Superman Returns 2006 - Suit: yay or nay?

first up heres my take on super man
That dude from ripleys believe it or not need to play superman
and Vin Diesel should play lex luther.
Hulk Hogan can play doomsday
 
No solid news of a supervillain, however I've read rumours about General Zod who may be in it (the leader of the 3 villains in Supes 2)

So far it's just Supes returning after a 6 year exile and how the world reacts to him bla bla.. and Lex and his crazy plans..
 
I guessthey wrote it in since she can't have one with superman, because his indestructable super sperm would blow right thru her uterus faster than a speeding bullet.:D
 
Umm, but who did she have the kid with? And seriously what's with that anyway? Since when in the comics or really in ANY Superman mythos is Lois Lane a mother at all?!

Never, although I do remember one recently where he was in phantom zone and had kids, but that might have also been a dream sequence and, at any rate, not real!!

I'm slightly mad at this Superman movie...it took Brian Singer away from directing X Men III, so I'm not getting my hopes up for it. Superman should be cool though.
 
I saw it!!! Holy crap! The trailer was awesome. As the others, I'm not diggin the darker version of the costume; but damn it (the trailer) was pretty awesome!

Have you ever heard Gustavo speak? He's not Newyorican. He's Puerto Rican. He barely speaks any English.



Honestly though, Bob Chicerillo would have been awesome as Superman. He's got the face and the voice, and he's not a terrible actor. Certainly not any worse than this fairy.
 
I've never heard him speak; maybe he's not the best choice.
But you do get what im saying though. As mentioned earlier he has no special gagets, it just his body and powers. Why not atleast pay some amature body builder to play his part?
 
"Sauce" doesn't influence a guy's voice once he's already been through puberty. Just look at Ronnie Coleman. Heck, look at Mike Tyson; that guy did plenty and he's got a voice like Mickey Mouse.

Anyway, Bob Chicerillo would be perfect. The problem with most bodybuilders is that they are generally short. Bob is about 6' even, which is pretty much perfect.

There IS a problem with using a bodybuilder though: they can't really do a convincing Clark Kent.

but ya, as said earlier there probably just aiming this at teen girls.....i still think superman should be massive though
 
I think a bb'er for Supes is going too far - especially since there's no way a bb'er is going to blend in as Clark.

A guy like WWE's Batista, in my opinion, would be perfect - he looks good in a suit and he's big.

Actually, I'm fairly certain they're aiming this movie - now the most expensive film ever created at $326 million so far - at every Superman fan in the world.

Are you sure those aren't pics of a live action "Ambiguously Gay Duo" movie? (from SNL)

I am looking forward to it though. Hopefully the guy has a good screen presense.
 
Pictures I've seen show him with some massive quads. At least he's been doing squats :) Maybe he'll be bigger for the movie... there's no telling.

I hope Lex Luthor isn't portrayed as a half genius half fool. Come on, Lex Luthor has the highest IQ in all of DC COMICS.
