me...

I think you will be fine to have a bit of both on a cheat meal, and open up your eating habits buddy.. You do not need to shelter yourself to low kcal artificial sweeteners and avoid real food.

Ill continue to enjoy my pint of ice cream and an entree or cheat meal of choice every week and continue to see good gains :)

Per this: I'd just like to add that you can also do low fat ice cream and you get the same psychological effect.

For example, Edy's Slow Churned is kind of hit or miss. Sometimes the flavors are a little too artificial for my taste, but the Cookies and Cream is on point. And at 2.5grams of fat per serving and 13 grams of sugar, you can have 3-4 servings and not feel like sh!t. Plus its lighter than most c&c flavors and so it doesn't leave you with that bloated, I'm-going-to-puke-on-the-cat feeling.

Ditto! The Edy's slow churned line is amazing IMO! The caramel swirl is amazing!

Come home from work to see this in a massive Box

Low fat ice cream is no where near identical taste to the real stuff like Jeni's, 2nd Street, Graeters, Gelato Fiasco etc
that is like comparing taco bell to authetic mexican

Not even CLOSE lol.. Hence the artifical extra's added to low fat stuff

Can't find it anywhere here :(

Settled for BnJ's cookie dough, for my next refeed.

Need to track down something good for my birthday

What retailers carry that Edy's slow churned?

I don't think its in Canada but I am Stateside Saturday

Low fat ice cream = Meh... Grab the real stuff on your birthday. One time having a full pint wont kill ya :)

Oh I know, just wanted to try that out, I saw they have a cookie dough. My addiction.

I have no idea which to grab for my bday.

A really good cookie dough or chocolate with brownie.

I like soft mix-ins over things like chocolate chips/nuts/candies

Cookie Dough ---> 2nd Street Cookie Dough
, Graeters Buckeye Blitz or Chocolate chip Cookie Dough
BnJ's Half Baked or CCCD (kinda meh)
Three Twins Cookie Dough

Chocolate with Brownie:

2nd Street Tons of Brownies
Greaters Salted Caramel Fudge Brownie (Scoop Shop Only)
BnJ NY Fudge Chunk
Go to Coldstone and make your own mix-in with a brownie (Suggest Pumpkin Limited + Brownies + Graham Cracker + Caramel)

There are not a lot of great cookie doughs out there

Saved, will try them all once I can find them thanks Bob

I have not had Haagen Dazs Cookie Dough, but not a big fan of theirs TBH, its ok.. not the best though.

Their gelato line is good in my books, although I don't have a tenth the experience you do lol

Picked up some turkey hill pumpkin pie. Stuff is amazing. The graham swirl in it has the best texture and sweetness of anything I've tried.

I agree
TH does Swirls right... as does 2nd street even for a pint it is as massive as TH in quart form. TH base is decent, its nothing to rave over. If they could match a Jeni's base it would be the best ice cream in the world. and believe me i eat a LOT of ice cream

My thoughts exactly on the base... Its good, but could be stronger. The swirl is what makes it. I much prefer the base from B&J's pumpkin cheesecake (a very nice light tartness to give that chessecake feel). Mix that and the TH swirl and its gold.

Just realized while in the store that Mrs. Fields is Canadian, I am assuming they are South of the border as well right?

I'm not sure which products are Canadian only that you guys are missing out on.

How does it compare to the talenti pumpkin pie?

havent found talenti so i cant compare. pretty sure talenti doesn't have much of a swirl (outside of maybe a flavoring swirl, no graham or anything) so icant see it being as good just based on texture and mixed flavoring (graham and pumpkin)

Yes

Found a few lists online but they must be out-dated. said Eatmore bars, coffee crisp, ketchup chips, i am pretty sure that's all there now

The only ones I've seen are like little cookie only shops in the mall. Not like a standalone store

I just meant the mrs fields cookies themselves

Lol internet failing. Says no ketchup or all-dressed chips in the US

I give up lol

Get with it :)

Could have sworn you posted a pick of your freezer a couple weeks with talenti pumkin pie in your freezer!

He had a pumpkin pie blizzard and B&J's Pumpkin Cheesecake, which is meh....
Talenti (i have not had it) but has been shown in most reviews to trump it by a large margin

My fav Pumpkin's:

Jeni's Pumpkin and Armaretto cookie
Handels Pumpkin
Coldstone Pumpkin
Turkey Hill Pumpkin
Ben & Jerry's
Dairy Queen

I have not had Talenti yet

Can any American confirm whether or not you have:

Ketchup chips
All dressed chips
Eatmore bars (my fave)
Coffee crisp bars

??

I assumed you did but no one is responding lol

All dressed is a canadian thing but its amazing lol

That actually blows my mind. Its in every store here probably top selling next to plain Lays
