Insurance pays for blood test and doctor except small deductible.
Insurance pays for some medicines.
DepoTestosterone 10ml vial last about 3 months ($150 -$50)
HCG about $60 last 2 months
Liquidex $60 last about 30weeks
LiquiCia $60 last about 15 weeks
I spend lots of money on supplements, your hubby do not have to.
To get covered by insurance doctor must write proper ICD-9 codes.
I put my codes unde my blood test list.
$50/month Testosterone (compounded T cream in my case)
$30/month HCG (testicular maintenance)
$15/ co-pay for blood test
$5 misc. (syringes, etc.)
So maybe $100 a month plus the cost of seeing your doctor every 2 months. My visits are covered by insurance (doctor lists diagnosis of hypogonadism).
For me that's a net savings of a few hundred bucks a month when I look back at all the "test-boosting" supplements I used to buy/try. I was a supplement junkie.
I used to post on the Supplement Section of another forum when someone asked "You're almost 50, why screw with this crap and find a doc to prescribe the real thing?" That was my "DUH Moment".
Monthly bloodwork: $10.00 copay
1-10ml Test-Cyp@200mg/ml: $10.00 copay, lasts 2.5 months
I'm dosed at 100mg per week.
Syringes and all need accessories: 10/month max.
Yes I do have health insurance and last year I used Androderm and paid close to $700.00 for the year.
Peace,
CR
