SUP3R DHEA Q&A

Anyone actually using this as a test base? Say for something like 1-DHEA or any other oral with known lethargy?

I tried this for a few days earlier this week, but had to bail a few days in due to extreme lethargy. By day 2 (at only 2 caps of Sup3r-1 dhea per day) after I took the second cap with lunch I proceeded to spend the next 2 hours glued to my couch the lethargy was so severe. I had been running sup3r-dhea for a few weeks already at that point at 1.0 ml per day, and by week 2 it was going strong. I had fantastic all day energy and some extra aggression, which was both good and bad. It was nice when I was working out, but not so good as I was a bit snappy with my 3 year old daughter. It seems something in sup3r-1 dhea doesn't agree with me, this is my second attempted run with the product I've had to bail on due to feeling like I was sitting at death's door. Years ago I used both 1-AD and 1-Test transdermal products without such issues, so this surprised me a bit.

I was originally going to utilize sup3r-dhea and sup3r-4 dhea as a test base, but given that the sup3r-dhea was already irritating the area behind my nipple adding another wet compound seemed foolish. I would likely end up having to pop nolva pills like candy if I were to go that route. I've decided to switch gears and open up a bottle of RPN Havoc I've been sitting on for several years. I figured that since it's a dry compound it would be a good replacement for the sup3r-1. Seeing as how the sup3r-dhea is already going strong hopefully I should be able to keep any potential lethargy from Havoc at bay. I have some ar1maracare pro on the way for a bit extra liver protection, as the AI Sports cycle support I have on hand doesn't have tudca in it. I intend to start Havoc at 2 caps a day for the first week to test tolerance before I bump up to 3 caps per day to assess tolerance.

Finally had a reason to grab a bottle of this for an upcoming H-Drol cycle. Going to dose it until the bottle is gone. Got the bottle shipped for 21 bucks, can't beat that!

Dont see the need for DHEA on the boys. There's speculation of better convertion to Test/DHT, but no thanks.

I do however, apply a little Sustain Alpha there.

Can this stuff be used instead of Andro Gel?

It will not give you the same levels that AndroGel would, since it is a 2 step DHEA compound. Not really a lot of data on TD DHEA (comparatively) but you can try to draw some conclusions from this:

Effects of transdermal application of DHEA on the levels of steroids, gonadotropins and lipids in men.

Protocol

10 males ages ranging from 29 to 69 years old
5 grams of gel (or 50 mg’s of DHEA) was applied to the abdomen before bed each night for 5 consecutive days

Results

The after values in the table below were taken 10 hours after the last dose

As you can see this is not impressive when your goal is pure testosterone enhancement. Now there are some serious caveats to this, which include a tiny sample size, a lag time between last dose and hormone testing, and the fact that most topical DHEA products contain other ingredients (Dermacrine contains resveratrol, and others).

I'd also add that Super-DHEA has a lot more DHEA in it, applying to the clavicle, neck, trapezius area is the optimal location, and anecdotally (me with another product) splitting the dose into twice a day (6AM/6PM for example) may be better for steady levels.

Is this product supposed to be kinda runny? Been using mine for a few days and it's nothing like the Super-11 and is very liquid like. It seems like it has the same issue with the carrier breaking up because it sort of has chunks in it like the Super-11 flakes or whatever. Also the plunger jammed this morning, had to take it apart and blow something out of the tube, guess a lot of the actives got stuck. Anyone know what the deal is?

This and the dispenser spits the liquid out so it goes all over the place.

edit* I read back for some suggestions.

I clear the nozzle with a paper clip before each use. No issues

I use a paperclip for the same effect. I too have found the runniness is a bit of an issue, when trying to shake the product to mix it up before application I've found that it tends to come flying out of the nozzle even before pumping. The plus side of this though is that it dries pretty much instantly, so no waiting around for 10 minutes for it to dry before getting dressed.

Figured I'd update this with some results as a test base. I found that sup3r-dhea isn't quite enough by itself to overcome the lethargy on my RPN Havoc cycle. I had several times during the day that I just felt like having a nap, no longer how much sleep I got the night before. I even moved up to full dose of 2.0 ml per day, and still found that lethargy was a bit of an issue. I ended up adding in a few caps per day of sup3r-4, and have subsequently found that my energy levels are much improved. Sex drive hasn't been terribly high throughout, but I honestly wasn't that concerned about that aspect. I'm 40, and have been married for quite awhile now, so sex has pretty much ground to a halt anyhow. :icon_lol:

I'm up about 9 pounds after 5 weeks, and strength gains have been great as well. And this is only with 20mg per day of Havoc, so I have certainly can't complain, as the bottle of Havoc will give me a full 6 week cycle.

Anyone else had an allergic reaction to Sup3r-DHEA topical?

I've run it solo when it first hit the market and didn't remember having issues. I've also run a sup3r-1/sup3r-4 cycle without any allergy issues.
However, when I use Sup3r-DHEA & Sup3r-1 together I start itching and breaking out in red splotches.

Ideas?

Well...I think I just answered my own question. I have a strong allergic reaction to salicylates (I took aspirin once...once). My fault...unfortunately I didn't read the label closely enough as one of the Inactive ingredients is 'octyl salicylate'...an organic compound used in sunscreen.

Just wonder if the effect is amplified with the addition of Sup3r-1...?

I was just about to post this. I bought 5 bottles. On my first and I get itchy and red.

Is this worth running solo? For 12 weeks on a cut.
Say at half a pump per day, would oncycle support be required (i.e. Blockade)?
It mentions a pct so would a otc pct be enough?

IMO, it would be a waste solo, unless you are *really* in the basement as far as Test levels go (in which case a Dr. is in order) - or *maybe* are in the 40+ age group and have naturally declining DHEA levels normally. No matter what, it's a "feel good" supplement (either as a base on cycle, or old age replacement), as it isn't going to put your levels through the roof (there is a study on TD DHEA posted somewhere on here - it's "OK" as a base, but 4-AD and/or Epiandro is better, not to mention Trest) - but for some, it does the job (I loved it with Ostarine) and is less "harsh" (not that 4-AD is harsh, but TD DHEA is even less so, IMO). I like going with lowest impact while getting the job done.

i'm late 40's.. dont have low test though..

Darn it. Haven't used it yet (Feb 1 starting date) - I should do a test rub. I'll be pissed - you do it on the Clavicle/Neck/Shoulder area?

Yep all three areas lol. It really only itched when I really sweat in the gym. Wasn't all the time. I'll say about 40% of the time. Goes away after the gym sweats and shower.

why is stuff like this not being sold any longer? Dermacrine / RS Transaderm are gone...rumor is there is some kind of grey area in the USA with transdermals and these companies decided to axe these products?

Huh? This is still active, as is the single item link: Invalid Link Removed

The OL guys can chime in if they are planning to stop production of TD DHEA.

I thought this would be like Super 11 but it's like a brownish yellow and really runny and leaks if not standing upright. The citrus smelling super 11 was much better.

its garbage, dermacrine and rs transaderm were the only good ones around imo
We are aware of criticism of the carrier/solution and taking it all into consideration. Unfortunately it will require some more tweaking to improve on the convenience of application. The color is a direct result of some ingredients and can't really be changed much. It is still the highest concentration and most potent transdermal DHEA supplement on the market, not to mention the other beneficial ingredients included. The carrier absorbs very well so it is highly effective, albeit not as dialed in as Dermacrine. Dermacrine is no longer produced.

I have been on it a week and in 3 more weeks I am going to start my epiandro legend cycle. I am going to get bloods right before so I should know then if sup3r dhea is working, I had bloods a month ago also for my annual physical.

Definitely worked fine for me....ran it for 8 weeks. But then I don't care what my supps taste or look like as long as they work. And the smell is a cool spearment.....

This can be ran all your round and am I correct?
This is not advised unless on TRT as some of the compounds can be slightly suppressive. DHEA is a parent prohormone of so many different vital hormones that prolonged high levels could possibly cause a negative feedback loop and potentially negatively effect endogenous levels of several possible natural hormones.

Gotcha. Not on TRT. I appreciate it my brotha

Would carbomer work as a thickening agent bro?

I was thinking about this earlier, maybe dumping it out into a little rubber maid container and adding another carrier to it and using a syringe to apply.

Yes, possibly. I would test a small partial batch in Tupperware like pswain suggested. On the bright side, I've received word that our carrier is indeed being upgraded:dance:

Yeah man been testing it for a few weeks now :afro:

I took this recently on a LGD/Osta cycle to deal with lethargy (in about week 4 of my cycle). I used about half a pump per day on my abdomen/stomach after showering. After about three days I noticed a lot more motivation/ less lethargy, but my nipples/chest started itching a lot. After about a week I got worried about the itching and stopped using it: the nipple issue went away the next day.

I just wondered if that was a common side-effect of the product? It sounds like a symptom of elevated estrogen, but I thought the product contained ingredients that controlled estrogen. Also, using it didn't give me acne, hair issues, or elevated estro symptoms like moodiness/sensitivity/bloating etc.

I am thinking of trying out a quarter pump dose (with a syringe measure) in a few days because the LGD is pretty tough without some kind of test base. The possibility of gyno developing is pretty scary though; but using an proper AI with this seems like overkill. Any thoughts?

Sup3r-Dhea does indeed contain a mild aromatase inhibitor. Keep in mind that in male primates LGD itself did cause some mammary Secretion/Dialation.

Nipple sensitivity is a common side-effect of playing with your hormones. It can happen when using a wide range of hormonal products, and DHEA is one of them. Hormonal imbalances or a changing hormonal environment will cause both androgen and estrogen receptors to activate in different ways then they might under 'normal' circumstances.

I would advise against applying DHEA to the stomach or the chest. DHEA has been shown to directly activate the Estrogen receptor without conversion to female sex hormones. It does have a greater binding affinity for the ER-beta receptor over the ER-alpha receptor but transcription can take place in both cases.

If using DHEA again, try applying it to areas that are dense in androgen receptors and low in body fat. Ideal application sites would be the traps, upper back, shoulders, biceps, neck/clavicle area.

Thanks Toren, good info: I'll try applying it to shoulders/biceps etc and see how it goes.

I am blown away by the number of folks that are so bent out of shape about the carrier. As long as the carrier works who gives a s**t???? You didn't buy this to be some great skin conditioner. Want a little more bulk add a pump of hand sanitizer. I have been using 1/2ml on each shoulder every morning for about about Jan 20. Energy improved and energy levels are up. I think I will bump up to 1.5ml and see what that brings. Compared to others the value on this is great.

This.

I love this stuff.
