Swanson's Penultimate 5/3/1 Powerlifting Log...for real

Down 45 pounds, going to start yoga and weighted vest walks next week. Looking to lose a total of 90 pounds or so. Even with a weekly refeed day I'm still dropping weight consistently with zero cardio or conditioning and very little, very light weight training.

My wife and I are hoping to be in good enough shape to hike a 14'er this season (probably in September).

Honestly I'll be surprised if I ever step on the platform again. I'm focused on getting in shape and not looking like a fatass right now. I just can't train for powerlifting like I need to with the way my work schedule works, and after training with a crew I can't find the fire to train heavy alone anymore.

I won't rule out trying a strongman comp though. There's a REALLY good strongman gym about 15 minutes from me. It intrigues me.
 
Strongman is great fun for sure! That would be a fun thing to do on occasion or as a new training regime. Congrats on the weight loss thus far!

Gracias amigo. It's been surprisingly easy; I love keto, just not when training heavy. I don't recover worth a ****. However I do not tire of eating red meat, cheese and spicy pork rinds.
 
Used to be a powerlifting log, now it's a keto/yoga/hiking log. My how things have changed.
