Switching from higher carb to keto during a cut

Any issue switching to keto on the tail end of a cut? Reason i ask is because it may take a bit for the body to get into ketosis and will the body be too deprived of carbs during that period before it starts using fat for energy?

You can if you want to. It can take up to 4 weeks to switch over, you really have to up your fats and limit your protein while keeping carbs under 20g a day IMO to switch over quickly! You can do it but you may feel pretty crappy until you have done as in brain fog, loss of strength ect.

Just the lethargy for the first couple days, IF you get it. I personally don't get it.

Just make sure you keep fat intake high, at least 75% of your macro's, keep sodium and potassium levels higher than normal and you should be ok.

I would add more calories at first as well. Whatever you are taking in now, add 300 calories to it when you switch to keto.

at the tail end of a cut is when I usually go into keto, I like that idea.....I wouldn't recommend just going straight keto from like 300g's of carbs though, I slowly lower my carbs for a few months, so that when you go keto, you won't all of a sudden just switch things up on your body....I hope that makes sense

The first few days are either going to not be to bad or really suck. You may also have to adapt your training and supplementation as well depending on energy and recovery.
