Swanky gets down with DCP2.0!

I'm going for 405 on squats tomorrow. If I can hit 375x3x3, then I can get 405
 
Alright, I carbed up with some cereal and downed my 4 caps of dcp. I'm hitting 405 tomorrow. No excuses.
 
SQUATS!

Ok, so I KINDA got 410 and 405 (which would be 25lb ans 20lb PRs), but I'm really not happy with the depth, so I'm going to say they were excellent attempts but not full squats yet. I'm still VERY proud of what I was able to do, especially since I just solidly broke into the 300s about 4 months ago or so. I did post the vids for both attempts though, so you guys can see what I'm talking about.

Squats: bw x10, 125x5, 215x3, 265x3, 285x2, 335x1, 410x1-0, 405x1, 355x3-3-3-3

I think if I had gone for 405 to begin with instead of being greedy and going to 410 I would have gotten it easy. But I went for 410, knew I was sloppy on the rep and tried for a second and failed, and I think this really made me struggle with 405 on the next attempt. Then you can see how much those two sets alone fatigued me by the fact I had to go down to 355 for triples when I was able to get them at 375x3x3 and 365x3x3 last time.

Yo forget that attempt stuff you did it man!! Yeah the form wasn't hundred percent but you put 410 on you back you went down and got back up. Nice job dude!

Thanks guys, but I can't cut myself too much slack. Next week is heavy triples and box squats, then the following week I'll take another crack at 410. ATG or bust

Off day today! Trying to get ahead on my school work so I don't get behind when the baby gets here. I'll be hitting my back tomorrow with rows, rev flys, good mornings and some rack pulls til I pass out, then a couple more rack pulls. I want to hit 435 on deads this week.

Bent BB rows: 125x6, 200x6, 220x5-5-5

DB Pullovers: 50x25-23(+3)-20(+2)

Goodmornings: 125x5, 215x5-4-3
 
I'm really enjoying hitting my compounds in the 3-6 rep range and singles or doubles and then my auxiliary lifts are all light weight, long eccentrics and very high reps to get the muscles pumped and full of nutrients for repair. It's really been serving me well so far.

Thanks man! I'll tell you what, I haven't even LOOKED at my lifting straps since I bought chalk and it has improved my deadlifts so freekin much its nuts

Same here, I'm loving the chalk!! The straps just always seemed to get in the way

I hit up another chest day and added bi's in there too

Flat BB Press: bar x10, 125x5, 155x5, 195x3, 225x1, 255x2, 245x3, 235x3-3-2

Dead stop BB press: 210x3-3, 200x3, 195x3-2

Incline DB hammer curl: 30x15-15-12-10

EZ bar preacher curl (1 1/2 reps): 30+bar x10-10-10 dropset to empty straight bar (35lbs) x15

Standing reverse grip EZ bar curls: 30+bar x22-22-22

drewsicle3210 I took some video of how I do my dead stop presses. This was my set at 200lbs. Doing it this way really makes the weight feel a lot heavier lol

At top (lockout) position take a big breath and hold it, bring bar down slowly and exhale when it touches your chest. Hold bar there touching your chest but not allowing it to press in very hard keeping tension on your pecs. Take a full breath in, push the bar off your chest and exhale at lockout.
