I had my rep day in the Cube rotation for deadlift the other night, and I pulled 375x10, 10, 405x8, 8 from blocks, and 350x10, 10 from a deficit beltless....it WAS cardio lmao - deadlift should never have to be performed for over 6 reps!

I felt like I was gonna puke with my belt on the 2nd rep of deficits, so I unlatched it and kept on trucking. Was easier without it lol

I took the rest day. it was due, and I was tired.

I'm probably going to do some hunting this weekend. It may be a four-day weekend for me, so we'll see when. Kiddo can't go, because he "chose" to not do some homework this week; instead play with his friends.

You're definitely not overstepping. Any parental advice is welcomed. It can be so hard to make decisions like this.

Unfortunately, we have too many times let situations like this slip this year. It has been a weekly thing of either choosing to skip homework or studying, and then we get an email saying he took a zero or low grade. We have done the extra chore thing, but need something that will resonate.

There will be plenty of time to hunt this season and many more, but we have to nip this school behavior in the bud.
 
Parent first, friend later. It hurst sometimes but it makes them accountable for their actions. My stepson went through stages of "challenging" me. I think when I took his bedroom door off that it sank it that I would always win. I basically took away his freedom and privacy for 2 weeks. He now agrees with how I raised him as he said it made him what he is and life is so much easier than his pampered friends who left home and had to face reality that life isn't as easy as it seemed.

I never go heavy enough to need pins on bench. It was a weird mistake...

The only rack with adjustable pins was taken anyhow. Next week I'll do reverse banded in that rack, if it's available.

Was down in FL last month shooting hogs. Had 4 feeders set up, and a **** ton of deer were feeding on em, but it was still bow season.

Deer. Last weekend was the opening for rifle. I have a bow, still in the box... Maybe next year on that.

We don't have any hogs on our land, thank God. They're everywhere in Fl.

They are. I usually go on a 1000 acres of farm land; they don't mind us doing pest control to save the crops. When we find the piglets, we just throw em in the truck and take em back to a pen we built. They'll eat anything, so it gives us an excuse to kill the possums and armadillos as well. Always a blast. I usually bring a glock, ar15, and bolt action 308. Might be about time to add a crossbow or bow to the mix.

We have archery ranges on base. I always complain about having nothing to do in NC, well maybe I should refine my archery skills for next season.

If I were to see a hog I'd remove him. They're a nuisance.

I don't know what happened to my squats, tbh. On reverse banded squats I had gotten up to 385x3-4, I believe. I don't recall the rests though, nor why I was doing with warmups on leg curls. I think my leg curls weren't as heavy then and I wasn't doing so many BW squats. :dunno:

Man, I was in such a rush I forgot my STIMUL8. My plan was to take it prior to hitting the stand instead of coffee. For the focus, energy, and limited fluids so I don't have to pee. I did remember my Muscle Fiber though.

This week is kinda screwed up. No matter what I have to do legs this weekend. Hopefully chest too. I guess it's a chest/shoulder pump day tomorrow and I'll skip arms again.
 
Did you see any major form malfunctions in my DLs?
Don't crane your neck. Keep it packed. Which I know can be difficult when the weight gets heavy.

Back could be flatter to start (if that's your prerogative) but I didn't see much, if any, flexion so it's whatever.

If you're concerned with getting better at DLing, I'd recommend sticking to pulls from the floor, for now.

All in all, solid work bud
