Swol and Boone's Quest To Get Hyooooge

Their Deep Fried Breaded Chicken is amazing, same with their mashed potatoes, gravy, and also meatloaf
They also have taco's (dont know if yours did) toss some grilled peppers and onlons in there. Not bad.

meatloaf was basically a dried brick. Fried chicken was good, just not my thing. I actually skipped the mashed potatoes in favor of baked sweet potatoes and sweet potato fries. They did have fajitas which were good. Surprisingly their guacamole was great.

11 plates?!? Wth?! I could barely get through 2 plates. I hate going to buffets, they always make me sick.

haha my gf has that problem too. Anytime we go to a buffet she ends up sick and I don't understand

Lol, I think it's because I eat too quick and when I feel it drop into my stomach (30-40 mins later), it makes me nauseous.

Hawaiian Luau Buffet... my lanta. i've never eaten so much fish chicken and roasted pork. grilled pineapple was UNREAL

i hit a squat PR two days ago, 320 at 155, phone died mid recording a form check at 275. spotter said i definitely hit depth and he didn't touch me which is good, but i want to focus on moving 300+ faster for a bit before i reattempt a 1rm. and weekly average weight up a lb, will most likely increase another 100 kcals this week per day.

Most of that food may be sitting there all day thats what most people do not realize. The shelf life on buffet food is days long. literally, if they do not go through it they just re-heat it the next day. most buffets are run like this, hence how they make so much $$$ and stay in business.

that's exactly what my gf does too ha. Most girls have baby stomachs and eating fast just doesn't allow it all to hit til it's too late ;)

:D oh man, I thought it was only me.

Super bowl Strombolis. They were massive (like 3lb and 2lb at least). So good too.

Today starts my cutting time but really I'm just gonna get started by cutting out the junkier foods. Gonna try to keep calories at 3000 for this week and just remove the sugary cereals, ice cream, oreos, etc. focus on getting my carbs from oats, quinoa, potatos, etc and my fats from eggs and nuts.

First cutting day yesterday was interesting. I really wans't prepared food-wise and got off work late/had a bit of a lengthy leg day so I was rushing for dinner. Ended up stopping at TJ's and picking up some yellow fingerling potatoes and some roasted turkey. Ended up with a pretty tasty and clean meal. It was a bit odd not eating a couple bowls of french toast crunch and a pop tart ha.

Leg day was absolutely brutal. One thing I do like about being at a bigger/busier gym is that I'm very self conscious which makes me go deeper and with better form then I might if I am alone... it's harder to slip up when you know people are watching. I'm really feeling it today too (waddling around the office, afraid to go to the bathroom)

So over the last week or so I've been trying to figure out why it looks and feels like I gained so much fat the last 2-3 weeks of my bulk, when through the rest of the 4months i had gained very minimal... I realized jsut now that this coincided directly with the end of m ABE/Amax/ArA run... just amazing how much of a difference those seem to have made for me as there has been a noticable increase in my waist siz just these last few weeks that was not there even with all of the holiday eating and such.

That stack is officially my new go-to for lean gains.

You also eating whatever and not tracking 11 plates at a golden corral, eating whatever at a pizza party a few days later, and all you can eat sushi earlier in the week is probably a strong reason as well.

sushi, gc, and Super Bowl homemade Stromboli were the only 3 untracked meals and cheat meals at that. Everything else has been within cals. Macros may have been off a day or two but cals were still stuck to so that's not in question. 3 meals over 4 weeks doesn't account for the fat/waist gain alone

He likes to give you crap about your diet like a husband to a fat wife, lol. But then in other threads say if you're not a professional why stress about a meal here and there cause what does it matter really. What does he have against you and your cheat meals? lol BTW if you really ate 11 plates that's freaking impressive!

You're not alone is noticing this when coming off AnaBeta Elite and/or ArA.

Both do wonders for body composition and increased calories during the duration of running each. Coming off is always a bummer.

This is why I like to run AnaBeta Elite + ArA and then when coming off, throw in a solid GDA when I'm taking my 4 weeks off.

3 meals in 4 weeks that was 1 week buddy!

One of 11 plates at Golden Corral. Never again ha. With the exception of a few things, that was one of the grosser meals I've ever eaten. Just felt like I ate lard on everything. Might have eaten someone's child at some point too as the were crawling everywhere.

Finally settled in in my new apartment and getting acquainted with the area. Crushed some serious Hugh quality sushi last night after a great back day.

Referencing this tough guy here
There is a fine line between moderation, 3 cheat meals a week especially when you eat 11 plates at a golden corral and an AYCE sushi until you feel sick is a little bit over "Moderation" for most

you are correct but I was referring to the entire time since coming off. I didn't gain all this weight in a week either ha

No tough guy here, lol. Was just busting chops. And a bit of jealousy of all the good food being eaten

Busting chops at 3 cheat meals a week and considered it moderation?
Far from it. Especially when boone even said he did not really care and just wanted to chase a number (200 lbs) the final week of bulking.

I didn't read through the whole thread, you'll see my comment was after he said 3 meals in 4 weeks. Either way he ended his bulk with a blow out, and he's not in a competition so who really cares

No sense in arguing bud. Some ppl HAVE to have the last word lol

there is a major difference between "moderation" in 3 cheat meals in 4 weeks compared to 1 week
Thats comparing apples to oranges . but that could be a major aspect for some recent weight gain when you eat as much as you possible can in 3 meals in 1 week which will cause some retention of water and weight. Probably why he went from 197-198 to well over 202 in a week.

]Weighed in finally this morning. 197.6 lb which was much lower then I expected given the type and amount of food I ate while traveling and such during the move. [/B]That said, I'm determined to hit 200 this week so I'll be hitting an LA fitness for a wicked pull workout tonight, legs tomorrow, and push sunday and at least 1 buffet (prob sushi) over the weekend and then another later next week. Gonna start dieting down a bit come February so that I can be in better shape for wedding/vacation time starting at the end of April.

sushi + SB Part + 11 plates at golden corral will do some damage to all of us regardless of how many GDA's or supps we take to prevent the weight/bloat/water gain.

No ones challenging you bob. Your constant need to address what others are doing with their diet and how they feel is bothersome. Boone made a statement, didn't ask for an explanation or "reasoning" from you as to why he gained weight.

Go ahead with your rebuttal, I'm sure it's coming.

So the last few days I've been having some odd extreme bloating/fullness/gas after my carb meals. Pre workout I usually have a cup of oats and the last three days I've just felt like I was going to explode for like hours after. Same thing with my evening meals. Went to bed the last couple nights just feeling like I was going to explode (which isn't uncommon for me) but the fullness usually goes away within an hour or so... Last few days I've woken up still feeling like I hadn't digested anything. So yesterday I thought I would try removing the oats since maybe they wee the issue and tried brown rice instead. Had 3 cups with dinner that I. Was barely able to choke down (absolutely unheard of for me) and afterwards I was. So full I couldn't eat the rest of my cals for the night so I had to just choked down a protein bar for something. The weirdest part now is that I haven't eaten since 8pm last night and still don't feel quite digested. I woke up at 6am and still had an extremely full/bloated stomach (like visibly) and can't quite figure out why... Any thoughts?

I think I'm gonna go very low carb for a couple days and see if that improves things (at least the bloat and appetite) and go from there.

One of my most helpful changes for this was to separate my carbs and fats. 50% of my fats I get with breakfast, carbs post workout and after.

Im pretty high carb right now (300-375g) post workout and I like to drink a squig of bragg's ACV before and after. It helps me (or so I feel it helps) digest large amounts of food and carbs and there are some interesting articles on it as well. Just some food for thought

Only thing I can think of is maybe too much fiber? Or ya gotta poo lol

Can't be the poo as I've been plenty regular ha. I would think fiber but that hasn't changed much if at all so not sure that could be it either.

I get almost all my data at 12p with my lunch and almost none pwo so I'm in the same boat.

I'm sitting at 375 myself. Never tried acv tho. Worth a shot tho for sure Cuz it's cheap ha.

good quick read. Interesting about the fluid intake. Could be an issue as I usually drink a good bit with my pre and post meals.

Yeah, I notice a difference with bloating when I limit water with and around meals.

Quick read indeed. Thanks Breezy.

Finally got my appetite back for the most part yesterday and found some carb sources that I am able to eat to get all my carbs in and lower the volume significantly: grape nuts! those little nuggets are loaded with carbs and are nice and "clean" as well. Had a little rice yesterday too just to test things out and it still seemed to give me a bit of trouble. Very odd as I have never had any issue like this before.

Gonna try to stick mostly to the grape nuts and maybe try out some other things for a little while. Off day today so carbs will be a little lower anyways.
