Swanky gets down with DCP2.0!

hit up a very quick shoulder session, don't have a ton of time though. I have a bunch of school work to get done before monday.

Shoulders

Wide grip BB press: barx10, 55x10, 130x12-11-8
Behind the head BB press (first time doing these) barx12-12-14-14 (wanted to get the feel, I'll put a little weight on it next time)
BB shrugs: 125x10, 215x5, 335x3-3-3-3, 215x10-10

My hands are beat to hell now between those shrugs and all the deadlifting this morning, yowch!

LOL! Thanks brother! Just weighed in at 230.0lbs this morning

haha, I've gotten to be a big boy these days! I'm up 75-80lbs in a little less than 2 years.

What's weird is that I don't look that big. Here's a pic of me with my wife at dinner last night:

Thanks Caz! She's doing alright, just a little uncomfortable and having trouble sleeping. We're due any time in the next week or so!

You have any before photos to share? 75-80 pounds ago?

You look solid as fugg, bro. I get similar feelings so I know what ya mean. I'm only 195lbs though, yet people always compliment me on my size. I end up just thinking they're f'ing with me. How tall are you? 6? 6'1?

Christmas 2009. I was 1 month out from quitting being a vegan and probably about 150lbs

Dude you look like you ate that kid!!! Huge gains in lean mass very impressive

that was well before I ever touched a weight. I then proceeded to get really really fat, and then dropped all the way back down to 150-155 in dec'11/jan'12 and bulked up from there. So I've actually put on just about 1lb/week average for the last 19 months.

Funny thing is, when I was at my fattest, wearing size 42 pants (in 34 now) I only weighed 7 lbs more than I do now. Lol

You and I have the same story. At 19 years old I weight 240 and was a fatty size 40 waist. In 8 months dropped down to 168 doing all cardio and diet no weights. Now I'm 220 with a 34 size waist and a beast!! Lol I knew I liked you for some reason lol

Thank god you found a reason. Lol

I was that fat at age 20. Maybe fatter. Weighed 175. Had size 40 pants. It was ridiculous. I didn't even realize i was getting fat until I got there. I will find that photo tomorrow and share it.

I was 6' 140 all through high school. Very fast metabolism. If I had known anything about weight training when I was younger, I would have jumped all over it. Didn't get into it until 23 maybe; got tired of booze and junk food. Everything in my life got better after that.

I was 117 senior year lol

I was 127 lbs in 2nd grade...Seriously obese child. I remember that because I went to a wrestling camp in 2nd grade and I could only wrestle one other kid lol

This was me jan 1, 2011
Worked out a couple months (August-October) quit and I couldn't stay away. My gym cherry had been popped, I wanted to see where I could go!

Weighed around 150 here.

75-80 lbs in 2 years is pretty impressive. What's the story with the vegan?

I became a vegetarian when I was 12 (read some hippie book on animal testing) then a vegan at 15 because of a girl I was dating (she was that hot lol). It stuck until thanksgiving of 2009 after incessant prodding from my wife to give it up.

I'm so glad she got me to switch. Seriously.. lol :)

Lol I'm sorry that's sad. Ha!

I was also really fat in middle school. At 13 I was at 215. Dropped to 150 over the summer between 8th grade and high school. Nobody recognized me when school started. Lol

Had a pretty disappointing chest day today. I think I need to back off on my 1RM attempts and work on building up a solid base of triples the next couple of weeks and work more on my dead stops.

Chest:

Flat BB press: bar x10, 125x5, 155x5, 195x3, 225x1, 280xfail, 275xfail, 255x1, 245x3, 240x2, 230x3, 225x2

Dead stop flat press: 210x3-2, 200x3, 195x1, 185x2

Speed press (AMAP in ~20sec): 110x17-16-12

Incline plyo pushups: 10-10-10

Incline fly (for pump, slow reps, tight contraction): 20x25x25x20

I don't know why, but bringing my bench up is proving to be uch more difficult than squats or deadlifts which is probably the opposite from most people. Well, if I wasn't a little bit strange I just wouldn't be me I guess. lol

don't let it bother ya, man. just keep at it and you'll get where ya want.

Not really bothering me per se, just need to adjust training protocol until I find that sweet spot

Those are good numbers, no reason to be upset about it. You think hitting more reps at a lower weight might help some? I have been making slow progress on bench as well. I am going to try these deadstops next chest day.

yeah hitting up sets for 3-5 reps builds your strength base up.

when you do deadstops, let the bar touch your chest with constant tension on the pecs for 1-2 seconds, then explode up as fast as possible

As if you haven't been jerked off enough, bro, you look incredible. If I saw you in public I'd offer to scissor you right there.

Woops wrong forum :yumyum:

nope, this is definitely the right place for that kind of commentary. Offer accepted, my friend, scissor away!! lol :)

seriously, though, thanks. I still feel like I look pretty small up top for 230 because I'm so quad/glute/calf dominant in my body structure

So i thought I'd post up my review for DCP2.0 now and get it out there since I've been running it almost 6 weeks now.

Let me just say this is probably one of the best supps I've ever run, and definitely the best of its kind. I've been on a consistent calorie surplus with some very high carb days that would typically leave me bloated. I found that by taking 2 caps AM, 2 caps PM and 4 at bed time, if I ate carbs late at night, instead of waking up boated and soft, my muscles felt tighter and harder and I had more power behind my lifts. I think the nutrient optimizing qualities of DCP2.0 also helped my recovery out a lot allowing me to lift heavier, and hit PRs almost every single session!

I can only imagine how awesome this stuff would be with a recomp or cut protocol to help optimize nutrient utilization and recovery.

Overall, I give it a 10/10 despite the weird tasting burps :)

Thanks so much for the opportunity to run this, and I appreciate all of the interaction I've gotten from the BPS reps in my thread. A lot of times you run a log and the reps will peak in from time to time, but you guys really came along for the ride and made it fun!

I'm not done yet though, I'm going to keep on rocking in here for a while so don't go anywhere! :)

posted my review up in the AM reviews section and on NutraPlanet for you guys. NP takes a few days to post, so you should see it later this week

I don't want it to be over. I promised myself I wouldn't cry :worried:
