The Descent

When they show disfigured people like sticking their hand through people's throat, and nasty **** like that??

lol

That part is awesome!

LOL yeah, and the dude pulls his own eyes out and holds them at the camera? That **** still haunts me...

My girlfriend, of the time, talked me into going to Event Horizon.

I thought it was going to see a straight sci-fi flick, wrong.

I'm clenching my left hand as if I had a Bible, and my right as if I had a SMG, telling Captain Laurence Fishburne to kill himself before the Black Hole to Hell is activated.

It's like a cross between the first Hellraiser and the first Alien.

The production company forced the director to cut out 20 minutes of the hardest scences, some are avaliable on the extended DVD version, but most have been lost for a true Director's cut.
I'm going to have to get me a copy of that now.

That's exactly how I would describe it! Ive seen Event Horizon many times, and it freaks me out with every viewing.

Event horizon was so screwed up, and I only ever saw it on USA I think...I need to see the unedited version....I do remember that it was so creepy and awful that I blocked alot of it out....guess Ill have to see it.

On another note, I loved descent..The all female cast was a awesome idea, although not many characters distinguished myself, only sara, and juno really stood out to me...Also, there are some analysis's of the movie online and even a comment where a directo is talking about sara and says "she has killed all her friends....", almost implying that she went insane down in the cave and killed everyone off, which would explain the last scene.

Rumor has it a sequel is in the making.

Event Horizon! What a sick movie. A true horror and just down right disturbing! That scene of those random images you guys were talking about, they were also like having orgies and sh1t lol. that was some of the most disturbing images ive seen on an actual mainstream movie. The story was interesting as well. I gotta go get that dvd now haha.

Event Horizon was the ONLY movie that scared me. It embedded deep in my subconscious as I still have nightmares about it to this day (1997 debut makes this a 10 year anniversary!). I'll be having a vivid, lucid dream of being on an abandoned space-station and opening a door and a body is floating towards me suspended in zero gravity with lesions all over it's surface... it's nuts. Every month or two I'll have my mind remind me of it in a nightmare. One time I actually made it to an escape pod and launched towards earth... and landed in the Atlantic Ocean off the NJ coast. I went on the boardwalk and someone pointed out towards the sea and I noticed that another escape pod crash-landed near mine. I could also see the Event Horizon spaceship was at a very low altitude in earth's atmosphere. I was running on the boardwalk to get far away from the landing site, as the boardwalk was crowded with vendors and some people, etc. I stopped to look at a table that had some fireworks that a vendor was selling and I looked to my left and noticed a man/thing in a space-suit was on the boardwalk maybe 50 feet away and no one was really phased. He pointed at the sky and I guess the gravity drive had been engaged as the 'special-effects' of lightning and a vortex appeared and the ground started to shake. There was a burst of light and in the back of my mind I feared the the black hole was too close to the earth and that maybe the earth would be entrapped in the chaotic dimension or whatever... And I fell down and when I got up and looked around the boardwalk was abandoned, including the vending items (just empty tables) and the sky was a very odd, sinister colored whispy black and red... The entire array of buildings as far as the eye could see looked as if they had been uninhabited for years. The spaceman was gone, the Event Horizon was gone, everyone was gone, everything was gone. There was only me gazing at the sky and looking around. Then I woke up. Weird, but cool. It wasn't necessarily a nightmare that time, but there were freaky elements manifested.
