summer shredden with Ironflex

I upped the brawn to 60 mg today and hit a light back work out. My body is starting to feel semi beat up so I'll take it easy for another day and keep pushing on

I swear, I always mix up your log with superbeast's log. Ahhhhh...

60 of Epi is nice that as high as I have gone.. My next run in a few weeks I may push it up to 100!!!! I keep hearing 80 and up is crazy good..

Well I went and f*cked up. I think I may have torn my trap. I can't move my left shoulder and it is pain to try and move my neck.

Tearing a trap would take a lot. Strained/pulled is more likely. Let's hope anyway.

Rest up, homie. Ice that sumb*tch 15min on/15min off for 2 sets a couple times a day.

Behind the back shrugs. I held at the top and then felt fire up my neck down my left arm and down my back

You might hit the chiropractor too. You may have pinched a nerve. And then go see a masseuse and get some deep tissue massage... with or without a happy ending.

^^^ This with the happy ending makes the pain feel much better..

Damn, well I'm thinking bout simply starting pct and resting up. I have put on 5lbs so it hasn't been a complete bust...

Oh man, sorry to hear about the trap! About the epi, yes 100 mgs a day is sick!! That's what my last run was

See, McCrew? That's 2 votes for the happy ending and none for quitting. Maybe Puccah can meet you half way and give you a good rub down.

I've had this happen to me before. I also had a sharp pain under my scapula. If memory serves me, it was from doing the exact same thing with 275 lbs. Once I got home, I laid face down on the floor and crossed my right arm straight across my body. Just as you do to stretch but I put my full weight on my arm and rotated left with my whole body to really stretch it out. Did the same for the left side and then rolled on my back. From there I stretched my neck from shoulder to shoulder then down to my chest while pulling on my head with my hands. I did the snap crackle pop and pain was pretty much gone.

I mean this from the bottom of my heart all the support means the world to me I really appreciate it.

If u can find a trigger point then that's good news.. Hit it with heat, then get a tennis or lacrosse ball and roll the hell out of it till u cry.. Then hit it with ice.. I bet it is somewhere near your shoulder blade and traps.. You'll be amazed how much better it will feel

You would be correct thats exactly where the pain is centralized, And I do think there is a trigger point therapist there ill hit her up. I have been rolling it and icing it i hope this heals up quick.

Not what it was yet, but getting there. Strength is coming back and I can do 60 db flies without dropping the db! Lol. Haven't been to the gym in a while so I've just been lifting at home. Once I get back to the gym, I'll be able to try something heavier than 60 lbs. I'm getting there!

Well I'm going to be out a couple of weeks. Apparently I have zero curve in the vertebrae of my neck. This is the main cause of the pinched nerves and headaches.

That's a result of muscle spasm, not the cause, usually.

It could be secondary to a pinched nerve or disk, muscle injury, or other causes. Did you get just an x-ray? That's not going to identify the cause, unless you had an obvious disk or vertebral injury.

What can be done for that?

Chiropractor took some x-rays and is recommending a month of therapy three times a week getting adjusted and some other stuff. Its probably from a car accident I was in a couple of years ago. The doc said I could be back in the gym after the second week though.

That sucks, bro....damn.

Sounds like a couple weeks of leg extensions, ham curls, and calves ;)

Sounds like its from a wreck. My wife has same prob, but its bad enough she will never have the curve in her neck. Cruise slow and get better bro.

What are your symptoms? Cervical adjustment can be dangerous. If your symptoms are primarily secondary to muscle spasm/strain I wouldn't necessarily advise that. You may benefit simply from heat, rest, and a muscle relaxant. If you have weakness or burning/shooting pain you should probably get a MRI. If you have a disk issue no amount of chiropractic manipulation is going to help it.

I hoping you have a speedy recovery. We all know what it's like when we have a day off from lifting and all you do is sit around thinking of training:)

I was told the same thing with my neck years ago. Roll up a towel or your pillow a little and sleep on your back with that under your neck. It's what my chiro had me do and it worked for me. Hopefully it'll work for you too!!

Before this thing happened with my back it was mainly headaches, pain down the neck, numbness in the fingers, and some tension in the neck, Now its a consistent pain down the left side of the shoulder.

Thanks brother 2 weeks in the span of a lifetime is minimal plus its only costing me ten bucks a session so I hope this will help. Just have to stay focused on the diet while I am not working out.

That was actually on his list of stuff for me to do :)

It sucks but I would rather be able to go 100% than be stuck in a lower gear ya know? Plus I am sure a little time off will be good for me.
