Supps when sick

Man this sucks. I took a 3 day weekend off to go to the lake and relax a little. Got back and had three great workouts and now I'm sick. Feel like I got hit by a damn truck. I missed today and will probably miss tomorrow. I take supps on my days off and will probably take them over the next two days just to keep in my system, but when your out for more than two days due to illness how do you do your supps?
 
I always keep taking whatever non-stimulant supplements I'm on whenever I get sick.

I also try to make sure that I keep downing plenty of my #1 supplement -- food, especially fruits and vegetables. I think the immune system needs a lot of fatty acids and vitamin C to fight off a cold.
 
yea i usually continue taking most of my supps and up my poseidon dosage...but i am not usually sick for very long. hope u get better man
 
Take a good multi vitamin/mineral, plenty of protein, a good anti-oxidant (with fruit based components) and something like GUT health.
 
The one time a year I do get sick, I just drink as much water as my body can handle. Like 2-3 gallons a day, sometimes more. I almost never take prescription drugs for any sickness. Something like Gut Health would definitely help you though. Vitamin C is good to take also. Anyways, hope you start feeling better!

Edit: I entirely missed the point of the OP. I would still continue your regular supps.
 
I am taking my regular non-stimulant supps. I have been sick for 7 days as of today. Also added ecenecia(still can't spell this) to my list of supps. Xtend seems to help a lot during my sickness. The important thing is to rest because your body can't recover if you work out. I can't even think about exercise at this point. I only got about 2 hours of sleep the night before last because of coughing keeping me up. Last night I too Nquil which I will continue to take until my sand paper like coughing goes away.
 
I agree with the rest. I was really tempted to try to workout, yet I know my body needs rest not exercise at this point. I also hate taking any over the counter meds for a cold, never seem to do anything anyways. I will take the recommendations for water and increase my intake. Lots of water and soup today. Hopefully it is just a bug and I can be back to the gym in another day or two. Protein, I'll take a shake later, had some fish for lunch and I have some clam chowder for dinner, maybe another protein shake tonight.
