This is, by far, my favorite shake recipie. It is super healthy, and masks supplements well (if you want to add them). Whoop it up in the blender, start with about 1 cup of water, and add more as needed. Make sure to start with it extra thick to blend the oats, bananna, ice, and vitamins. I believe that blending the multi vitamin increases its bioavailability, and yields a time released effect. This has about 43-44 grams of protein. One extra scoop of strawberry casein and 1 Tbsp canola oil would probably make it cool for bulking. The extra casein would up it to about 65-66 grams of protein. I may add detailed nutrient info later. Even thouhg it's high calorie, it isn't all that filling. Sometimes I drink it pre-workout.
(1) frozen, ripe bananna
(1/2) cup DRY powdered milk
(1/2) cup RAW quick-cook oatmeal
(1) scoop of vanilla flavored whey protein (chocolate is okay, strawberry would probably work well)
(1-2) tsp of canola oil
(6-8) ice cubes
pinch of salt
(1/3) of a low-potency multi vitamin (trust me)
500mg vitamin C
Optional ingredients that I recommend:
caffeine, milk thistle, aniracetam, DMAE, dextrose, creatine, (anything that isn't overly nasty).
Did I mention that this shake is really cheap?
